I recently went to my urologist about a month ago and explained to him that I might have peyronies diseas ( I'm 20) he confirmed to me after checking my penis in the consultation,
that I don't have peyronies. I have a congenital curvature based on the fact I have had the curv (around 30-35 degrees) since I can remember ( around 8 or something. )

He recommended that I get a Nesbit procedure done and that I may lose a couple mm, he said it would be a day surgery. I'd be wrapped up for about 6 weeks and that meant no sex etc.
Naturally I went online and started to google the procedure and well I am not hearing good things about this. People are saying they are loosing inches after this procedure and I'm already average around 5.3 inches to begin with.

What are your thoughts on this? How should I proceed? Should I ask to get some x-rays etc done to understand exactly how much I will lose?
I heard people getting more than one suture and I haven't even been informed on how many sutures I would need.

My current emotions to getting this surgery are ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ based on how much I will lose in length and if it appropriate.

I am proposing you to read as much as you can on the forum regarding Nesbit before you are deciding if yes or no.
In my opinion, you have better surgery options than Nesbit

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

As James said, it's an outdated surgery and there are better options. Definitely read around here a lot and see what you can find.

Midnightninja;

I would suggest that you read up on The Stage Technique. It's a tad more sophisticated than The Nesbitt.

Honestly I would never try to fix a 30/35 degree curvature.
31 yrs old
Severe congenital curvature. 3 straightening surgeries
Big lump/stitch w/ left deviation after 2012 surgery
Severe ED after last one in 2014. Still crooked
Slightly improved w/ shockwave therapy
Looks like only one side of my penis works

And losing length should not be you first concern, and not be the second one as well. Losing some centimeters that you can get back using some traction is nothing compared to the complications you may come across.

The first question (As Jack1090 mentioned) is that you might not need surgery at all. It depends on the direction of the curvature and your ability to have intercourse. A 30-35 degrees upward curve is much easier to deal with and may not require surgery. Where as a 30-35 degree downward curve could be a challenge.

If you are able to have intercourse without any issues, then don't risk the surgery. That simple.

Whatever you do, DO NOT have the Nesbitt procedure. I recently had a consultation with Dr Kuehhas and he explained the differences between nesbitt and his STAGE procedure.
The STAGE procedure is almost guaranteed with minimal complications or length loss.
I am having surgery with him next month.
Also, as Dr Kuehhas explained, if it affects you then it needs to be corrected. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. The fact that it is "only" 35 degree curvature is irrelevant, it is how it affects you both mentally and physically. His words not mine.
My curvature does not affect my sex life, does not hurt or bother my partner, but I hate it. I am always conscious of my deformity. Dr Kuehhas explained that this is what most people say. I was expecting him to tell me that surgery is not necessary because it does not affect my ability to have a successful sex life and I am happily married with kids. He explained that men fall in love with their penises during teenage years for obvious reasons. When they are dissatisfied with its shape it causes a lot of anxiety etc.
He basically described what I had always felt, I got a lump in my throat believe me.
He also explained that putting pressure on the curve during sex puts me at risk of peyronies, especially as I get older and the erection loses some strength.
The amount of sex I missed out on years ago because I was afraid of what women would think of my penis is a real shame.
So.... if it bothers you that much, then get it corrected. There is no cure for congenital curve, and the only proven safe and effective method is STAGE.

Kuehhas is a great surgeon. I have been keeping in touch with him for more than years. He is often right, but his voice is not the God's voice. It all depends on how is it that curvature. I'll never try to fix a 30 degree upward curvature. Stage is best option of course, but it's still a surgery. I would think instead if the curvature was ventral.

Many friends of mine have a 25/35 degree curvature but they live a normal life. Not just handful, many. Please Just don't turn normal conditions into pathological, please.

Hi Jack.
I assumed that the OP's congenital curve was (lateral). I agree that a slight upward curve is not as bad, it maybe even better for sex (g-spot stimulation). But this still risks peyronies in later life if not corrected.

Yet... another post of somebody requesting help, and not showing up at the forum later on... :|

midnightninja -- Did you get help? What's your status?

I have a congenital curve -- but as of June 24, 2016 you'd never know. I had penile plication surgery (the same surgery whether it's Peyronie's or congenital). I had a variety of opinions from a variety of urologists, mostly voting that I did have Peyronie's. Did tons of research on my own while gathering data from doctors, and finally found a urologist who specializes in the male dick, not just urology.

BIG difference.

And awesome results. Post-op erections reveal that I'm a new man. Surgery is healing AMAZINGLY at the two week mark.

Can you tell me more about this surgery?
Thanks

If you look in the tagline under my post, you'll see a link to my diary. It has a TON of info. After you've read through that, I'd be happy to answer more questions.

I just passed the 12 month mark on surgery for congenital curvature. There are no therapies, oils, charms, or other things to cure a congenital curve. Only surgery. My diary will break down the concerns for you.

Regards,

John
