I have a doubt, in many cases with peyronie it gets worse with the time, inducing more shortening and others problems, then I understand the shortening happened is not recoverable with the time or with an implant neither.
So my questions is What would be better with peyronie disease in the first years, wait while the shortening continues happening and maybe in the end need an implant, being impossible recovery the lost size or go for the implant while the shortening is little or minimun?

Hi ,
I have not found any valid research as to why they do not start treatment sooner rather than later. I also am still experiencing size loss after 18 months since onset.( 30-40% loss of girth and length) I have completed my third phase of Xiaflex with no change in my almost 90 degree bend.My urologist and specialist in Peyronie's for Southern California Kaiser has started a surgical discussion with me(implant).Intercourse has not been on my menu for over a year.My partner says she is okay with the limited sexual possibilities but I am not sure if I feel the same. When I have discussed this with my male friends the first question they ask is why not try active treatment sooner to prevent more size loss. The answer my urologist gives is that we have to work through the different treatment protocalls with surgery being last.My urologist says she is doing fewer surgeries because oral treatments along with Xiaflex injections have given many of her patients enough improvement to avoid surgical proceedures.

Hello,

I have the same dilemma - wait with the implant or not? I'm afraid!
By the implant and so lose a minimum of 1.5 cm, and I have already lost 3cm by the Peyronies Disease.

Wladyslaw have you ED?
I am thinking i will have to go for the implant because even my peyronie could be solved with the time I will always have venous leak and it wont be healed probably. I understand other people with peyronie but without ED dont choose the implant option but with venous leak.. Is there another option? Why wait? Does that make sense?
What are your thoughts about this wladyslaw?

Hello,
I have ED, but I do not know why.
It seems to me that I first had ED, then Peyronies Disease.
The first problems with erection started about a year ago. I changed my job and thought it was related to stress, and libido fell on me.
Today, it seems to me that my health problems (dry, thin and tense skin, circulation problems, high LDL cholesterol, severe ED and Peyronies Disease) are caused by long-term use of L-Arginine.
Yesterday I got an ANA positive result. ANA are nuclear antibodies.
Positive results with high probability of autoimmune disease. Waiting for more accurate results or ANAII.
I was speaking on the phone today with Professor Barbara Darewicz - one of the best specialists in urology (including implants and Peyronies Disease).
She said that I am still too young for an implant (I am 39 years old), so the more I do not know what to do? I sent her an email with my results and penis pictures. I hope to get acquainted with this and suggest something to me.

Wladyslaw if you need an implant then go for it, take your time to value it but if you need it do not hesitate, the age is not a problem for the implant if you cant work with pills or injections or you dont want injections or a Vacum, then implant is the only solution, and if peyronie goes worse it is a risk, that is my fear.
There is many people in your age or even younger than you who have an implant you can read them in FT or even here(look the merrix´s post he is about your age and he was for the implant, he is very happy or richardthefrog) someone for peyronie others with venous leak or both. The most important if you choose the implant way is find a very good doctor in this with a lot of experience.

From Wladyslaw:
Quote...She said that I am still too young for an implant (I am 39 years old)...
Wrong. I know people that had an implant at 19.
You may want to checkout FT
They have a board dedicated to implants
It is a forum dedicated to ED.

sort your probable autoimmune diease out first. you might fix your ED without the need for an implant, don't jump the gun

there is no surgery method could do anything about ED. In ED cases (if it is not caused by stress and mental causes) implant seems to be the only solution.
find following chart hope helps you.
