Hello everyone,

My name is Joseph and im 26 years old. Im not exactly new to this forum as I have been scanning and reading many posts since my first run in with Peyronie's about 3 months ago. However, this is my first posting. To anyone who is reading this, thank you. Basically, I need advice on what to do. I tried taking this into my own hands but I am left back to square one.

So, it seems as though I was hit with Peyronie's overnight. One day I was functioning normally, and the next I started noticing a dent on the left side of my erect penis. A week later the dent became more noticeable and then shortly after an up curve made its way into the equation. The up curve seems to have only been getting worse and worse as time has gone on. Im fearful that the dent in the left side will lead to my penis curving to the left as well.

I went to a urologist (I already had one to go to from a previous situation) and it was a very short conversation. I explained what was happening and was answered with "Yes that sounds like Peyronie's. There isnt much we can do that isnt surgery. You're young, try not to think about it". After reading a lot of posts on this forum, I made a checklist of possible ways I can fix this (without surgery):
- Vitamin E
- Testosterone (Clomid)
- Pentox
- potassium aminobenzoate (Potaba)
- VED
- Low dosage of Cialis

I am currently on Vitamin E, so check that off.
I dont believe I have low testosterone since I workout a lot (6 days a week) and I have good energy throughout the day (I think).
Apparently this Pentox is pretty good but I need a prescription so I havent gotten to try yet.
I have heard mixed reviews about Potaba, since it is apparently very hard to bare the routine.
I am very interested in this VED option since it seems logical and easier to make routine.
I have mixed thoughts about Cialis since I, even after reading these posts, dont quite understands its purpose.

Basically, I dont know where to go from here. Being only about 3-4 months into this, should I just wait and see where it goes? Should I go the VED route and follow a routine iv read on this forum? If so, what brand and model VED should I purchase? Do I need a urologist to obtain this Pentox or can regular physicians prescribe this? I dont even know how to locate someone who will know/care about my condition.

Thank you again for taking the time to read this. I appreciate, and look forward to, your responses.

Im sorry for the long post!

Paolo

Hi Joey11,
I would ditch Potaba and use Pentox, I believe though you have to start Pentox slowly as otherwise symptoms can be light headedness, dizzy etc........they are both blood thinners I believe.

Clomid is for hypogonadism, symptoms are;
Erectile dysfunction
Decrease in body hair growth
Decrease in muscle mass
Fatigue
Low libido
Trouble with concentration
Hot flashes

IMHO i don't think you need Clomid, see site www.peaktestosterone.com and use search function for more on Clomid

IMHO you should be taking Acetyl L-Carnitine 2000-3000mg and also L-Citrulline (I buy it in powder form) as it is much cheaper than pills and take 5-15 grams per day, it naturally thins the blood via L-Arginine conversion in the body to produce Nitric Oxide

Tadalafil, known under the brand name Cialis for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and Adcirca for pulmonary arterial hypertension, is a PDE5 inhibitor. Its main competitors are sildenafil citrate (Viagra) and vardenafil (Levitra).

Unless you have erectile dysfunction (can be physical or psychological) don't think you need Cialis, I believe you can get dependent on it  :-\

Do more reading before deciding what's best for you, don't get hooked on mega supplementation though as that road will lead you to madness, and an empty wallet!!

Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

I do believe the routine your considering is not unreasonable. I'm using this routine and drugs. I will say cialis is more then just for ED. Low dose creates better and more consistent blood flow. It is used primarily for ed but part of what it does is help the penis fill with blood. Makes sense. And with a dented and bent dick the last thing I'm worried about at this point is dependency on cialis. Not ever heard that.

Just throwing in my 2 cents here as a long term (over ten years) cialis user. One cannot develop a physical dependency on cialis, there's no need to worry about that. :)

Also there was a small study done on Cialis that showed a complete resolution of septal scarring following daily 2.5mg for 6 months - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21324095
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

good information skunkworks -  thanks.  still have palpable plaque, but the plaque no longer shows up on ultrasound. perhaps my low grade daily dose of cialis is the reason.

Thank you for the input everyone.

I am really considering adding in Cialis into my routine now. It seems as though it has really helped some of you out there. Between that and the Pentox, do you know if they interact with each other at all? Am I able to take both at the same time safely?

Also, if any of you have recommendations on VED that would be great. I am currently getting some great PM advice from someone, but any other input is always welcome. I am mostly confused on cylinder size and why certain models are better than the other.

Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

Joey, also find a URO your trust. I've seen a few in the GTA area if you live in the GTA let me know. I didnt find that supplements helped. I was on Pentox for 9 months then my URO took me off it saying that any benefit would be felt by now. I only use VED and try to exercise until I wait for my surgery and I honestly feel the same to a little better than when I was taking a handful of pills daily.

Pain Free my friend...

Yes, you can. For me at least they do interact however...Pentox seems to increase the potency of cialis.i.e. better quality erections than just cialis on its own.

Cialis, Pentox and vasodilating supplements such as l-arginine all lower blood pressure. If you get dizzy a lot when you stand up from sitting down, or otherwise, it probably means you should cut one out or lower doses, otherwise it's pretty safe. Take care if you already suffer from low blood pressure.

I have been taking both together without reaction. I say go for it!

As a man on testosterone myself, I'd suggest you don't bother unless you know it's low. You can get it checked out but it won't prevent scar tissue or anything. It could only increase libido and erections, but only if that's already a problem in the first place. And I dislime clomid. It's not that good for the liver I think and it gave me horrible floaters and when stressed out they can increase my depression and anxiety by a lot. Long term clomid wouldn't be good I think and most people feel horrible on it even though it boosts testosterone.
Age: 25
Date of onset: 17
Symptoms: sharp pains, numbness, change in shape/size, hourglassing and discolaration from jelqing/VED usage as a teen. Diagnosed with a venous leak and possible scarring.
Treatments tried: cialis, pentox and VED didnt help

For me I do have low testosterone and have for many years. 200 milligrams a month just wasn't cutting it and my uro doc didn't like the sudden peak and then drop off for the remainder of the month. He is also very aggressive particularly in middle-aged men giving larger doses of testosterone to get your levels higher than middle or low normal range, he likes your levels to be in the higher range of normal. Also the testosterone encourages the erections more easily and the better blood flow is certainly going to help with the healing situation. My opinion
