Hey all,

as promised and requested, I will log the treatment and any changes here:

Symptoms & Conditions:

• Started around March 2016
• Curvature right ~20°, up ~30°
• Palpable plaque 1/3rd from top, right side
• Erectile Dysfunction, worsened by Peyronie's. Uro suggests flow cut off due to scar tissue
• CPPS with hard flaccid

Additional treatments:

• VED and Traction (Phallosan forte) / alternating daily, weekends off
• CoQ10, Bromelain, ALCAR, Cialis 2.5mg daily
• Stretching exercises and massages for CPPS (seeing improvements already)

First treatment day

Cost of treatment is around 70€ per session. That adds up to 420€ for the first six treatments. There will be a waiting period after the first six sessions to watch for improvements. It should stimulate arterial branching, which will improve blood flow. Also, scar tissue is less flexible, so the shockwaves will "cling" to this more and maybe make it more flexible (no studies on this). Totally not comparable to that toothbrush method.

Session itself took around 10 minutes. Device settings 8 Hz with power (amplitude) starting at level 10 for testing, ramping up to 15 in the process. 3000 pulses from upper side of shaft, 2000 pulses from below, targeting the right side (Peyronie's location). Power level is useless to compare, unless same device is used.
It sounds similar to electronic lighters sparking (which is actually what this device does in reverse). There was some minor discomfort. Mostly local heating feeling (I suspect this is due to heat receptor nerves stimulated) and electric feeling, similar to a pulsed TENS treatment. When the head was angled towards bones and ligaments, I could feel it there (hip, groin, spine) and this was the most major source of discomfort (feels a bit like boney pain when growing up). Actually tells how far those waves travel and that they hit nerves deep inside.

Nothing to watch out for after the treatment. Some tingling was felt afterwards.

06/23/17
No side effects experienced the next day. VED felt actually better, as I was always experiencing some "arterial woes" when pumping. This was gone for today. I suspect maybe some kind of thrombosis breakup, which would be the only short term effect I can imagine and may be caused by diminished arterial inflow (similar to hemorrhoids).

Curvature unchanged
Erectile Dysfunction unchanged
Post erection pain: 1/10 (mild irritation / unchanged)

Can confirm VED works now at greater pressure with no pain whatsoever. Initial erection starting time seems a bit better (from full flaccid to 30%), though this may also be due to increased sports activity atm. Never skip leg day!
Dropping off the ALCAR for now.

Second treatment day
Treatment was a bit more painful today. Shockwaves hitting the hips is not funny. Other than that, no occurrences.

07/06/17
Third treatment day
Used a DIY foam separator for the treatment today. Hip pain was really better! Some local pain on treatment sites, but nothing out of the order. Doc is alternating sites every session, while still aiming at plaque sites. Waves seem to travel all the way, regardless of entry position.

07/09/17
Right side plaque feels a little bit smaller on the lower side? VED is completely painless now! Overall status of the tissues seems a bit more flexible.

07/24/17
Will receive the last treatment this Thursday. In the meantime I have had an erection starting while lying on my back (totally unthinkable before) and today a hard morning erection that lasted until going to the toilet. Had trouble sitting on the toilet due to the erection. This was the first time for months having this problem, so I'll see it as an improvement.
Vascular flow seems also improved, judging by how the veins present themselves.

I don't know if there is a word count limit to a single post, so I reserved space below the start post to extend the diary. That way it's easier for people checking this in a year or so to get the whole thing without scouting through the pages.

Sum up time:
ESWT helped me for pain in non acute plaques. It did not help for pain in active plaques, but I now finally got Pentox and it seems to work out for them.
So, if you have old plaques that hurt, you may consider ESWT.
For the EQ, I don't think it has helped much.

Addendum (and a bit offtopic, bear with me):
I feel like I'm overly obsessed about the condition as of now. As some of you read before, I'm having issues with CPPS and hard flaccid. It basically went into overdrive.
Burning while urinating, trouble passing urine, increased urinary frequency, golf ball feeling in the rectum, anismus, pain in the upper legs, lower back pain and panic attacks that were fed by the increase in symptoms. While I had these before, it was a tenfold increase of daily symptoms. What if there is an undetected infection? What if I do have a stricture? Prostate cancer?

I know I'm prone to catastrophic thinking, as this whole pain syndrome started early in my life and I was basically left on my own with it by medical professionals, parents and friends. And I think the big improvement here is detecting the vicious cycle, popping pain meds and breaking it.

There are no undetected infections. Bacteria and fungus go mad if they are left to replicate. Like in..."you gonna die fever" mad
A stricture that does cause pain only when there is LESS urine passing the urethra? Hell that should hurt when MUCH urine is coming out, not when trickling out. Also why does this change on a hourly basis and why do I don't have to push at all?
After all, everything on the internet is cancer. I'm getting an MRI some time in the future, so that will be excluded.


I feel like the main issue here is anxiety and tension leading to inflammation. This is also bad for Peyronie's. We don't want inflammation happening anywhere near our genitals. The red meatus problem is fairly common in people with CPPS, so we can see that there is physical change associated with tension and anxiety.
I'm finally getting physiotherapy for my pelvis. We'll see how that works out. I guess I have to do some internal release work on my own. I tried yesterday and my muscles were just really tight. As the naproxen faded off, I felt charley horse all over from down below my hips.

I will be leaving the forum for the time being to calm my mind. If anyone wants any information about something, just drop me a PM (I will get an e-mail notification). I feel like I'm prepared with VED and traction for therapy now.

I hope you will read my post.
In my opinion, you should solve the urinating problem, many other problem will disappear.
Don't run too fast with prostate cancer. I had for years urinary problems, like every 20 minutes run to empty a few drops.
In many cases the urinary problems are because the prostate is pushing the urethrae or some other not cancer related problems.
You must find a good urologist that will correctly diagnose you!!! 
Myself had a very successful prostate surgery in Belgium 3 years ago, the doctor cut from the prostate in the correct place, no nerves damaged, many health problems just disappeared after than. Urinating like an 18 year old
