A great question. I myself am afraid of Cialis and those drugs but I probably shouldn't be. I just don't want to be blind when I'm older!

The only side effect I've found so far is frequent boners! But I understand your concern about building a tolerance to the drug. I used to really worry about that too and did feel I built up a tolerance to some degree with Viagra. In other words, after a month or two of 25mg for sex, it didn't seem to be working as well, so I went up to 50mg, etc. That's building tolerance (or was it just in my head because I worried about it? Good question.)

At any rate, I've since switched to daily Cialis (actually I only take 5mg every couple or three days) and I find it to be much more convenient than Viagra or Levitra given that you don't really think about it (timing-wise) since you took it the night before. It's like taking any other daily pill. I haven't seen any tolerance issues with it, and I've been using for a year or two. Still works just as good. There's even a school of thought that it might bear benefits beyond taking (as in stopping it altogether) as the many good, strong erections you've had while taking it help vascularize the penis and make it "work better." Just a theory.

Given Cialis's supposed anti-fibrotic action and usefulness in promoting blood flow and tissue expansion in the penis, I think it's too good of a tool to ignore based on fear of a tolerance that likely won't even happen. And even if it does, you stop taking it and allow the body to reset itself over a period of time - it's not the end of the world.

PS - actually, Thelonelywolf, I see you're in Saudi Arabia. I'll be moving there next month. Do you have any problem getting Cialis, and does it require a prescription? - Nemo
51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

Does anyone have an answer to the potential blindness these drugs can cause? Extremely rare, just a coincidence? I've never come to a good understanding of that.

I've been using Cialis regularly for close to 10 years. The only side effects I've experienced were a runny nose and headaches - and this was only at the beginning.

To the best of my knowledge one cannot build up a physical tolerance to cialis. If you find it beginning to be less effective it's either psychological or your ED has become more severe.

I'm currently on a 10mg a day prescription. The UK NHS is preoccupied with watching its own back. If there was a serious chance of blindness I doubt I'd be given the prescription. If I remember correctly you can potentially experience impaired vision temporarily. I never have.

In my opinion, the only problem you can have with Cialis, Viagra etc' is that is reducing the blood pressure and the consequenses.
One should monitor his blood pressure at least at the beginning of the treatment for a while

In my opinion no the benefits out way the very slim side effects. you can try to go on the daily 2.5 if your blood flow to your penis is fine.

I take 5mg every 3 days. I have been doing this for 8 years and it is just as effective today as it was 8 years ago.
