Title: Does implant fix curve?
Post by: ohnoohno on January 14, 2023, 09:06:54 AM
I'm wondering if you just get an implant does the curve go? do they remove the plaque?

Seems like I might be getting some hourglassing - brilliant! lol but whatever at this point...

Can implant fix hourglassing?

Implant can def and will in most cases fix hourglassing over time. If you have an experienced surgeon who does inplants on Peyronies patients they will likely bend your penis as straight as they can during the operation. 90% of implant pics I see there is no curve left.

The pumping process over time will give you a little extra girth and lenght because you are constantly expanding the cylinders to maximum capacity. All the guys I've read about who did implants said dents got filled out within a year,

This is my aim to fix with the implant as well. I have severe hourglass semi-erect but now its starting to affect my erections and also erections are harder to sustain. If it wasn't for my age and revisions id have gone for it over 3 years ago I think, but now it seems inevitable at some point. With peyronies Hakky seems to be the man to see

Right! Yeah I'm about 6 months into my Peyronies Disease journey (discovered in the summer 22).

My problem is right below glans so fortunately my shaft still is pretty straight but just below my glans bends to the right, but now I'm getting a little bit more pain when erect and looks like hourglassing. I actually tried to not get erect and just leave it for a 4-5 days and this happened so I'm getting back on my cialis and VED.

Hoping that if everything fails I can just get the implant and be back to "normal" somewhat for my thirties lol

An implant likely can't fix curves just below the glans

Hey guys, just a reminder, people that comment on this site are not doctors. We are commenters that share our thoughts and concerns.
So when I read that something can't do or will do, I understand it one person's opinion. I suggest that anyone who is battling Peyronie's Disease to stay involved with a GOOD urologist that specializes in Peyronies Disease.
I would also suggest that you read the posts on this sites of other men that have struggled with this disease.
Stay well and healthy.

Right! It'd work better for curves on the shaft I guess?

My curve isnt that bad now to be honest, but ive got hourglass just below glans, I have ED but cialias gets me hard..

If you get erections with pills and your deformities are not that bad, why are you thinking about an implant?

Dr. Eid has fixed curves in excess of 200 degrees with an implant.  There are photos on this forum as well as on his site.

I had an hourglass deformity that looked like someone pressed their thumb into hot butter near the base of my penis.  It was gone from day one as soon as I started inflating.  He did make a few relaxing incisions in the plaque during surgery.

Read this journal https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,11929.0.html

Here are photos of one of Dr. Eids surgeries fixing a bend with only an implant, some manual remolding, and probably a few relief incisions https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPCiwuLEx05gi7oN8A3veJ-TY06NRfzhBshJXLRZMVDUDH7-T4vEl6iD-ohHEufXw?key=cWJ5RDhvYTY4NnRKQ1JTeTNhT0xTWnhIWWN2NWV3

Interesting! So you got the implant then? Are you able to have sex multiple times a day with it or once a week or so?

I'm not sure honestly! Maybe I'll be ok, I was just in a pretty good position before, could always get real solid and "go" multiple times a day ... I dont have a girlfriend right now but im already thinking about when I do how will I be able to be myself in that area... Maybe I can find someone with a smaller libido ha

Like anyone with a functional implant, I could have sex continuously for days without a break to the extent our other body parts could endure.  That does NOT mean we would enjoy it.  Libido is unconnected to a rigid penis in a man with an implant.  A man with an implant is limited only by his drive and libido.

It is clear you have not read any of the critical Sticky Posts permanently highlighted at the top of this board.  If you read any of the member's surgical journals indexed here (including mine), it would answer most of your questions and several you have not even thought to ask.

Well thats great to know! Before Peyronies I could have sex multiple times a day.. Not sure I could now but if I get an implant and its possible this is good news..

I read somewhere on here that you might have sex once a week with one is why I ask

Hey! Our situations sound almost identical. I'm 27 years old, my Peyronie's is near the glans (under and on the left of the glans), I have hourglassing where the plaque is located when flaccid and when making a bowel movement, I've also lost over an inch (started with 7.5" now at 6.4"). I wish there was a way to categorize each manifestation of Peyronie's, there's seem to be patterns in each one of them, maybe this would make it easier for doctors to find a quick solution for each case. Anyways, I just wanted to say I'm scheduled for a consultation with my urologist this month (Dr. Ramasamy, amazing urologist with extensive knowledge on Peyronie's) and after a year of consultations and doing all required testing and follow ups they have decided that an implant is the way to go they said adding length is unlikely but girth is very likely either way I'm very excited and optimistic about it. Just wanted to let you know that you're not alone in your situation my brother and there's a solution. Good luck!
