:-\  Hi my name is Richard - 50 years old
Quite alot of health probs, (diabetes type 2), (cervical spinal stenosis / myelopathy), osteoarthritis, depression, constant headaches, fibromyalgia, numeroues limits with stiff muscles, constant tinnitus, about 1/3 of my previous strength, prob got liver and gall bladder probs, false hypos wih diabetes, high blood pressure, umbilicle hernea, neuropathy, etc etc etc etc  too fat, struggle with a lot and health care here in the UK is crap, and im not working, dont have any money, single, pissed off and to top it all of years of lessening feeling in my penis, last November it decided to bend to the left, lose more feeling, and it scared me - I cant get a proper erection in fact cant even masturbate properly..very pissed off
I usually go drastically downhill in winter, eat worse, gain weight and generally sink into a hole till Summer, I do get an occasional day when I might potter about, but as a 50 year old, im less active and able to be active and less healthy than my Dad who is 70 shortly

My penis has various lumps along the shaft and kinks left and now bends downwards..,

yes life is crap but im 4 stone lighter than 18 months ago and I can actually get upstairs without the agony in my feet (plantar fasciitis), i was popping all sorts of meds and sleeping 16 hours a day...so i dumped the lot..started on iodine, sodium bicarbonate, and various other bits, cancelled 3 operations,,
im still 136kg but better than 160kg...if it wasnt for constant headaches similar to migraines I have had for years and my depression, I could do more..yeah im trapped..and have self pity, and no partner,,,
ive just ordered some DMSO and other bits... Yes I said no money..I did have some savings and will shortly have to use food banks again, might just get a lottery ticket first
I still laugh and feel like im running out of time, i fell into my old trap of smoking which i have hopefully stopped as of now

Our Drs here blame everything on being fat or being diabetic, and we get nowhere...i have at least 10 seperate paths of crap going on..started from childhood antibiotics, years of bad diet / knowledge..back and neck injuries... and cos I manage they fob me off, I cannot remember if its about 25 years now since ive woke up with only a small amount of pain, but cant remember how long since I woke up with no pain at all..
Anyway while typing this i remember, even 20 years ago I was losing feeling in the tip or my penis and had poor circulation, I cant even wear a normal T Shirt as that makes headaches worse through nerves in my neck and shoulders..so excuse my "pissed off" attitude..
I think that will do for now, and if anyone read this thats cool, cos i cant even get the energy to read through crap like this...and that winds me up cos I like to help people, but at the moment not one single person understands my whole health issue...and to be honest ive had enough..but something just keeps me from giving up

Cheers I need a drink _ and no i hardly drink either now !  :o
You know summat im scared - Thanks

At least in the UK you have free health care. I know NHS is not the ideal one, but it is one of the main reasons why so many foreigners are flocking to the UK.
I am proposing you to read on the forum before you are spending your money, for example we have very few success stories using DMSO with whatever.
Now sincerely, you should take seriously the weight loss. I was 98 Kg, I am now 75, (tall 180 cm) feel much better, including my Peyronies problems. I don't know how tall you are so I can't say how much weight you have to lose. I am sure being in the correct place will help you a lot with most of your problems.
Also start spending some time on the forum to lear more about Peyronies, a good start will be here:

You shouldn't need me to tell you that the Doctor's have a point. I strongly suspect most of your problems are down to you physical and mental condition.

There are strong links between Type 2 Diabetes and Peyronies, so that may well be a major contributing factor. You need to see a Urlogist ASAP. Ask for an introduction to one who specialises in treating Peyronies. If you don't get it treated, your condition will likely worsen.

You've done well to get your weight down as far as you have, but James is right, you need to lose more. I don't know your height and build, but 136kgs is pretty much 300ibs!  Unless you're a very big guy, that's way too much still.

Most of this is in your hands. But, get to the doctor, ask for an introduction to a Urologist, and read as much as you can here about the disease before your appointment. There is more knowledge about the disease here than is possessed by 99% of Urologists.

Hi Richard,
I feel for you, I really do.
I've had on and off mental and physical health issues all of my life and it is extremely hard to deal with.
When I lived in the UK I was able to get a lot of psychological help (lots of family history of mental health issues, so perhaps it was easier for me). From what I gather, people are currently given an allotted six sessions, or something, on the NHS - clearly not enough for most people. To me you sound as though some psychological help (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy was the one that did most for me) might allow you to deal with your physical health issues in a different way and improve your quality of life.
My advice would be to approach both at the same time (physical and mental), without overloading yourself, of course. I've been recently diagnosed with Peyronie's (and a number of other illnesses) and last night I had a bit of a crisis but my mental health 'training' allowed me to get through the night and to feel a bit better this morning. I'm not delighted with my situation but I don't feel my world has completely collapsed.
I don't know if you've had any psychological help on the NHS but all I can say is insist, insist, insist. I was referred relatively easily once my GP understood that this was what I needed. Maybe your GP is so caught up with your physical health that the mental has been neglected?
The mind and body are so connected and a two-pronged approach may be what you need. Never be ashamed to ask for mental health care if that is what's holding you back - it's just as important as physical and I don't think you can always treat one without the other.
I hope I've not hammered on too much about mental health but, whilst it may not 'cure' all physical ailments, being in a better place mentally can certainly be of major benefit.

The diabetes is a symptom of other problems, and yes diet and exercise which im doing, with false hypos and big swings in hunger for different foods down to chemical imbalances, dependent on time of year too..very depressed too, and even worse the meds i got for diabetes make me worse..I have asked several times for insulin but been refused...all they wanted was to do bariatric surgery, bypass the gall bladder (which we need), the back injuries and spinal stenosis also affect how all organs work, so no matter what diet you do or try exercise, I will still have underlying problems, which will not change..
Even operating on my spine will not work, cos all they do is join bones together which moves the problem along, though they might call an operation a success, they rarely will get rid of problems. So its basically keep doing what i have though with spinal stenosis etc, my conditions are expected to worsen....am I giving up ? NOPE
Thanks for the input

Thanks Michael
Ive had CBT and various courses for stress management etc...
Ive been depressed from being 7 years old, with child abuse etc, and years of bullying.. I am now over that as of the last 4 months, but it changes personalities ... and how you view yourself, and that will take time to slip away if it ever does..
I appreciate all replies here, and can see all sides..at the moment im taking it easy to keep reducing stress...partly cos I may have a cortisol - insulin problem, I cant take a single track, it has to be sort of 6 at once...foods, sleep, exercise, minerals, acupuncture, painkillers, etc etc..
thanks again

With 180 cm, you should be 75 - 80 kg if large boned, 70 - 74 kg if small boned.
You have still a long way to go. :) What I can promise you, from my own experience, when you will get to the numbers above, many health issues will change is the good direction.
Don't make any drastic fast weight loss. Those are loss of a lot of water and are coming back. between 1/2 and one Kg per week is the best. To do that, just reduce the daily food quantity. :)
Don't kill yourself with gym. After workout you will feel very hungry, and it will be difficult to reduce the food quantity. Moderation is the key. :)
