I mentioned previously that one month into my Magnesium protocol I noticed an improvement in an old Urethra scar.

Today, I noticed improvement in the Peyronie's bend.  I am not in a position right now to be able to measure and compare to my base line images, but...  The "bend" is now more of a "curve"...not nearly as sharp at the apex...and zero pain.

Furthermore, the left leaning I was noticing is almost non existent now.  Approximately 5 weeks into Magnesium supplementation with little other supplements or meds...I'm out of Pentox and Cialis, and the others were causing vision issues (apparently)...so this is JUST the Magnesium and irregular VED use.

Great news. What is your daily dose? Mind sharing the brand you use?

kuaka

mag/cl is "slo mag" brand from Walmart.  Forget the Mag Citrate brand but it was also at Walmart

QuackAttack

Kuaka,

Were you taking Mag Cit and found it to be ineffective and switched to Mag Cl?

kuaka

No.  Started with Mag/Cl, then found some Mag/Citrate so I do both in case one is better than the other.  Morning dose is Mag/Cl, evening is Mag/Citrate

I read this last night   Magnesium Oil can be applied directly to inflamed areas.

Transdermal Magnesium Therapy offers an important breakthrough in medical treatment offering an excellent a form of magnesium supplementation that is just not possible with oral use alone. Transdermal medicine is ideal for pain management as well as sports and pediatric medicine and for diabetic neuropathy there is nothing better in the entire world of medicine.

Traditional methods of administering medicine such as tablets or capsules get watered down and become much less effective due to stomach acids and digestive enzymes, before they eventually get into the bloodstream. Bypassing the stomach and liver means a much greater percentage of the active ingredient goes straight into the bloodstream where it's needed and in the case of neuropathy medicinal properties are concentrated in the local tissues.

Transdermal magnesium therapy is ideal for pain management, diabetic neuropathy and inflammation. The combination of heat and magnesium chloride increases circulation and waste removal. The therapeutic effect of magnesium baths is to draw inflammation out of the muscles and joints. Magnesium chloride, when applied directly to the skin is transdermally absorbed and has an almost immediate effect on pain.

The point being transdermal may be the way to get the most mag chloride into my system. I will use the sprays more often to ensure the highest dosage. The mag oil that I use states "62 mg per 4 sprays" so I am assured AI will get the full amount I want. I will use 2 treatments/day of 4 sprays each.

I will post on my progress/research.

What source?  Where do you get the Mag oil?

I purchase my mag oil from a national supplement chain near us. Pure magnesium oil in a pump spray. It is 100% pure, no other contaminants. I read this last night:

Magnesium Chloride Oil

This pure liquid form of magnesium chloride is the quickest and most convenient way to transmit magnesium into the cells and tissues through the skin. For example, a few sprays under each armpit after a shower function as a highly effective deodorant, while at the same time transporting magnesium swiftly through the skin into the glands, lymph channels, and blood vesseks, which distribution it throughout the body. Spray some onto the back of the hands or the top of the feet any time of day or night for continuous magnesium absorption. Regardless of where on the body you apply the spray, once it penetrates the surface of the skin, the body transports it to whichever tissues need magnesium most.
By far the best source of magnesium chloride in the world today is the ancient 250- million-year-old seabed located 2,000 meters beneath the earth's surface in Europe. Known as the Ancient Zechstein Seabed, it lies deep below the ground, protected from all pollutants, and contains all of the 81 minerals and trace elements that are essential for human health. The dense brine from this ancient sunken sea is pumped up to the surface in Holland, refined to produce pure magnesium chloride, then concentrated in the form of crystal flakes or thick fluid and sold under the "++++++++" label.

Scientists know that women's bodies are known to crave for chocolate during PMS. Some researchers believe that women crave chocolate prior to menstruation because it contains magnesium. The medical journal for the American Heart Association, created a stir when it reported a study of 22 heart transplant patients who were given a dose of dark chocolate or fake chocolate. Just two hours after eating the real thing, patients had measurable improvements in blood flow and vascular function and less clotting, compared to placebo chocolate eaters, who experienced no change. Chocolate cravings are potentially a sign of a magnesium deficiency for chocolate is high in magnesium, there are 88mg magnesium in 1 oz of unsweetened chocolate.

Can you give the name of the chain?  Not a link, but just as a potential source...

Let's see if the moderators allow this. I get "Life-flo mag oil" from Vitamin Shoppe or online from Ancient Minerals (both spray and larger).

I came across this site http://healyourselfathome.com/HOW/NEWSTARTS/1_NUTRITION/MINERALS/MAGNESIUM/MAGNESIUM_SUPPLEMENTATION/transdermal_mg_cl.aspx whilst searching, it seems to have some interesting ideas (I haven't read enough to decide either way) but about quarter down the page it mentions how to make magnesium oil which it turns out is just the flakes and distilled water.

I've got some on the way and will see how it goes, I've got other family members I'll be testing on too, they have different conditions but any info may be useful.

%Since seeing the Mag Oil info and having some myself, mixed with potassium iodate, Vitamin E and DMSO gel, along with heat. Add the DMSO as it is well known as a penetrating agent and should help to get the oil to penetrate with the heat.  Who knows if it works, but everything and anything is worth a try. Oh, don't get the 99% DMSO, way too powerful and will actually dry your skin out as it did mine. I have 70% DMSO with aloe and haven't had a problem.

Good luck

TheE

I am taking magnesium oxide alongside other supplements, I think it does help though. I don't know for sure but I'd recommend it, I was always feeling tired before peyronie's so I think I may have been deficient. I'd also suggest blueberries, lots and lots of them.

basebend

For TheE and everyone else, Magnesium Oxide has a poor absorption rate compared to other forms.

Based on what I've read the best forms of magnesium to take are Glycinate, Chloride, Taurate and Citrate.
