Hello, my name is Mike. It's been about a year since initial signs of Peyronie's disease, which for me was swelling and curvature. Leading up until that moment the previous months were rough. I am 20 years old now (19 when it happened), I am (or was) extremely active prior to injury, I ride BMX and work construction so my body gets out to use on a regular basis, sometimes to the extreme. I had 2 incidents within a month, and the month prior to figuring out, or possibly causing, my Peyronies Disease, on my bike. One I fell between my seat and tire and felt my penis get sucked in and smashed between a really inflated tire and metal frame. The other on I fell and the bike went horizontal and I landed on the peg in my "taint" area(the area behind testicles and before butthole). Both hurt extremely. Also within that month, me and my girlfriend were having rather rough sex had a really bad slip, I think I was unable to finish due to slipping. No signs after that of Peyronies Disease. One random day after masturbation my penis was swollen like a balloon. I I immediately freaked out and after a day or 2 went to the ER. They said it was bruised but never mention peyronies. After a few weeks I went to a Clinic I would frequent. Doctor said peyronies, gave me certain inflammation medicine, nothing special but forgot the name. Now here I am a year later still swollen, can't ride my bike or de even half of the physical activities I used due to fear and pain. Fear of more inflammation. My penis is no where near inflamed as it was when it initially happened but is still inflamed and bothers me every single day a great deal. It's caused extreme amounts of stress. I don't want to say and or a admit I'm depressed, but this "disease" is really getting to me. I'm constantly at fear at work of having to do something that'll stress out that area like bouncing area in a machine or having to lean up against it. I am still sexually active, I do have curvature but can still have sex so that's relieving for myself. I don't know how anybody lives with this disease, I have no health insurance and lay out of pocket every time I visit the urologist. I just at least want the inflammation to go away so I could go back to a normal life. Just looking for advice to get through this.

Did you have any ultra sound at the time?  We're you seen by an urologist? Did you experience loss of erection when you slipped having sex? Did you heard any cracking sound any time? How about your erections, are they still strong as they used to be? Are you suffering from e.d?

You need a specialist in treatment.  You have definitely injured your member, and it will not likely fix itself.  There are many varieties to penile injury which are considered Peyronie's, and each type of injury will require a treatment plan.  Read up here and see what seems to fit your situation so that when you get to talk to a specialize you can know what is being talked about.

Don't get too caught up in the "treatment" options discussed here just yet, as it sounds like your injury might be complex.

Good luck.

Look into Pentoxofyline (Pentox) for the inflammation.

I have no had an ultra sound, yes seen by a urologist. No loss of erection, still fully functional, if anything I get more frequent erections than before, due to less sex and masturbation, due to fear of pain and worsening my condition. When I slipped no loss of erection, and no cracking sound that I noticed. And my erections are just as strong as before.

I'm alittle over a month in on Pentox but the generic brand. Extremely slight improvement if any. Possibly just wishful thinking. Thank you though!

Benefit from Pentox may take six months to manifest well.  Be patient.

So again, I work constitution. Lately I've been running a piece of heavy equipment.  I do feel discomfort due to bouncing around. And sometimes notice slightly MORE swelling, but it goes away as I start to walk around. It looks as if i was starting to get an erection and it's just filled with blood. Can running this equipment make me worse? Should I find a new job?  Thank you everybody for your concerns and answering my questions. Again I'm really young (soon to be 21) and I'm terrified of this whole thing.
