Title: Xiaflex safe in the acute phase?
Post by: Shafted on October 21, 2019, 09:07:40 PM
I'm about 3 months into Peyronies Disease and my doctor put me on Cialis and is recommending Xiaflex as my curve is about 45 degrees.  I am concerned because it seems early and I worry about the possible side effects.  I've been using the Restorex device but have not had much improvement (if any).

My wife and I started trying to get pregnant around the onset of this awful disease.  My biggest fear is Xiaflex side effects will prevent us from having kids.

I am now on my forth cycle of Xiaflex  ( eight injections ) without any major side effect other than swelling and  bruises that sometimes spreads to my scrotum.  The hourglass and curvature has significantly fading away. I did see the pictures showing significant side effects but my Doctor told me to not worry about that and just follow his advice by the syllable, what i did it. I am 68 yo and I still have strong erections and I always experienced night erections,( I usually wake up four time during the night with erections that most of the time does not go down easily) what has been a great concern since the begin of my treatment taking in consideration that a strong erection  may cause rapture of the corpora yet fortunately that hasn't happened with me so far.  As far as I know, pumps devices can be very dangerous during the treatment with Xiaflex injection and I would not recommend it to anybody. Despite of been out of any major side effect up to the present moment  I have to confess that I am always scarred to get next injection done.
Good luck for you.
