Hello everyone, I am a 21 year old man and I have recently found out I have aquired hypogonadism from the use of minoxidil 5% foam. It has been 4 months since using the poison and I still have no morning or nocturnal erections. I noticed the newfound curvature immediately after I got off the minoxidil.

So basically it's been 4 months since I found out I have the curvature, I went to a urologist, he examined my penis and told me there was no sign of fibrosis or scar tissue. I then went to get an ultrasound and there was still no sign of scar tissue or fibrosis or plaque whatsoever.... I have a slight indentation at the base of my penis on the left side, when I get an erection my penis curves more from the base than it used to and slightly to the left...

I never used to have this curve from the base, and when I get an erection it feels more constricted at the base than before, and not as mobile as before. I am having nightmares everyday about this because I don't know how to treat this before it progresses, because there is no scar tissue or any sign of plaque, I don't know how to treat this.

Please I beg of anyone to help me, what do I do? Should I get a traction device? I don't know what to do and no one has given any advice.

I haven't been getting any morning or nocturnal erections but I can achieve erections. My hormones are messed up and I know that they're to blame for this situation. Please I beg someone help me, I know this is peyronies.

Joshy22, Are you taking any supplements to increase blood flow to your pelvic area?

If you comfortable enough why not send an photo which will surely initiate further replies with members on forum

I wish you all the best  :)

Joshy;

Yes, I would try traction. The general consensus seems to be either the penismaster or the Phallosan. Personally, I have the Phallosan as it's what my urologist recommended.

Re your hypogonadism. It means that your not producing anywhere near the amount of testosterone that a young man your age should do. Have you spoken to your Urologist about some form of HRT? Low testosterone has been linked to Peyronies.

Were you taking minoxidil for health reasons, or for hair loss?.

Hey bro, thank you for your reply. I'm currently only taking l-arginine and l-citrulline with vitamin E. I'm going to buy a lot of test boosting herbs and supplements which should hopefully give my system a jump start. Considering I no longer get morning/nocturnal erections, I feel this could make matters worse.

Here is the current state of everything:

I have noticed 1-3 small bumps on the penis, 1 on the side on the left, 1 slightly near the base in the middle of the top and 1 perhaps on the right side near the base also. Not sure what to make of this all

Yea bro, I got my bloodwork done and my testosterone isn't low enough to be giving me hypogonadism type symptoms, so I think there is another issue, I must have other hormones out of balance. I think I have PFS aka post finastride syndrome from minoxidil, all my symptoms are exactly the same. I'm seeing a uro who specializes in peyronies in 2 weeks, I will update you all on what he says. I have yet to be professionally diagnosed of peyronies yet,  but I fit the description of all the symptoms. And, yes I was using minoxidil for hair loss.

so fellas, what sort of route should I take? are drugs really obligatory to fix this problem, or I can fix this with stretching alone? should i take pentox, what do you guys reccomend after seeing the state of my member?

Paolo

Joshy22,
Thanks for sending pics, your curve seems quite even in that you don't appear to have a sharp bend.

I am 54 Years old and have peyronie's now for 3-4 Years.

I don't have any experience using traction but suggest the following supplements;

Acetyl L Carnitine is recommended for Peyronie's, I buy it with Alpha Lipoic Acid included, taken internally, alpha lipoic acid is a water- and fat-soluble antioxidant that is capable of regenerating other antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E. It is also believed to exert numerous soothing effects on skin condition.

Apple cider vinegar helps raise the body's pH levels which decreases acidosis, a major factor in pain management, it is relatively inexpensive and may be worth a shot (always dilute with water before drinking), it would also be good for you also to make sure it is raw unpasteurised ACV

Acetyl L Carnitine (with Alpha Lipoic Acid) helps with penis curvature, well it appears to be helping me.

Magnesium Glycinate/Lysinate 200-400mg a day, this will help for pain as Magnesium is a muscle relaxant, you can also get a magnesium spray that you rub into your skin and is absorbed easily by transdermal means.

If your sleep is suffering try a supplement called 5-HTP, is a precursor to serotonin and melatonin, it helps you fall asleep, by making blood serotonin levels much, much higher than brain levels. 5-HTP also helps with anxiety and depression.

Getting a good nights sleep is very important.

Do you massage your penis?
You can buy 'cold pressed' castor oil from health stores, castor oil has the benefit of transdermal absorption and use it overnight whilst sleeping, wear old shorts or pyjamas as it will stain your clothing and bedding otherwise, then simply shower off next morning.

Try the castor oil firstly but emu oil may also help, it has essential fatty acids in it.

Never ever try to straighten your penis when erect, flaccid stretching however is usually, with massage beneficial, the golden rule however is if it hurts stop!
If you masturbate (who doesn't) always use a lubricant and take your time reaching orgasm (concentrate on your breathing) as otherwise if stressed or anxious that can lead to ED.

Hopefully other members will advise on traction.

I wish you the best remembering that Peyronie's is a marathon, not a race.

PLEASE DO NOT DUPLICATE ENTIRE QUOTES. IT TAKES UP TOO MUCH SPACE.

Thank you so much for your response and advice bro, I am applying all your advice and buying all the supplements you recommended, honestly thank you so much. I now avoid masturbating with a full grip and just stimulate areas that are not near the lumps/fibrosis

Paolo

Joshy22, no problem, glad to help.
I sometimes use a device called fleshlight with lubricant when masturbating as it minimises uneven pressure that your hand could possibly apply, however if you prefer your hand then no problem just take your time and controlled breathing.

See how you get on with supplements and pain management before traction route as from the images your sent your penis looks almost a static congenital curve, which I now you think otherwise.

If you do go down the traction route then please share your findings  :)

Thank you bro, yes it doesn't seem too abnormal at the moment, however it never curved to the left like that. It used to stand straight up symmetrically and I have loss flaccid girth which I'm afraid may translate to my erections sooner or later.... Should I look into daily cialis/viagra considering I don't have morning/nocturnal erections regularly? I'm very worried about not getting enough blood flow causing more penile shrinkage? I am very concerned

Josh,
You can't get "post finasteride syndrome" from minoxidil. These are completely different medications. Finasteride works to stop hair loss at a hormonal level, and will indeed screw people up. Erectile dysfunction is listed as one of the side effects by the manufacturers. But minoxidil is just a vasodilator, it doesn't have a hormonal effect. So it is very unlikely it caused your issues......though I'm no doctor.

So you had the slight upward curve before, and only the curve to the left is new.... correct?
