Hey, I'm 30, single from Australia, and was diagnosed a week ago by a urologist after noticing a 'notch' missing from my erection. It happened literally over night. No pain. No curve.
After speaking with the urologist he confirmed that I had Peyronies after doing a scan and showing the plaques. He said they were quite hard. I became pretty depressed as he said there wasn't a lot I could do and recommended I just sit it out to see if it gets worse as I was in the acute phase. He did mentioned injections and Vit E but didn't really speak highly of them so didn't gain much confidence from that.

Anyway, after reading posts from this forum I have decided to take matters into my own hands with some coQ10, acetyl l carnitine and L arginine. I just ordered a VED online and I will probably go to my docter to see if he will prescribe me Pentox as well. This Forum for now, has made me feel a little more positive, which is nice. So thank you to everyone who has made the effort to post.

Hopefully, I can limit any progression of this annoying disease. Any comments or suggestions welcome :)

Optimus, I am glad you found us and that we are giving you a better attitude about this. I am going to suggest you find a new urologist that specializes in Peyronies we have a list in the forum which I will send you in PM. I am glad you haven't chosen the wait and see method and have been proactive in this, it will only benefit you in the long run. Be looking for my PM.

Welcome!!

Optimus,

If your URO continues to take a wait approach, fire him and find somebody that specializes in Peyronies. Do not over pump on the VED. Consult Old Man for sage advice on the use of a VED. As far as injections go, Xiaflex is the "Gold Standard". I will be completing the second cycle tomorrow. My URO said people with calcified plaque don't have as good a result as those without calcified plaque. I don't know how long it takes for plaque to calcifies, but I would check and see if Xiaflex is an option. Knowing what I know now, I would have started Xiaflex last year when all this started rather than go through a year and a half you name it.

Thanks.

In regards to the list of specialists, these have obviously been verified? Researching the doctors in the list provides very little information and nothing is mentioned about them even being Urologists, let alone urologists that specialise in Peyronies?
