Hello,  I' m 37, from Greece. I have a small 15-20* curvature towards the left side since I was a small kid, which was never a problem to my sexual life.

Two years ago I noticed a strange and quite small hourglass effect on my penis, a little above the middle, on the right side (opposite side of my natural small curve). I had no pain or anything else... I went immediatelly to see a doctor. After he cause a technical errection, he examined me with ultrasound and he told me that I was lucky because there is a plaque, but really small, which might had been caused by an accident during sex. He asked me If I had exprerienced any pain and I told him no. He told me to start vitamin E (500gm), cialis 2.5mg (daily) and the VED device ten minutes everyday for 3 months. After the 3 months passed the situation was worse. The "gap" was bigger when I was errected, and while flaccid a could sense a small "pea" on the spot of the plaque. My penis also had started to curve towards the right side, on the opposite side of where my natural small curve is. Imagine that my penis was looking kinda of straight now, but with the hourglass effect there... He examined me again (ultrasound) and he told me that is a peyronie and that I should continue the same treatment, but now I had to add another medicine called (Ι think, I dont remember well) Nolvadex for another 3 months. After sometime the "curvature" started to be reduced, but my penis went thinner from where the plaque is and above. I mean 2/3 of my penis was normal and the upper part thinner... I also lost about 1-2cm of lenght... (I never experienced any pain so far).

After the 3 months passed, I had no "pea" but i could sense the plaque (definitely smaller) and the new curvature was gone. I mean I had been left with only my natural left sided small curvature I had since I was a small kid.... But my penis was thinner above the plaque and the errection on that part not as strong as the other 2/3 of my penis... I went again to see the doctor again and after the examination he told me that the plaque had been reduced, there is no reason to continue medication and he told me that I should have surgery only if I am dissapointed by the look of my penis. Also that I could not have the nesbit surgery because of my "bottleneck" peyronie, only the other method of the graft, with a 20% of causing ED problems, but because o my age this percent is smaller. Generally he advised me to not go through surgery procedure...

After that i tried to relaxe (there is no reason to mention the psychological effects all these had on me...). I tried sex again after almost 2 years. I can penetrate, but my problem is the upper part (above the plaque) which is "flaccid" and thinner than the rest of the penis when errected... This cause me to not fully enjoy sex. I also have a fear that damage might happen if I accidentally don't penetrate well due to  the fragileness of it... Even errected the upper part can be bended a little. In general 2/3 of my penis fuction well and the upper 1/3 does not...

I cannot move on like this, so please, any suggestions from now on? I was thinking of surgery after reading various posts here, like the egydio method... I read about the doctor in Austria/England named Dr. Kuehnas, too... Because I live in Greece there is this Konstantinidis medical institute. He is the same doctor working around the world (e.g. Germany) but read bad things about him in the forum and dont know what to do...

Thanks for reading.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I asked the doctor for the Potaba medicine and he told me that is a good one but there is a chance of causing a non reversible form of cancer, and that he would not give it to a (then) 35 year old person. Also, during the time of my treatment, after reading various internet posts here and there, i tried Neprinol and vitamin E oil (sometimes with DMSO) directly to the plaque...

VED therapy works great for dents and hour glass deformity. Traction can also work as well depending on the angle. Did you use the VED regularly? For me, with ventral or underside denting and hourglassing, traction at a downward angle basically fixed it, and VED was amazing while I could do it.

Xiaflex could work well in combination with traction and VED but I haven't heard much about hourglassing and Xiaflex.

Your last option is an IMPLANT, which work great! So don't worry too much. Yes an implant is weird, but it is a last resort that works. Other than that, diet and exercise is all I can really recommend.

I used VED as long as the doctor told me, ten minutes a day, but after the medication finished I used it once a week more or less...
About the Traction device the doc told me that, because I dont have a curve, wouldn't work.

Xiaflex cannot be found here, I asked the doctor...

Last option is implant?? This sounds awful... I mean there is no surgery available for my situacion?

(I was thinking of visiting another doctor too, I havent taken another's opinion, but as things seem it would not make a difference... :'( :'()

Any other member with similar problem??? I cannot find something searching the posts...

John;

You would be well advised to seek another opinion. I know nothing of Dr Konstantinidis, but I know Dr Kuehhas. He did my surgery in London and I'm happy with the result.

Be aware, he's not cheap! But, if there is an answer to your problem, you could to worse than book an appointment with him.
