Title: Can peyronies cause nerve problems at a later date?
Post by: YoungOne on September 03, 2010, 08:04:51 PM
I have scar tissue in the upper third of my shaft/head.  This was caused from trauma during sex 15 months prior.  Had sex a few times recently for the first time since the accident and it took much longer to ejaculate.  After the last time, i had a big loss in feeling mostly on the upper part of the shaft.  This was 3 days ago.  Since then, i have developed a feeling of numbness throughout most of my body.

Just wondering what the consensus is on scar tissue causing neorological problems both in the genital region and the body as a whole.  Any help will be appreciated.

Have you had any trauma to your back or your prostate area?

I have some problems with feelings that I associate with prostate reduction surgery in 1994-95 (TURP) and then with my back that lead to back surgery in 2008.

Also some meds can cause problems with reduction in feeling and delayed or difficult ejaculation.

JackP,

The only trauma I can think of is sitting down 10 hours a day at work.  The numbness along the bottom of my shaft came about before the general numb feeling across my entire body.  Now that numbness is subsiding in my body i still have a weird loss of feeling down there.

What happened is I had intercourse on a sunday and masturbated monday and tuesday b/c i was self concsious that my inability to ejaculate in a  timely manner was from the scar tissue. On monday there was slight numbness and tuesday it was very, very numb.  This is sending me into a mental breakdown....could be causing the numbness over the body.

What I am really concerned about is the scar tissue possibily inflamed and damaged smaller nerves in my penis.  Is this how it works? If I never regain some of the feeling that is gone right now....it is going to make a curve seem like a walk in the park.

The numbness over the entire body is puzzling especially with the lack of any trauma. If it continues maybe you should see a Neurologist.

More than likely the numbness you are feeling is not from the peyronies. Sounds like you are obsessing over the delayed ejaculation by masturbating too much. But what is normal for me may not be normal for you.

You can still have an erection and ejaculate. What is a timely manner for you? I understand it is about 7 minutes for most men.

This is a puzzle.  ???

i had a good amount of foreplay and sex for about 45 minutes before i "took matters into my own hands".  I didn't think much about it until the girl was super self conscious that she couldn't make me ejaculate.

anyways, that is when i realized the scar tissue had caused me a loss of sensitivity that i had not previously noticed.  over the course of the last year i have worried so much about painful erections, scar tissue, and what the future holds that i had not even considered a loss of feeling.  anyways, it is frustrating....the feeling is coming back but it is still not the same.  i figure ill rest it a couple more weeks before seeing where i'm at.

being only 24 and having this issue is very taxing on the mind.  can not begin to imagine the problems i will have in 20 years. what i don't understand about the cases here is.....it seems to me that i have more scar tissue than most people on the forum but don't experience the ED issues or the severe curve issues.  i am wondering if i am at risk of losing complete function because the scar tissue is abundant at the upper third of my erect penis.

yeah anything affecting the function of our penis can be quite the issue.why do you believe you have more scarr tissue than most on the forum? Your body may be dealing with this issue you are going through and you might have to ride it out.

IF you don't have a bend or deformity do not let this consume you. It seems more and more young people are coming with pain issues and no bend.Pain can be related to many things not remotely relate to Peyronie's. As I have not experienced pain but a perfectly straight penis long and true. And then becomming deformed overnight.

Count your blessings and be strong take care of your body and maybe you will come out of this with no problem at all.Could just be a groin injury! Football players and athletes get em all the time.

How bad was the trauma you experienced 15 months ago? What happened? I imagine pretty bad since you just had sex for the first time recently. The numbness is definitely a nerve thing, I'm not sure if scar tissue can pinch a nerve though? The good news is, nerve can totally regenerate themselves and if your getting feeling back already then it can continue to get better for the next year.
