Hi, I was just reading a post about hard flaccid but it was very old so thought I'd start a new one.
For me, "hard flaccid" is the worst symptom besides curve. This is because, when I have "hard flaccid" I also have: - Pain - ED - Curve appears more - Plaques more visible - very thick noticeable vein - much smaller (both flaccid and erect) - therefore much more hurt by my Peyronies Disease condition. First can people say weather they notice these ^ symptoms? So I know if it's just me or not? And secondly, for those who have managed to get past hard flaccid, the How's? My case is I think worse than the general, I say I have HF 18 hours a day, the severity changes constantly! I know I need to start a pelvic floor exercise program(any tips) and try and increase blood flow and not damage my penis further, but is there any others things I can do, for me I believe if I can get rid of my hard flaccid I can focus on the aspects such as curve and plaques, but until then, this is my biggest worry, I am constantly experiencing the "turtle effect" call out to anyone in my sutuation or go has experienced and got past it please help me out, also has anyone else had those symptoms while experiencing HF as spies to when not? Cheers guys

That sounds very similar to what I sometimes experience for a few weeks at a time. Nothing seems to get rid of this expect for just waiting it out. I recently started taking L-Arginine and I think that might have helped reduce the time I spent with a hard, painful, turtling flaccid. If the symptoms you describe are constantly with you then maybe you can try a 'supplement cocktail' that some users take. I think these supplements are L-Arginine, Acetly L-Carnitine and some others I cant remember. Im sure someone on here can tell you.

Is your flaccid hard all over or just where the plaques or pain is? For me the hardness is just around the area that is painful and the rest of my penis is soft like usual.
Thinking that the impermanent is permanent will always result in suffering experienced as loss.

Thanks for the reply buddy, I have tried a few supplements but not L-Argine yet!! I have tried waiting it out, stopping any stimulation and it just sort of lingers?!!its Annoying man!! Do you get some of the symptoms I mentioned when you get hard flaccid?
Oh really, see with mine it is hard all over but especially where the plaque is if that makes sense??

Hi GearsAce,

I recommend you start taking L-arginine and start using your VED regularly. These will both help blood flow and hopefully lessen these HF symptoms. Many users prefer powder form L-arginine, but personally, I've got on quite well with the tablets sold by Natures Best. You can taken 1-4 grams a day, but every couple of months you'll want to stop the l-arginine for a month as the body can develop a tolerance to it when used regularly.

Hey Gears yes I experience most of what you said and the pill cocktails mentioned on this site seem to be the only protocol that may work. I started in Nov 2015 (pey) and these last few days the pain has been at its worse like an all day toothache. Hang in there friend and keep posting we need each other.

GearsA

Cheers peety I am going to order some l-Arg, I want to use my VED daily but I get a pain in my whole pelvic area after use for some reason, and this usually worsens my HF? Any advice on a technique with VED?

I have this too.  It's caused by the pelvic muscles contracting in response to damage to the penis.  The only way I know of to fix the problem is by getting your pelvic muscles to relax.  The problem is that if there is physical damage to the penis this is very hard because your body senses something is wrong and naturally wants to tense.  It may be possible to solve the problem eventually, I don't know.  At least I've had a lot of improvement in this regard, but a long way to go.

GearsA

Yeah I notice if I have any slight injury the HF gets a little worse!! What do you do to loosen your pelvic floor? I need a program really to sort this out, I feel like if I could get rid of my HF I could at least manage my Peyronies!! Cheers buddy, bye I think a hot bath every night is helping guys

PeetyPeet

A hot bath can certainly help relax muscles and increase blood flow to your extremities :)

The pelvic pain you experience during VED use could be due to over pumping and/or holding the VED against your body too hard for a prolonged period of time. What VED are you using? As the protocol says take it gently. You might want to consider giving yourself a small semi-erection before inserting your penis into the VED. I've found this can make pumping a little easier.

I agree

After my first 6 weeks of VED I got pelvic / inguinal area pain/aching. I had to rest for 2 weeks and used heat packs for 4 - 6hrs/day everyday during that rest period. The pain went away and everything returned to normal.

I was not over pumping either. No more than 50% inflation per cycle.

After the break. I am now 5 weeks into starting the Forum 3 cylinder protocol again and everything seems good so far.

What I've changed this time :

- I wear a HotHands heatpack on the penis for a min of 2 hours before the daily VED session

- I only inflate to 30-40%

- I only hold each inflation for 5/6 seconds and I use a timer for each session to make sure rather than guess

- Each VED session is 10 mins per day, not 15 mins

- I angle the cylinder downwards at 45degs for a pumping session

- I always have the small cylinder rubber insert fitted (i.e. both rubber inserts on the Augusta are fitted) to minimize inguinal pressure

- I apply plenty of lube to the rubber inserts so a seal is very easy to get without pushing the VED too hard against your body. This is helped by shaving pubic hair short / off. I get a seal with the VED gently touching the skin only.

- Be very careful that no scrotal skin gets pulled into the VED when pumping by holding with the free hand. Pulling the scrotal sack or part of it into the cylinder can cause trapping of nerves, veins and other structures which could be the cause of this

Hello,
I might be considered too new here to offer advice but the "hard flaccid" symptom was the first and only one that ive made alot of progress towards fixing and i just started trying to fix myself in the last week and half. Somewhere on this forum i read somebody who is now peyronies symptom free posted to apply heat almost non stop. i started going to work with a hand warmer attached to my penis and had instant results. My penis is no longer hard flacid and is soft and healthy feeling instead. hope this helps

Thanks for that man, I appreciate all advice, I do notice constant heat a massive helper at relieving that hard tissue pain and makes my pins feel more like blood can flow around, as where normally it feels hard and kind of cold(lifeless)

GearsA

Gutted, thanks so much for that info you have shared, I am so scared that using VED I will worsen the curve, is the main precaution to take making sure I don't pump to hard and heat up first? Cheers for all the advice man!!!

In my opinion, with your VED, you need to focus on :

1. Not over pumping. When people talk about % inflation in each VED pump cycle, they mean % of a natural full erection. The 50% guideline in the Forum protocol is a max. If you are worried, start by doing cycles of 30% inflation only. You should always stay very conscious of how it feels as you pump up

2. Start off by holding each inflation for 5 seconds only. Use a timer so it's not 10 or 15 seconds

3. Try just 5 pump/release cycles at first rather than 10 per session whilst seeing how you get on and how it feels

3. Heat yourself up first with the Hothands heat packs for a couple of hours before

If you are having difficulty, you don't have to go straight into the Forum 26 week protocol. Take a couple of weeks practice first and go very gently as above and see you get on and how things feel. Kind of work your way in if you know what I mean.

After my first attempt at the Forum protocol and getting that pelvic / inguinal ache. I took 2 weeks off and used heat only until every symptom had totally gone. Then, as I say above, I didn't go straight back to the beginning of the protocol and start again. I spent 2 weeks going very gentle to see how it was.

Even after those 2 gentle weeks, when I started the Forum protocol again from the beginning, I decided each pump cycle should be 30/40% inflation and only a 5 second hold. Also each VED session is 10 mins now not 15 mins. I'm 6 weeks into the Forum 3 cylinder protocol again and so far everything is fine with these modifications

Just make sure you are in no discomfort or have any tingling or any other odd sensation when you pump

PS - use plenty of lube in the cylinder and on yourself and on the cylinder inserts (for a good seal) as it makes a lot of difference to your inflation in the cylinder in my experience. Try heating the cylinder and lube beforehand too as things cool down quick with the water based lube and a cold cylinder

Oh and also remember ...... VED is not a quick fix. There isn't a quick fix unfortunately and lack of patience could lead to problems

The Forum 3 cylinder protocol itself is 26 weeks for one complete pass and if you talk to people who have had success with VED on here, it wasn't in 2, 3  or 4 months !!

In fact, the forum expert on VED and creator of the Protocols told me it took him 2 years but he got rid of all of his symptoms.....

PeetyPeet

My symptoms are a little different.....but nonetheless I'm resigned to using VED indefinitely. Best to view it as a lifestyle choice. If only I could find one that doesn't break!

This will probably be the most odd advice I give, but shaving the shaft and balls seems to alleviate hard flaccid for me. It does nothing for whatever is causing the hard flaccid in the first place, but the extra sensation as you go about your day seems to stop hard flaccid anyway. So at least you're avoiding the damage hard flaccid can cause, despite not actually treating the cause.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

It is also more nice as less smelly if shaved 8)
This what I have learned in a country I stayed for 10 years ;) Don't want to mention the country name, but all the woman and man are shaved for hygienic reasons :)
