Hello,
I'm so glad to have found this group! My husband has suffered with Peyronie's now in some degree for 25 years. We had a diagnosis of it three years ago. I have struggled in helping him for many years, but he is now kind of shutting down. He has recently become a member of this forum, and he still feels like there isn't much hope. His only treatment has been Cialis and Viagra, which has not helped. We are new to all these other treatments and surgery, and I am hoping to find a way to pull him up out of the hole he has let himself fall into for lack of hope.
His Father had the contracture of the hands (forget the name) that is tied to Peyronie's. My husband feels his father also suffered from Pey's, too. So there is a definite congenital  aspect here.
Thanks for allowing me to be a part of the forum, and I look forward to being here and learning more.
Thank you!

Please let you husband know he can post questions or he can 'Private Message' any of us.

Cialis/Viagra alone do not treat Peyronies. These help to treat ED which can be a secondary effect from Peyronies Disease.

I have granted you access to the 'Ladies Only' section.

Cialis/Viagra aid in circulation and erection only.  Peyronie's itself (PDS) is characterized by scar tissue buildup on the Tunica, which interferes with erection.  Treating the scar tissue itself is the objective here.  Poor circulation can be a big part of it, which is why Cialis/Viagra can be in the mix, but the primary supplements/medicines need to be focused on scar tissue softening/fibrosis reduction.

This is where Pentox, L-Arginine, L-Carnatine and other oxygen boosters come in, as well as Magnesium supplementation.  I think Magnesium is a bit overlooked at present, but my personal trial of it is still in its infancy.

Some form of traction and/or VED therapy, properly done, along with scar tissue softening agents, is the least invasive approach to treatment/cure.

Next is direct injection of scar tissue dissolving agents such as Xiaflex.

Next is surgery to either shorten the Tunica opposite the "plaque" (Nesbitt Plication), which can straighten things out but falls "short" in that overall length is reduced and is only useful for "classic" PDS as opposed to hourglass or other deformities.  The alternate surgery is to remove the plaque and replace that portion of the Tunica with other tissue...but this is not well proven yet...stem cell therapy is also in this mix.

The most invasive approach is a penile implant.

At any rate, it is far from hopeless.
