Over three years since first diagnosed with Peyronies Disease, stopped Pentox due to side effects two year ago which led to a significant loss of length and girth. I also have a 45 degree upward bend. Recently developed erections when in bed. When I wake up at various times during the night my penis continues to be erect I suspect this amounts to several hours of erection each night and has been this way for 1-2 months. My penis is starting to get sore, this is not a problem during the day. Has anyone have similar issues? Thoughts or suggestions?

I have also experienced this due to increased blood flow after practicing the Wim Hof method for the last few weeks.

Previously the erection pain had been slowly relenting but it is returning due to the increased blood flow leading to regular NTEs (similar to yours) which is great but they also lead to wet dreams causing a pain spike and slowly increasing erection pain.

The things I have already tried which worked great for me are following an anti inflammatory diet and stretching/exercising hip muscles regularly which has eliminated all my pain whilst sitting at work. Also regarding the wim hof, I know it's leading to wet dreams which are causing pain but this method (and other deep breathing meditations) have really helped me de stress and the increased blood flow is great during the day, it's just unfortunate it's also leading wet dreams.

Sorry to not be all that helpful but it's nice to hear from others in the same boat. If I discover any epiphanies I'll try and update this thread.

That is a priapism. My father has those at night and has Peyronie's as well. I have heard conflicting information about how it is very dangerous and causes fibrosis and also information suggesting it can make your penis larger permanently. I wish I had some advice for you but I encourage you to research priapism and see a Peyronie's specialist.

I have the same situation, and it's always been a puzzle to me.  I get significant wood and wake up 3 or 4 times from around 5-7 am, sometimes earlier.  Never had nearly that much bef peyronies.  When it happens,  I take a whiz or just wait a few minutes and it goes down. Sometimes takes a while. It was worse when I took cialis and stronvivo regularly, but still happens w/o. Doesn't occur during the day.  I've asked a couple of uros whether there is any danger in priapism w/ all that , and none seemed concerned. And yes, the stretching during the night often causes pain in the left or right side of the shaft when I get up.

My understanding of priapism is that it is a hard, relentless erection lasting 4 hrs+. During this time the oxygen in the blood trapped in the penis is exhausted, causing fibrosis to the corpus cavernosa.

Nocturnal erections seem to occur during REM sleep. I can't explain why you're having more frequent/longer lasting NTEs since developing Peyronies Disease, but unless you have an unchanging strong erection for most of the night, I'm not sure this would be priapism.

Take a step back and look at all of your medications and supplements.

There maybe something in there that is causing it.
As an example:
I find I get more Night Erections when I take the herb valerian to help me sleep. It is Kind of counter productive as the night time boner can sometimes wake me up. But on a whole I feel I have had a more restful nights sleep.

I'm in my first month or two of peyronies.  I seem to be getting far more erections at night than i did before. It's strange. I wake up with erections a few times in the night. I am aware of this because i dont want to damage myself any more while rolling around and half asleep.

The problem is that I am now hyper aware of anything to do with my penis. Sexuality is also obviously a thing swirling through my conciousness and unconciousness enough to possibly cause arousal in my sleep.

The only supliments I have taken are Citrulline malate at the moment. I am pretty certain that this causes me strong erections at night, but I havent taken that for the past week, and I have still been getting the erections

I've had the same experience w/ more erections with peyronies, particularly around 5-7am. Asked urologists why, and I get a blank stare back.  Perhaps erections in sleep are normal and we never noticed them.  But w/ peyronies, we get the stretching/pulling sensation, and that wakes us up and we are more aware of them.  I find that all that pulling w/ the erections often leave me w/ a sore groin for the early part of the day.  Probably stretch some ligaments or whatever' down there.
