Hey guys, I'm 25 years old and 3 months into this ordeal. It started with an injury during intercourse, no audible pop, no loss of erection, managed to finish, but there was a bending during re entry. Soreness soon followed the next day to which I responded with ice packs, no bruising though or swelling but some minor inflammation. Continued having sex over the next few weeks (stupid mistake) as the soreness got worse, mostly after sex/masturbation, until I started searching the net for some guidance and found this forum. After having my eyes opened to the possibility of Peyronies, I finally I made an appointment with a urologist.

The appointment was brief, no ultrasound, no scripts. All I got was, "Yeah, you might develope Peronist. Just take a multi and check back in a year, that's when we'll be able to tell for sure." I asked about Pentox, he laughed and said there's no proven cure. Asked about abstinence, he said he sees it as more of a use it or lose it situation. He acted as though I wasting his time at this point and clearly I wasn't going to get any answers here. I felt totally dismissed.

As a few weeks went by, my prostate began to burn and feel swollen and I developed all of the tell tale symptoms of chronic prostatitis (pain after ejaculating, swollen prostate, burning after urination, constant feeling of the need to pee) I was prescribed antibiotics, but all tests confirmed it was non bacterial. I didn't take these after reading horror stories about drugs like cypro exacerbating Peyronies.

The bending started in the flaccid state only, then just in the last few weeks has progressed to slight hourglassing and minimal bend of the shaft. Erections which gave me no trouble in the beginning have now become painful, which has given me quite a bit of anxiety. No noticeable plaques or loss of size yet, though some loss of girth at the base as well as spider veins appearing. However, the biggest thing I do notice is a hard, cord-like string that runs vertically the length of my penis to the right of the dorsal vein (the side my curve happens to be on). It is present even when flaccid and throbs when erect. I believe it is the source of the pain I am feeling. I have no idea if this is a thrombosis vien, lymph channel, or what.

Currently I am minimizing sex to once maybe twice a week because of the pain (which I should've done in the beginning and probably further damaged my penis by continuing to have sex and masturbate) I am seeking chiropractic and physical therapy to rule out pelvic floor muscles contributing to the prostatitis, I will also be changing my diet to the anti-inflammatory/slow carb diet as well as following the other tips listed in the beginner section. Currently taking CoQ-10, aceyl L carnatine, and pycnogenol. Also considering evening primrose as there's some evidence it improves prostaglandin e1 and softens plaques as well as Arginine or Citrulline, not sure which yet.

A few questions:

1.) What's the hard, painful, throbbing cord-like thing running the length of my penis, from the base to the shaft, to the right of the superficial dorsal vein whether flaccid or erect and what should I do about it?
2.) Should I find another urologist and push for an ultrasound and preemptively try to get on Pentox or is it too soon to detect plaques via ultrasound and do the possible side effects of pentox outweigh the benefits, considering i don't have a confirmed Peyronies diagnosis yet?
3.) At this point (three months in and just starting to bend) will abstinence help me heal or make it worse due to lack of erections?

I really don't know where to go from here and need some guidance. Also, I just want to say I'm so grateful I found this forum, I can't imagine going through this alone. I know I'm lucky as this is only a mild case compared to some cases that guys on here are dealing with, I cant even imagine what that's like and have immense respect for how you all are dealing with it. But that fact also gives me anxiety about my own future. Funny how something you didn't even know about a few months ago can hit you out of no where and practically take over your life, fueling each day with worry. I know this is only the beginning of a long road, but I'm thankful to have found a community of people out there supporting each other. I look forward to hearing from you guys and thanks in advance for any advice.

Riskybiscuit, I have found saw palmetto and olive leaf extract useful for prostate health, the added boost from olive leaf is that my skin is looking better.

Also reverse kegels are good for pelvic floor muscles, normal kegels IMO are bad.

I take MSM powder 2-4G per day, not exactly sure what it is doing but feel better for taking it anyhow, it helps with joint pain issues and is very safe.

I hope your condition improves and good luck  :)
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.

Welcome to the forums : )

See a specialist and get an ultrasound to find out exactly what that cord is. It may be vascular damage, or it may scarring, but both tend to come together, so they should be treated much the same, at least while in the active phase. I tend to find complete rest the best for the penis in the beginning, but see if it works for you or not. Avoid porn completely and have sex only once or twice a week sounds fine. HOWEVER, if that is a vein that's throbbing, you should not even think about using your penis in my opinion. Healing from mondors or lymphatic damage takes a very very long time. It took me a few years of on and off resting.

Drink a lot of water and give that prostate a rest. Try not to check your erections. Your new diet and supplements all sound good!

NeoV - Are you cured today? You said it took a few years of rest in your case.
