I want to expand my treatment program by including TV iontophoresis. First, are there any well-established guidelines for iontophoresis TV such as dosage voltage...? I've been on 400x3 pentox  x coq10 300mg daily for six weeks and have not seen any noticable improvements. What kind of specialist can offer this type of service?

I can almost promise you that six weeks of Pentox is not going to produce measurable improvement. Pentox is a long haul, not a sprint.

As to Iontophoresis, I don't think you'll find too many (any?) reports of it actually doing much on these forums. I tried, at significant expense, and found no benefit. I believe the doctor's name was George Carroll in Orlando. He sells you the machine, prescribes the meds - it's very expensive. I'm not recommending him, as I got no results, but providing his name in case you want to go that route.

Best of luck,

If you are familiar with electronics easily do himself iontophoresis device. It consists of a battery 12 to 15VDC and current source (my of 1-8mA) regulated. The problem is with electrode on the penis, which need to buy. Look at the forum is somewhere description of this test.
From what I remember 3mA was applied for 20 minutes to 10 mg Verapamil.

I would strongly recommend against anyone who is not well learned on electronics/electrical matters attempting to build an iontophoresis machine themselves.  Even with an expensive name brand machine I purchased, at one point something went wrong and I got a nasty, deep tissue burn on my thigh, where one of the electrodes was attached. It never "hurt," it was a slow tingling that I ignored for several minutes, only to realize that I was being burned. Took many months for the scar to eventually go away.

Had that been my penis, and not my thigh, I shudder to think of the damage it would have caused.

I write for those who are able to reassemble a simple electronic circuit even on the prototype board instead of pay much for it. As You wrote even using the device from the manufacturer does not relieve us from thinking and knowledge of technology, which we intend to apply. So RTFM man :-).

Don't presume that I wasn't "thinking," didn't read the manual, or attached the device incorrectly. The burn I suffered occurred after several months of every-other-day usage.  The machine malfunctioned, not the operator.

Damage at iontophoresis can happen to You without fault of the operator and equipment. If the electrode will be located over the acupuncture point at this point the skin has much less resistance and all the current will flow through the small space of this point causing damage to the skin.
