Hello everyone, this is my first post, thanks to all for the support and info in this community. I've been reading a lot of posts since I started to fight Peyronies.
I am 64. I had a difficult sexual relationship for 30 years with my wife ( I loved her a lot but sex was hard for her, easy for me). 9 years ago she started developing Alzheimer's. One of the first things to go was sex. I became her caretaker as her condition worsened. So for 8 years I had the triple stress of losing my lover, losing my best friend little by little, and becoming a full time caretaker. In January (2015) I  finally moved her into a nursing home. Since then I have recovered a lot, my stress is way down and my general health is very good. I noticed my Peyronie's about 3 years ago but didn't care much because I didn't think I would ever have another lover.  Two months ago I started seeing a woman that I am now head over heels in love with. She totally turns me on but sex is nearly impossible.  She is kind and supportive but this is devastating to me. Until I stopped having sex with my wife, I had always had strong, easy erections. I have I initially had about a 45 degree bend and hourglass shape in penis. Since January I've been doing some intermittent heat treatments, intestinal cleansing, and telomere supplements. My curve is better, about 30 degrees, the hourglass is barely noticeable, and obvious plaque lumps are gone. My penis is noticeably smaller in length and girth from what it once was. In the last year my erections have gotten weaker and weaker to the point that I can barely get inside her and then lose it altogether after a short time. I feel a lot of sexual energy (minimal erection) with her to the point that I get a mild case of blue balls from just being with her for a day. Is this kind of erection diminishment common with Peyronie's? Is it possible to recover enough to have normal sex? Any other suggestions? I'm starting a supplement protocol based on suggestions in this forum. Also continuing with heat, getting a VED, and seeing a urologist soon. Unfortunately, I live on Kauai and don't expect to find much expertise in our small community.  Are there any recommended urologists anywhere in Hawaii?
Blessings and thanks to you all,
Kauai Man

The experience you describe really makes Peyronie's seem like a meaningless thing to even waste one's thoughts on. I can't say much but wow what a thing to go through.

While I'm only 28, I have been dealing with this disease for almost 10 years if I really trace it back to the beginning of my symptoms. It's occupied my mind like a plaque and sent me into some very scary times. I will give you my advice and answer your question.

Peyronie's does cause erection quality to get worse, and vice versa, meaning that if you have poor erection quality due to age, unhealthy lifestyle choices etc, Peyronie's and general fibrosis of the penis becomes more likely. It's a dual relationship, and it's important to know that Peyronie's has the genetic factor, but also can happen due to injury and simply poor penile health. You could have a little bit of both.

Because of this it's best to treat both erection quality and Peyronie's as somewhat the same thing. Increased nitric oxide to the penis helps prevent fibrosis. The supplements we take here help a guy with weak erections and Peyronie's. Basically anything that helps your penis health should help your Peyronie's too, at least in my opinion.

I would highly recommend traction. It's still the only treatment I swear by, and the only treatment that gives me visible results nearly instantly. It's straightened out my penis a lot over the years and now I'm doing quite well. Read up on traction and the supplements available, as well as drugs that will help you. Be VERY careful with traction or you will be very sorry.

Citrulline 2g a day, CoQ10 400mg a day, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, things that boost nitric oxide other than Citrulline, like beet root or grapeseed/pinebark extract, ginseng, all that stuff, and then exercise. As for drugs, low dose Cialis is just great, and pentox might be a good option for you.

Be careful with the VED and stop if you have any minor stinging, pinching, or anything. I ruined myself permanently two years ago with a VED even when using it "properly" from my perspective.

It's definitely possible to recover enough to have normal sex. There are a lot of things you can do so stay positive! Don't take it seriously, laugh at it and don't let it dictate your sex with that new woman. Good luck!

Just one sentence:
Did you try Viagra for sex? You may want to start with 25 mg.

I read a really positive post on L-arginine and Propolis producing strong erections. I looked up Propolis and found this:
"Propolis is a natural aphrodisiac and it has a great use for the male sexual apparatus. Indeed recent research has shown that it largely corrects the curvature of the penis, eliminating fibrosis responsible for penile curvature." comments? Anyone had benefit from this? I suspect that somewhat larger than suggested doses might be necessary to help Peyronies Disease (?)

I'm starting with basic supplements first CoQ10 4, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, L-arginine, considering Pentox. Tomorrow I'm asking for a referral to a urologist but we only have one on Kauai and I don't know how knowledgeable he will be about Peyronies Disease.

Old Man is our resident expert on VED.  The key is patience and do NOT over pump.  It is possible to injure yourself with one.  The proper method is expand the tissue up to the point where any farther and you will feel discomfort...relax it...expand it again...repeating this for 20 or so cycles each session.  Do a session or two daily for a while.  The purpose is to stretch the plaque after softening it with the various prescription and non prescription supplements.

This differs from the use of a VED with a "cock ring" to attain and maintain an erection for sex, but even in that use over pumping is hazardous.
