Temporarily more curved

Pressure

Hello people.

I was wondering if anyone noticed their curvature slightly more pronounced and more curved for a period of 1-2 hours after sex or masturbation?

I always get it.

(Thanks to Old Man who I asked this as part of a question, but I'm intrigued if others get this problem too)

Very common and you need to avoid it at all costs. I had this when I was 17 or younger and it developed into full Peyronie's. The old theory was that after sex the scars would tighten up like a rubber band contracting, but I completely disagree with this. It makes very little sense to me. I think it's much more likely that the pronounced bend is due to hematomas in the injury / scar areas and the tissue becoming blocked off from blood flow. This is the beginning of hypoxia and further fibrosis.

I prevent it by taking my time during masturbation or sex. Your penis must fully fill out and do not clench your PC muscles at all. I rarely get it anymore since learning how to masturbate properly, but when I do get it, traction removes it would thin 10 minutes. Traction pulls open these areas to allow the blood to get out.

I used to have this so bad that my penis would twist 360 degrees.

If anyone has a better idea what it is, please discuss, but I absolutely 100% think it's very dangerous and causes the disease progression.

Very intelligent response, most interesting. Your theory does seem quite accurate.

I wonder how many on here have had it with Peyronie's, and their curvature got worse, I've started a poll to find out. Though you say you only developed Peyronie's from this issue, my dick was bent partial erect and that was the sole reason.

My curvature is 30 degrees (erect) and after sex/masturbation, in flaccid the curvature looks to give 40 degrees on erection.

I don't think the erection is temporarily affected? I have not attempted this.

My PC muscles, hadn't really heard of this muscle, not sure how to not strain them?

I've tried masturbating for only 12 mins, not harsh action, and that was after waiting 2 and a half weeks from last sex/masturbation, I still get the temporary worsened curve. And have done for at least 6 months without fail.

I didn't use lube during sex/masturbation, I gather I should now.
I might give my dick a rest for two weeks, then try light masturbation for 5 minutes with lube.

(Old Man told me, you were the expert on penile lymphoceles, after I asked him if I should worry about them, hopefully they are not a factor here?)

This should be a good discussion, thank you NeoV.

Was wondering if anyone also notices themselves temporarily more curved after urinating, especially when straining hard to void?

Also noticed another strange thing, when I have lower abdominal pain, including spermatic cord pain, I notice I am prone to hourglassing on my plaque. I never get hourglassing any other time. Intriguing?

Depending on where the scar sits it can influence a lot of other tissue, nerves veins etc.

Try to observe under which circumstances it does not happen(for example what happens if you warm up the area?)

The temporarily more curved condition after masturbation happens even if I warm up the area.

Do you think irritated/scarred veins can turn into fibrosis/plaques?

I guess your peyronies plaque sits at some point that influences this condition. It might press onto a vein or something that is related to erections.
Same with hourglass it probably pushes on something that causes the abdominal.

You might also check if your pelvic floor is relaxed. (If not research reverse kegels and Pelvic floor relaxation)

Warming up the area never prevented post ejaculatory bending. For me I really just need to take a very long time, not clench AT ALL, and be very gentle. Focus on doing what makes your penis harder and don't stimulate yourself if it makes you less hard.

Pressure

Interesting NeoV that masturbating for longer gives you a better result than for a short session.

Just had a good idea to remedy the temporarily more curved condition and possibly to prevent further penile damage.

Take an extra pentoxifylline 400mg immediately before or after ejaculation, to prevent the hematomas from forming.

While I am erect I have an upward curve, but then I have a distinct leftward curve after masturbating of about 20-30 degrees. It doesn't come on right away, but while my penis is "deflating" post-orgasm.

I have noticed that doing reverse kegels while this happens seems to almost completely straighten out my penis and also ensures it drains more consistently (the top half of the shaft drains faster, while thickness below remains).

I have always had a slight left curve when flaccid and sometimes when getting erect I bend that way too. Maybe I've always been like this, but does this suggest I may develop a leftward erect curve at some point?

Pressure

Toronto34, very interesting, I have been getting the temporarily more curved thing after ejaculation for roughly 6-8 months, but may be longer. How long have you had it?

Hopefully it won't make our Peyronie's plaques worse/develop new plaques, though I don't know as much as NeoV on this issue.

I tried about 12 reverse kegels after last ejaculation, maybe I didn't hold long enough, but it didn't help the temporarily more curved issue, which incidentally is about 20-30 degrees to the left like yours is too. (Usual flaccid is about 15-20 degrees to the left) I may try doing reverse kegels very soon after ejaculation, I think you're on to something with this technique.

One thing to consider from personal experience: If the affected side is shortened, it will stretch the healthy side more during erections. The measured length of the right side will be longer, if your Peyronie's is on the left. Maybe this leads to a more pronounced curvature, as healthy tissue is more flexible and takes time to go back to normal?

Especially with Cialis erections, I can feel stretching pain in the opposite part of my shaft, as regular erections are usually more confined by the scar tissue, whereas Cialis ones will stretch everything to the max.

Hi Pressure,

I have no idea how long I've had it. Maybe I've always had it and the Peyronies has just made me hyper aware of things? It's hard to say.

I said up to 30 degrees but I realize that's an exaggeration. When I first noticed I got freaked out and I thought it's worse than it was. It's more like 15-20 degrees at most and only lasts a couple minutes. I try not to worry about benign symptoms like that unless they indicate possible future problems.

My Pelvic Floor Physio has said it's good to do reverse kegels and massage the perineum after sex/masturbation, so that's why I was do it and how I noticed the straightening. I was standing in front of the mirror while doing it too, which isn't even the best position for reverse kegels.

Why reverse kegels are good?? I cant see the reason to do reverse kegels. It seems a pseudoscience for me

Toronto34

Reverse kegels are good for relaxing tight pelvic floor muscles. It's not pseudoscience, it's recommended by most pelvic floor therapists, but I doubt it does much for Peyronies unless you have CPPS and feel like that is contributing to your Peyronies.

I do reverse kegels post-orgasm because I (like most men) clench my pelvic floor during sex/masturbation so these get tight. This is basically kegeling and can lead to further complications with the pelvic floor, thus I do the reverse kegels to keep things loose. I then noticed it seemed to reduce that post-ejaculate curve while I was doing them but that's not why I do them.

Pressure

Well after my last 2 ejaculations, I have done 100 reverse kegels over a 20 minute period from 2 minutes after ejaculation and it does seem to make the temporarily more curved state (in flaccid) resolve significantly quicker, (within an hour, compared with 2 and a half hours previously).

Does anyone think doing 100 reverse kegels post ejaculation is too many?

Thanks for any more help/comments.

That's great pressure! I can't really say.. reverse kegels is more about relaxing the muscles, so I can't imagine it's bad, just don't do it forcibly.

I used to squat in the shower and reverse kegel for 30 minutes very slowly after masturbation or sex. This was one of the few things that would remove the post-ejaculatory bending along with traction. Dark times! but I still do it occasionally.

Pressure

Thanks NeoV for that response.

Hopefully the hematoma leading to hypoxia explanation you gave is the worst case scenario, I'm hoping each time, its just the blood circulation is 20% worse than usual, near the plaque.
