Hi guys,

Quick introduction - I'm 29 years old and currently 8 months into my adventure with Peyronies Disease (since spotting symptoms and being diagnosed 6 months ago). This forum has been a Godsend to me, from a support point of view as well as a resource so thanks to everyone involved in creating and contributing to such an incredibly useful site.

Current symptoms:

30 degree upward curve which seems to be slowly increasing
Plaques near the glands, some painful to touch some not.
Painful erections from the beginning, especially masturbation/sex. Pain has gone from 6 to 5 since starting the meds listed below two months ago but still persists

The continual erection pain is the main worry for me as it has been impossible to get intimate with the missus, which will put a strain on any relationship.

After reading reviews on PTT I am strongly considering it - especially as I am still in the acute phase - but wondered if there are any advantages over simple regular natural erections? As far as I understand it the basic idea is to simply get blood flowing to break down the plaque? I experience NTE's frequently on these meds and get it up during the day where I can without masturbation. I can do this relatively pain free so wondered if PTT would provide any advantages over my current strategy..

Many thanks again.

Traction and natural erections are not comparable. They do different things in a different way.

There might be some validity to comparing VED therapy with natural erections, but none to comparing it to traction.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

Your actual treatment supposes to arrest the progression of the disease.
Persistence is the key for success, don't expect fast results.
Regarding Traction and/or VED, they will be a good addition to the treatment in my opinion, if used carefully.

Thanks guys, I did mean VED but got the two terms mixed up. Apologies.

Worryingly I've developed a larger, more painful lump under the plaques which is causing me shooting pains urinating. It doesn't feel like the other plaques as it's much larger and softer. Anyway hopefully the pain will subside again then I'll try the VED. Don't worry I won't expect instant results :)

Thanks again.

VED erections for me are straighter than natural erections.  45 degrees to about 20-25.

I have never experienced significant pain so can't say if VED erections are less painful.
