Hi, I'm obviously completely new here & my condition is newly acquired, I am anxious, but determined to improve my situation, please forgive my ignorance & please help me & guide me here.. I could really do with a few friends in this regard  - I suffered a penile fracture around 10 weeks ago, had surgery within 24 hours of my injury, which was performed by a reputable andrology team here in the UK, BUT the aftercare is most certainly lacking. I have curvature of 30 degrees to the left now, obviously caused by scar tissue resulting from the surgery.. Which as far as I can tell is pretty much the same issue all sufferers of peyrione's experience.

My urologist advised me to buy a vacuum device (which is about all he has advised me to do at the mo).. Which I did, however due to the high price tag of £250 of the medical device he recommended, I plumped for a cheaper option (the mustang made by body images here in the UK). Apparently it's a good pump but the instructions didn't mention a safe pressure zone.. So I believe I over did it at pressures between 5-10 hg on & off for 30 secs - 1 min at a time over a period of 30 mins to an hour twice a day for 3 days. After these 6 sessions, I experienced some pain - sharp twinges where the scar tissue is & a weird sharp twinge in the middle of my shaft.. These were more prevalent yesterday & have thankfully subsided today - I haven't pumped now for 2 days - having looked up dangers of pumping & found out the safe zone is in fact 0 - 5 hg... I will probably continue pumping in the "safe zone" on Tues this week (or once I have no more pains at all) - PLEASE ADVISE

Also, surfing the net re fractures/peyronies I discovered traction devices (last night) & after a couple of hours of looking around, I have ordered the "andropeyrione" device - it seemed that this was the only medically backed device with directional pressure capabilities - hence most suited to my curvature issue.. Now further research has brought me here.. So, have I made a good choice of traction device? If the size genetics device (which looked v popular) would have been better, I can invest in that in a few month's time when I'll be able to afford it.. Again, PLEASE ADVISE

I have also seen literature on oral medication etc - Does anyone here recommend Kanabo repair xtreme? I have seen posts referring to other oral medication designed to break down the scar tissue.. What medication should I be discussing with my urologist? What medication do any of you recommend.. PLEASE ADVISE.

I do hope I haven't come across as rude or bombarded you all with too many questions on this one link, but as I say, I am new, v anxious about my situation and desperately looking to learn & garner the right advice ASAP. Thank you in advance if you are about to reply with advice for me.

I wouldn't be so certain you're suffering Peyronie's Disease at this point. I'd wonder if the surgical repair of your penis isn't inducing the 30-degree bend you're witnessing? If that's the case, and since 30-degrees is not that bad, and within the range of "normal," I wouldn't jump to the conclusion you have Peyronies Disease, which is an abnormal scarring disease. Your scarring may be entirely "normal" given the surgery, or even short-term post-surgical swelling, etc. Have you really talked to your doctor about this?

As far as oral prescription treatments, there's really only one that seems worthwhile - Trental (brand name Pentoxifylline). You can read plenty about it on this forum.

Again, have a good talk with your doc as to whether he/she feels you actually have Peyronies Disease, or just some post-surgical distortion. It may be temporary if that's the case. Even if it's not, 30-degrees is not that bad. I had a normal congenital curvature of probably 30-degrees BEFORE I ever had Peyronies Disease, and never had a problem with it.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

Thank you for replying Nemo, whilst I realise my scarring (& it IS scarring) may be "normal" post surgery it has nonetheless left me with indentation/hinging whilst erect and a fairly painful pulling sensation on my penis in an erect state. I came here because I knew sufferers of peyronies shared the same symptoms re scarring & curvature and therefore would be able to help me. I also understand that 30 degrees is considered fairly mild in terms of curvature, however I ask you to please consider I went from zero curvature to 30 degrees hinged curvature practically overnight & wish to do everything I can to correct this.
Thank you for advice re oral medication - much appreciated!
Hopefully someone will be able to advise me re my choice of traction device as well.

Kind regards, B.
