Hey Gents, so am in month 4 of trying to get through Peyronie's and was wondering if anyone has had success or know of someone where a substantial recovery to pre-peyronie's has been achieved.  I read about 15pct of time the condition resolves itself and the optimist in me wants to know if anyone has positive stories about their progress?  I'm sure there's a bit of a negative selection bias in that if we were back to normal we might not spend as much time on this site!  But figured I'd post the question.  Good luck to all.

Spontaneous resolution of the diseeas is rare. If you have been diagnosed, begin attacking it now. The earlier this is dealt with the better.

Until you will get a concrete answer to your question, proposing you to invest time and read the forum.
You will find many success stories (also many not successful ones)
Also what will be a success story for you?
Complete recovery to the before Peyronies situation? Partial recovery/improvements?
Also the 15% of Peyronies resolve itself have no any research base, but it gives some good feeling, maybe I belongs to this lucky 15%?  :)

Melktest,

After pentox for 8 months and the passage of time (several years) I have enjoyed significant improvement to the point where I am 95% of what I was pre-peyronie's. My girlfriend said that she would not have noticed had I not told her about it and our sex life is fantastic. Deformity is minor and functioning is excellent. I do have a slight loss of sensation, but that's not always a bad thing as it means I can last longer.

The pentox really seemed to shrink the size of the plaques. They are still there and I can feel them, but they are not causing severe problems.

I am aware that this can worsen at any time for no reason at all. I am careful during sex and have a plan if I do get re-injured. I am thankful for what I've got every day.

Skjaldborg, that's very helpful and I'm happy to hear.  Something that I grapple with is whether I will psychologically baseline to where I am now so that any improvement will eventually be seen as a good thing rather than perpetually comparing to "before".  I hear you on the loss of sensation having a potentially positive side-effect.  How about on the virility?  Do you take cialis / arginine?  What have you found most useful on that end, I'm guessing the "not thinking about it" factor is part of it, but I do genuinely miss the confidence and lack of thought.  Thanks for the input!

Melktest,

I was lucky in that ED was not part of my Peyronie's symptoms. I did take l-arginine for awhile but did not go the cialis/viagra route. "Not thinking about it" is part of it, but having an understanding partner is key too. My overall health and strength are better than when I was diagnosed so I feel more attractive in general, which helps put Peyronie's on the back burner. It may be difficult or impossible to be exactly where my penile health was before my injury, but I can improve other aspects of my life.
