Are Erections Good or Bad for Peyronies? AND Very Hard Flaccid Constantly

Hi Everyone,

I've had pain in my penis for about 3 months and I am only 20 years old.  I have had one visit to a urologist and was examined by a nurse practitioner.  She said she didnt see any bumps or anything, gave me cialis, and told me the pain would go away.  She said it wasn't peyronies however I don't beleive that.  She barely felt it and my entire shaft feels very hard and hurts when I touch it.  Im wondering If i have plaque covering my entire shaft because it is all pretty hard and hurts badly.  I did jelqing for a year and it was very dumb.  I gained an inch but it was probably just from puberty.  Now im scared I have peyronies and will never have a functioning penis again.  Im only 20 years old so the idea that I will have to live with this for the rest of my life gives me really bad depression.

It has now been a month since the last appointment and i have another one coming up in two weeks.  I asked the last nurse about pentox and she said the urologist has never used it so I couldnt get it.  But i will try to ask him to prescribe me it instead of Xiaflex (which is what the nurse said they did)The pain has gotten worse and I stopped taking the cialis because of painful erections. It only occasionally hurts when its flaccid and when i touch it, but it almost always hurts when I get an erection.  The pain is so bad that it is very very difficult to maintain an erection for more than a minute unless I am extremely aroused.  It really sucks to cause I used to have sex about 3 times a week with girl but now I can't have sex or even maturbate because if i do I really regret it because of the pain.  Im also afraid it is causing reinjury everytime I masturbate.

Also, my entire shaft feels pretty hard and only loosens up when Im extremely relaxed or sometimes after I urinate.  Does this mean its actually plaque or does this mean its a tight pelvic floor?  I dont know why else there would be pain though if it wasnt plaqu  constricting the nerves of my penis.

SO THE MAIN QUESTIONS ARE:

1.)Should I try to have daily erections and continue taking the cialis even if it causes pain (because bloodflow=healing) OR should i try to avoid erections or any type of heat to lessen pain or possible inflammation?

2.)Do you think my almost constantly hard penis and pain is plaque? Can plaque sometimes feel hard and sometimes soft?

3.Does masturbating and it hurting after mean im reinjuring it and new plaque is forming/ the plaque is calcifying?

4.) How should I convince my urologist to prescribe me Pentox?

This forum has been a big help in looking for cures and providing support, so thankyou .  Also it would be great if any of you guys could give me some advice or share some personal experiences about these 4 questions. Thanks again

Ethan

You seem to have most certainly done some damage to your penis. Whether it's Peyronies or not is questionable.

Noe of us here are Doctors or Urologists. As such it's difgicult, possibly even dangerous for any of us to make a suggestion.  I suggest you find yourself a competent Urologist - there is a list on the site - and get an appointment as soon as you can.

Job is on the money. However, do not settle for an NP, a female no less. Check and make sure that you are going to actually see the Urologist. If not, cancel the appointment and get another appointment with the actual Urologist ASAP. If you do have Peyronies, you don't want to have a wait an see approach. I had a similar situation where I had a female PA see me, but I am a bit more restricted in that I have military insurance and I get seen at Walter Reed so I took things into my own hands until I could see the Urologist.

From the depression standpoint, it is difficult; however, you have to maintain a positive attitude because people with a positive outlook tend to recover better. Everybody in this forum will help you stay positive and point you in the right direction.

Hey guys thanks for the advice.  A few guys on here sent me messages and told me to get on cialis because it helps with nighttime erections which will aid recovery so Ive been doing that.  Hopefully the urologist will diagnose me so I can get on pentox right away.  Since ive been taking cialis my attitude has gotten better because at least Im getting great nocturnal erections and the flaccid pain has stopped, which only starts again if I smoke weed (I have no idea why), or if i get an erection it kinda hurts.

Its me-  What type of anti-inflammatory should i take?  Ive been taking ibuprofen for a while and that helps the pain a little bit.  However, Ive read some studies that said Ibuprofen actually SLOWS recovery for minor injuries but simply helps with the pain.  Another study also showed an increase in plaque size for a group that took ibuprofen.  It reduces prostaglandins which is what your body produces to help tissues recover with healthy tissue.  So im afraid to much ibuprofen, although reduces inflammation short term, may impede recovery in the long term.

I don't know that I would agree with ANY anti-inflammatory. And if you can get Pentox, it has also been known to help relieve pain.

I think LWillis is taking the safe route here. I am not a doctor, but you can do your own research on NSAID drugs and see long-term issues with them if you are taking them daily for an extended period of time. I don't know if there is anything you can take topically that will help. I personally use Youngevity's CM Cream on my elbow because I have tendon damage from playing baseball for so long. I put it on and I have 4-5 hours of no pain.

I appreciate your response and feel this is a good place to make this post. I am not necessarily taking the safe route. Just trying to keep things in perspective. It seems recently we have some new members who have strong opinions. And opinions are fine and we respect them. But words like never do this, or this medicine is the what you should be using, or never do this or that, etc.

We aren't doctors, but a group of devoted individuals devoted to helping those who are walking on our footsteps. New members come on the site and read some of these comments and think it is the gospel truth. That is why we try to quote facts, studies, or polls. And what works for some doesn't work for all.

The strength of this forum is due to some of the long time members who are here to help others and share prior experiences.
