Newly Diagnosed - Is Traction Good For Me?

Hello

I was diagnosed with Peyronies less than 24 hours ago by my GP. This was less than a week after my first symptoms so I am happy it was a quick diagnoses, if not thrilled with the diagnoses itself.

My GP apparently has experience with Peyronies and got me on Cialis + Pentox right away. He also recommended L-Arginine. He says he's had success treating Peyronies, but felt I did not need to see a Urologist yet. Aside from not giving a uro referral I am pleased he was so on to of it.

My symptoms are an hourglass shape when getting erect (though this only appeared a couple of times last weekend and since gone), a rubbery/firm flaccid (softer at the base) and a 10% upward (dorsal?) curve starting about midway up when I am erect. Also some mild pain when flaccid, but I am not sure how much this is anxiety.

Anyways, I am wondering if traction is something I should start immediately? Or would VED be suitable for where I am at? Wearing a traction device up to 8 hours a day seems like no picnic, but I think doable with my desk job. Also, are there any risks with traction? My curve is not bothersome at the moment, so if traction even just stops it I would be happy, but if there's a risk of making things worse I might look at other options.

Thanks in advance for your responses. I've already found this community very helpful.

I expect this will be moved, but welcome anyway.

Your doctor is more clued up than most. There's nothing much more a Uro can do at this stage apart from confirm the diagnosis, by Doppler ultrasound if you feel you'd like a second opinion.

Pentox plus low dose Cialis is what would mostly be recommended here. To the Arginine - or investigate Citrulline Malate as a possibly better alternative - I would add ALC and CoQ10 or Ubiquinol.

At this stage, as your curvature is currently minimal, I'd go with VED. Use carefully, never over pump and follow the protocols here on the site.
