Dear Peyronie's Society/Forum,

I do hope this message has found you well, all things considered.

First, I'd like to thank your the for the grace with which you've grown this community and supplied resources.
As a young man with Peyronie's Disease, I'm too among the grateful thousands you've inspired hope in for years.

I offer, however, an important addition to our strategy. Although what this group does is invaluable and should persist,
to advance we now also need a broader organization committed to sexually-limiting disorders across sex and gender.

3 characteristics are critical.

• The new org must include sex limiting conditions in men, women, intersex, transsexuals and all gender identities worldwide. Consider, the disorder known as MRKH found in genetic females bears uncanny statistical parallels to our own - such as rate of incidence, as well as functional and psycho-emotional ones. The regenerative tech solutions on the horizon for theirs and ours are very similar, as well as those for people with severe genital injuries, and people with gender identity disorder/dystrophia (GID).
• The new org cannot be anonymous. We need to change the cultural, obsolete attitude towards Peyronie's that has slowed progress by 3-4 decades. We are decades behind the MRKH community who have media coverage, pull in D.C., and worldwide support groups. By pitiful contrast, the one FB Peyronie's Group is a targeted bullying of a young man existing for 4+ years and not even reported.
• The new org must have a STEM/regenerative bioengineering and entrepreneurial character. We are MUCH closer to market solutions than some sectors let on, and societal interest would accelerate this drastically. But this won't happen if we wait on a single pharma company and some celebrity doctors. The truth is vastly more complicated tissue and organ engineering feats have already been accomplished, such as lab-grown and implanted entire vaginas.

Therefore, the new org will be a startup accelerator.

Rather than directly fight societal attitudes on penis-shame, we'll get results by presenting pan-human, scientific, near market ready solutions and by forming strategic alliances under a broader, more inclusive mission.

So first steps. A Facebook Page to function as a space for awareness and convocation.

And (secret) Facebook group to function as a think-tank for experts in STEM, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, entrepreneurship, business/ finance, PR, writing, Languages (especially Chinese and Japanese), etc. and for highly committed people willing to volunteer their time.

The short-term goal is to form a non-profit org and co-organize an XPrize (an event where biomedical engineering teams are incentived with prize money to create cure in record time) and accelerate startups/companies that would take tech to market.

We can and WILL have generations of progress in just a few years.

Dear pfract,
I'm in my 20's and it persists. Started after an injury at the hands of a bully at 12.
It's ventral and limits me sexually.

That said, let's keep this thread focused on this new organizational approach.
Companies are soon to grow and implant much more complex organs.

The basis for the technologies that will make up the cure for Peyronie's all already exists. It's more a matter of showing societal interest and of few smart people using their STEM / entrepreneurial skills in a taboo subject.

If you'd like I'll open a thread on the introduction section where I'll reveal all aspects of my condition. I understand your cause for caution fully.

At this stage we don't quite need funding, but I'm confident we can raise it having a background in fundraising.
On FB or via Private Message I'll gladly reveal my identity fully.

When I say we need an org that is less anonymous I don't mean we need to make a video with our face or wear a badge, but we need a method of showing support for Peyronies Disease solutions that all people, men and others, can at least like on Facebook without shame or without it being necessarily indicative of their own condition.
Would you assist me in making this convocation visible to people here? Perhaps to some of the thought leaders here?

Allow me to clarify that I will create with the new org. only adds to the mission of this Society, in no way competes, isn't a forum, is wholly distinct, and is in no way a commercial product.

I fully appreciate the value of what happens on this forum.

Some members have show objection to the paradigm shift in secrecy I see as necessary, and that is fine. Anybody not willing need not to, although at this stage all I ask is for the courage to "like" a page that references many sex limiting conditions across gender..
However, I assure being able to talk about our issue as casually as women talk about breast cancer or MRKH is critical to accelerating scientific and entrepreneurial progress.

PDS is one front, and those here are doing an excellent job.
But there is another front, and another strategy that is also important given new technologies.
We would be wise to act on multiple fronts to speed towards the cure.

So yes. I am fishing for support. It was my belief support is the heart of this forum.
I am out of tune with the culture of this forum but I assure you I'm at the service of this community.

If I were considering stem cell injections for Peyronies Disease and had the money, I would consider Docere Clinics. They've worked with Dave Asprey who is in my opinion the world's foremost expert on racidical health optimization and biohacking.

What Dave Asprey does isn't science. He occasionally uses the scientific method, but he isn't a scientist.

He's a guinea pig that offers cues about biology that scientists can then look into.

He's an N of 1 and not kin with the Harvard U. Dept. of Bio. Engr. or the Med. Journal Cranio.

The value he brings is personal experience.

Now as far as planting citations without regard for content, I gotta take all parties with a grain of salt.

Not only you are out of tune, as you are out of peyronies also. Who is paying you for all this endeavor of yours? Why don't you assume all along you don't have peyronies and you are fake and just here to fish for support and who knows what else? maybe money with facebook's ad revenue program?

I'm not naïve but something tells me this guy isn't a spammer. I mean, do you really think he makes anything out of a facebook page that's liked by 2 people. And even if he did get money, I don't even care if it helps raise awareness of peyronies. The only thing I don't really understand is how this will work and I think billionaire could be a little clearer in his explanations.

With a tag like "Experts in STEM and Entrepreneurship" it is very hard to take him seriously.

He has no website, no funding and has made no mention of his own qualifications or even who he is. Not a requirement for a member here seeking help with treatments, definitely a requirement for someone coming here trying solicit talented members to volunteer their time in pursuit of an obscure goal.

Though it is very unclear from his post, I think he is talking about growing and implanting a lab grown penis but that is something Atala was ready to do in 2014 (waiting on approval and obviously willing patients), so this may have been achieved already.

Guys, I do apologize for not taking into account the complex social and cultural dynamics of this forum.
You all have every right to be cautious, I know first hand this is tough, and I'm grateful for the help you've provided throughout the years.

My previous posts were much too wordy.

I've already revealed my identity to several members, outside of this forum, in accordance with it's norms.

In simplest terms.

1. I am working to create a think tank entirely distinct from this forum focused on the application of regenerative medicine on sex limiting conditions: male, female, and of others.
Why? Because the culture of shame and secrecy surrounding Peyronie's slows scientific and market progress.
But also, symptoms and solutions in other conditions, including MRKH in women, are very similar.
Together we'd be more effective.

2. The basis for the technology is already here. It just needs a bit more focused R&D, societal interest, and entrepreneurship. The last is especially important because for already big pharma companies, it's less risky to just create another drug.

(Putting regenerative therapies on the market has bee done, but requires creativity and grit.)

3. I'm not asking this forum to change at all.
At this stage I'm calling for a few people to whom this approach makes sense to a chat: firebrands, highly motivated and/or with skills in STEM or entrepreneurship, non-profit, writing, social media, languages (Japanese and Chinese), etc.

For everyone else, consider liking our page on FB.
Social media isn't our priority, but it's the start of creating a new, larger narrative that includes Peyronie's,
and attracting young, bright minds that might otherwise search Facebook and see only negative Peyronies Disease content.

(Of course, I understand why this forum is anonymous as it deals with the toughest bits, but we also need spaces for open communications with the world, and none exists.)

Gentleman, this month scientists grew eyes in a lab and implanted them in rabbits. Our biggest issue isn't tech.
It's economics and culture.

Lastly, Dr. Atala's work in growing penises has been mentioned.

Growing and transplanting organs falls under Tissue Engineering. Causing damaged parts to heal themselves falls under Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine.

Both these disciplines are highly intertwined, share the same materials science, and require each other. A win in one,
is a direct win in the other,
but for Peyronies Disease the latter is most important.
