Hello to all, My 1st post. I just got the new but suspected it since January 2017. Saw this upward bend and noticed before that I was no longer getting a morning erection. or any at all. Usually got those several times a day. But then nothing and a upward curve. I start my first Xiaflex injections on 7/17/17 luck numbers I hope.. Ive read and it seems to give good results. If anyone has any thing to add please send my way. Does Xiaflex work ? if it does... Does Peyronies Disease return ? Does masturbation cause this ? will I have to take Viagra after my treatments to have any type of an erection at all ? Ive got all kinds of questions. Thanks and I will keep everyone informed about my deal. Hope it helps.

Thanks

You'll soon learn by browsing the forum that there are no simple answers to your questions.  Causes, treatments, and results are largely unknown, and quite varied among the guys here.  But it's nice to have a place to honestly read and post about this strange, unexpected condition!

Curious since it sounds like your treatment is going straight to Xiaflex... was that ordered by a local urologist, and what kind of testing/exam was done to diagnose and indicate that treatment?  My Uro just did a 30 second physical exam, snapped his gloves off, and said I have Peyronies Disease.  Which I kinda expected from my pre-appointment Googling, but I guess I expected the "expert" to give me a little more context.  I was prescribed Verapamil topical cream, with my Uro saying that the ONLY other treatment is Xiaflex (which I don't think is entirely true based on info learned here) and it's very expensive + I don't qualify for coverage since I don't have more than 30 degrees curvature.

I'm thinking about seeking an appointment with Dr. Laurence Levine in Chicago (regarded here as an expert in the field of Peyronies Disease) for a second opinion.

For natural treatments, begin CoQ10 and traction. This disease is complex and as Sully said, basically ignored by doctors. Try to relax for now and do some research here on the forum. There is definitely hope and you should get some improvement with the therapies, supplements, or drugs (pentox). I do not recommend Xiaflex at all, unless your case is rather extreme and all other treatments have been exhausted.

Snake Diet + 5-day fasts + pentox + NeoV's stretching routine + Mito Red Light. Curvature 99% gone.

I also used Todd Capistrant's "Fascial Distortion Model" to help my curvature. Start slowly.

Wow wow wow.  I had Xilaflex yesterday and it was intense. Lots of swelling and bruising and much discomfort. Seems to be subsiding today. Met with Dr originally said Xilaflex was my best option and had about a 45 degree curve upwards. I thought more like 90 degrees. I have another injection next Tuesday then off for 6 weeks. I never heard of Pentox. Xilaflex covered under insurance plan. Dr. Is after $1500 deductible. So I'm in so far $500 just for injection into my penis. Ridiculous I think. I'm going to read about Pentox I don't know f I can go 4 rounds of Xilaflex .....

Try pentox before Xiaflex.

Yes I know technically it is a full quote but it is 5 words and I want them all.

Christopher1, I wouldn't jump to this recommendation before understanding his symptoms more. Pentox is not a replacement for Xiaflex. With his degree of curvature I would suggest pentox along with the injections.
