Hi everyone, about 4 months ago at the age of 49 and completely out of the blue, with no explanation discovered a approx. 30 degree left curve to my penis. Shocked and bemused looked up curved penis online and then discovered a disease i had never heard of . Lived with it for a while and eventually went to my doc who sent me to a urologist to take a look. He was very matter of fact, saying its quite common, not too badly deformed and i should wait for a further 6 months for next appointment. He found no plaque and i have no pain during an erection, but i can feel a pulling. In the meantime, have tried to forget about it and hope it would go away ! Day to day , i suppose doesnt affect my daily life except when i think about it and then i start freaking out and wondering why it happened to me. I am currently single and avoid women as i am worried what would happen in an intimate situation . I feel lonely and hopeless and getting quite depressed if i am honest. Not happy so far and hope it doesnt get worse, but from what i read on here, sounds like trouble ahead. Thats about it really...

You are among friends. Same story as many of us. There is information in the following link to help you get started. Don't sit back and do nothing. You will soon find that many urologists do not know how to treat this.

I sorry to hear about your problem.. Did you ask the doc about traction because 30 degrees isn't reall bad. I'm dealing with 75 but none the less I would definitely stay on top of it before it has a chance to progress. Good Luck

Well, the doc didn't seem too bothered and when I asked him about treatment , he said that nothing should be done unless things worsened. I would like to get a second opinion and read somewhere on here that there is a section with a list of good docs. I would like to be pro active and act quickly if possible. Where would I find a good doc ?

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

If you do not have any adhesions and do not sense anything harder with your finger at the bend so a cure with iodine/DMSO does not help you. But it is better not to wait until the adhesions become because I already fight with them a year but with success.

Per my uro (levine) if you do nothing there's about a 50 % chance it will get worse. If you cannot get pentox (and even if you can) there are lists of supplements on this site that could still potentially help. Also, you should probably look into traction and/or VED. Good luck.

For sure start doing something now. Don't wait.

Sorry to hear about your problem bud... I just had surgery for a 70 degree curve to the right that I lived with most of my life. Theres a lot more information now than there was 20 years ago that can help you reverse you condition if you are proactive as you say you are. I would definitely start some kind of treatment asap. Traction and oral meds before matters worsen. Good luck . UB
