Hi I am a 54 yr old from NY diagnosed in Oct 2015, looking for advice and help, sex life is nil, and my confidence
is in the toilet. I am seeing my urologist for the 2nd time in a few weeks, His original approach is take co q 10 300mgs total daily, and that is it til the next appt. I am leary of this wait and see approach, and don't know what
to do or if there is any help out there. What approaches have any of you used with success and are there alternative
treatments. Any help is appreciated. I don't know where else to turn and since my last 2 times at intimacy failed I
am gun shy to try again.

Hello,

You are right to be concerned "wait and see" is code for I dont know what Peyronies really is or how to treat it. I have sent you a PM with helpful links in the forum one is for a list of urologist that specialize in Peyronies. I would start there for sure. All the members here are very helpful. If you can fill us in on your symptoms that will help the members know how to help guide you and what to suggest.

Please ask questions and look through the boards for information. While I'm sorry you have to be here I certainly welcome you and am glad you found us.

Thanks Stabler I got the PM and am going to check to see if the Dr's listed on Long Island New York are in my area.
My symptoms started approx in June of 15 I finally got the courage up to see a Dr in Oct 15 who prescribed the Co Q 10. I see him again Feb 15. My symptoms are an upwards bend during erection that makes it damn near impossible to have intercourse, and when slightly erect a slight bend to the left. I don't suffer any pain during erection, just find it hard to penetrate and maintain an erection, not sure if its part psychological and part medical.
I have googled positions to try and any other treatments etc. and it was by shear luck that I discovered this forum.
Any input and guidance by the members will be greatly appreciated.

As Stabler wrote, the "Wait and see" approach shows you uro don't know what Peyronies is.
Also his advice to take CoQ10 shows the same thing.
Our body uses Ubiquinol and not CoQ10 that is Ubiquinone.
Our body capability to transform the CoQ10 to Ubiquinol degrades while ageing, for this reason after the age of 40 you should take Ubiquinol.
Also as stabler said you may find a good uro close the you here:
