Link between Xiaflex injection for Dupuytren's Contracture & Peyronies?

In late December I got an injection of Xiaflex for Dupuytren's in my left hand, the noticed about a month later that my erection seemed to curve right - I didn't think much of it until yesterday when I noticed it again and grew concerned.  I found out about Peyronies and this site as a result of that concern.  I understand the link between the two conditions, but I find it an unusual coincidence that the Peyronies showed up after the injection.  Is there any evidence that there is a link between the two?  (I'm thinking the cells that were broken up in my hand may have traveled to my penis...)

I don't know about any documented cause of Peyronies triggered by Xiaflex for Dupuyten's in the hand, but have many things I don't know.
It is sounds also not logic.

Thanks for your reply - it was a stream of consciousness thought...

Duputren's does seem to defy logic.
I injured my right hand and got dupytren's in both.
There does seem to be a link between dupytrens, peyronie's, ledderhose, rounded shoulders and hypodontia (Teeth completely missing).
I have all of these but ledderhose.
I was getting pain in my feet but I have held the condition off with my own treatments.

I did actually after all have an ongoing infection in my mouth, nasal passages and inner ear for years which was dismissed by doctors.
However after 23 years I managed to get treated with an antibiotic which cleared this infection up.
It was not a bad infection but caused dizziness and balance problems. This made my life hell.
I went to A&E and was given one weeks supply of Augmentin. An enhanced penicillin.
This releived my symtoms but they returned after a month. One week is too short, two weeks is the recommended minimum course by the NHS here in the UK.
I fought to get a two week course and am now free of dizzy spells or balance problems.
Having complained of feeling unwell for many years this was a relief.
My hearing has permanent damage with tinitus now due to this previously undiagnosed infection.

The infection was chronic but had few symptoms other than flakey skin inside my cheeks and the sinus/ balance problems.
This infection might have been the trigger for peyronie's.
And could well have travelled around my body in the blood causing inflammation.
It goes to show that although infection was ruled out by doctors they were all wrong.
As for the cause of Peyronie's this could have been it.
Infections are known to target very specific parts of the body.
I am feeling very well now but still have the damage caused.
Is there a genetic link? Possibly. Is there a familial link? Quite possibly. The majority of our suceptability to illnesses seems to be due to our personal bacterial makeup.  Bacteria are passed on at birth and added to in our family environment.  See the TED lecture on YouTube by Rob Knight titled ' How our microbes make us who we are'
Genetics play a small part while our microbial population has much greater effect.
Epigenetics plays a much larger role than genetics.
It appears if you have good epigenetics and a good microbe population your genetics make little difference.
I now have no ongoing inflammation within my body and my arthritis is almost gone.
I use supplements, diet and exercise. But without the antibiotic treatment it would be to no avail.
My peyronies damage is still there by my dupytren's is clearing up.
