I'm 3 months out from surgery. It was successful and I am now straight for which I am very grateful. What I am wondering about is the numbness that still exists. I can get an erection although it is not as firm as before. I have had a couple of orgasms but have to work a lot harder to achieve. Last 3 episodes have not resulted with O.
Saw the doc yesterday and he said some of the numbness should go away but that it might not resolve 100%. He gave me a script for Cialis to see if it would help with firmness.
Just wondering what others have experienced, and if there is anything else I could try, other than to simply wait for more healing to occur (which may be the ticket). If this is the new normal I could live with it (I think) - my wife likes the much longer sessions. Thanks for any comments.
It took me a good 5 months for the numbness to go away. I also had pelvic floor therapy which helped a lot
Was it the daily cialis or the on demand one? watch out if you are going to have sex with a penis not being fully rigid!
TDix - how does pelvic floor therapy help with numbness?
Prfact - on demand. Oh yeah, I am careful
After surgery your pelvic muscles are in a constant state of tenseness as an involuntary reaction to trauma. Nerves need to heal and regenerate. Relaxing those muscles help blood flow and healing which in turn helps with your numbness
