I am new here and I am an avid cybercondriac.. I search online for issues all the time and I came across peyronies and now im terrified. my penis occasionally does a kind of hourglass when its flaccid or starting to get erect. thats my only symptom. my dr says its not but I just cant stop thinking about it. could someone please reassure me?

Well, first we will need more information about your history, Have you been to see a urologist at all? Being a cybercondriac is never a good thing, it is always best to consult with a doctor regarding health issues, to much can be taken out of text when online and not all sites are knowledgable about diseases.

What exactly were you looking online for when you foudn information on Peyronies Disease? I have sent you a private message with useful links for the forum please read it and follow the links for more information. Ask questions so we can help.

well Ive had the occasional hourglassing my entire life and I never thought anything of it. I looked it up and now im terrified its peyronies. I thought I found plaque and went to my dr and told him everything. he checked and said it was a vein and after some digging I found that out myself... Im just so scared. I am only 23

No one on this forum can reassure you it is not Peyronies or it is.
I just want to say that what you see as hourglass may be nothing at all. You also say it is your only symptom.
I think you are a hypochondriac, to make you relax (maybe) you should see a real Peyronies specialist.
In my opinion, go out, live your life as best as you can, forget about it. Be just careful not to bend it during sex. :)

Occasionally when my penis is flaccid it aches.. same with my testicles. Usually when I think about it.

I would not trust the "it's a vein" theory. Penile damage can cause veins to get larger. I'm 28 now and mine went into the active phase at your age. Started with mild hinging and hour glassing. The good news is that I've basically removed the hourglassing entirely. Read up and don't worry. Be very gentle with your penis. There are a lot of things you can do to help yourself if it get's worse. Don't ignore it!
