Hi,

I have a four months Peyronie's in acute phase, 50-60º bent upwards and started noticing a slight bent to the right. Went to the first two urologists in the last days. Peyronie's confirmed, the plaque in the right side of the penis slightly bigger that the left.

First urologist: Pentoxifilin 3 x 400 mg a day, every 8 hours. 3 months.
                    L-Arginine  2 x 1000 mg a day, separately. 3 months.

Second urologist: Auxina A+E forte 1 per day (every dose: vitamin E, 100mg; vitamin A, retinol, 50000 IU = 15 mg). 1 month.

I was thinking on doing all three treatments together, but finally I will start with pentox and L-arginine. I am worried there might be interactions between those and Auxina, so first I will informe myself better and maybe tell the first urologist what does he think about it (he didn't seem to be very pleased to argue about options. We was positive about xiaflex, but it won't be in europe until april, he said).

I'll be reporting on this.

You got an urologist that prescribes Pentox and L-Arginine that according to leading US urologists and many forum members are the ABC of Peyronies treatment. Why not just add to that low dose Cialis and VED and see the results in 3 months as the uro said?

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.

Thx, James.

I am currently gathering information about Cialis. I may go to the urologist, show him some publications:
The role of PDE5 inhibitors in penile septal scar remodeling: assessment of clinical and radiological outcomes.
Chronic daily tadalafil prevents the corporal fibrosis and veno-occlusive dysfunction that occurs after cavernosal nerve resection.
and ask him about his opinion. I do not have ED, in fact I wake up frequently (almost once per night) due to erections with some pain, then relax and let the erection go down, and go back to sleep.

I do recall the urologist said that in his opinion traction devices were of no help, that there was no solid foundation supporting them. He was young (around 35) and seemed aware of late publications. I have to admit that I am quite scared about touching anything down there, as it hurts when getting erections and even a bit when touching. Anyway I need to read more on the subject.

I also visited another urologist who prescribed vitamin A and vitamin E, but I am not taking them.

Besides that I am 10 days doing pentox + l-arginine, getting used to the routine. I have some leg weakness at night, wonder if it is related to the medication. Also I have a bit stomach pain, which by what i have read, it is probably due to it.

My upward curvature is almost 60º, and 10º to the right. No major change from the beginning. I do not expect any change before at least a month, so I just try to be patient.

The symptoms you are described can be Pentox related.
To eliminate the leg weakness at night, you should be active in the day, I mean walking.
Regarding the stomach problem, take Pentox always with meal and not later than 6 PM

Thx, James,

my urologist prescribed 3 Pentox per day, every 8 hours, so I take the last between 10 and 11, and go to sleep around 12. Do you think it makes any difference to take it before and not wait for the 8 hours?

I was taking Pentox at 6 AM, 12 noon and 6 PM to reduce the side effects, mentioning again, always with meals. Sometimes at 7 PM.
Ask your uro if have difference.

I have dinner at 10 and take the pill right after, but I guess i'll have dinner sooner to have a better sleep.

By the way, has anyone had any skin side effect while on Pentox (like dry skin)?

Traction is probably the only thing that viably produces results for me, though you should be somewhat consistent. I haven't done traction for nearly 7 months now due to some lifestyle changes but the previous years of manual traction really smoothed out my original bend. I'm about to start again on a regular basis.

Thx, NeoV,

how much did your curvature reduce? when you stopped traction did you notice any increase in curvature over time?
