I understand there are no 100% answers when it comes to peyronies, but given this, ABOUT how many people have pain during the acute phase? From what i understand it's usually common.

Is it semi-safe to assume that if i have a very very minor curve and a small plaque with a barely noticeable change in erection about 2-3 months after an injury with also NO pain that my peyronies (if i have it. i went to a doctor and he didn't look at me but he does specialize in peyronies. he didn't look because he stated" everything you describe sounds like it and the drugs for it are safe anyways" )  probably won't get very bad as an end result..?

Your assumption in your post bellow is completely wrong!!!
I had no pain, very small plaques, minor curve (less than 10 degree) no change in erection quality after 3 months,
No treatment for 3 years and ended up with:
Severe left bend, severe upward curve, 3 hourglasses, big calcified plaques.
Lost 6.5 cm length, 1/2 of my girth, severe ED.

James
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.

Is it semi-safe to assume ...

No, it is not. The disease is different for everyone here. Your post is actually asking 2 questions:

1. Approximately how many people have pain during the acute phase?

&

2. If I don't have pain now does that mean this won't get worse.

You can find the answers to # 1 by searching for "pain" using the search function on our forum, reading the results and then dividing the number of people who reported pain with the total number of respondents. This will give you a percentage. You can also google search for studies that may report how many men report pain with Peyronie's.

As for #2, there is no way to know. As James mentioned, he had no pain but did indeed have worsening symptoms. Other men noticed severe curvature with no pain at all. There is no single answer as to why this is.

notscared, I know why you are asking these questions. I was in your shoes once too, worrying every day if this was going to get worse. Funny thing is, worrying won't change a thing. What you can do is take care of yourself, use the oral meds and VED treatments that are discussed on our forum, and educate yourself on the disease. That last part means you will have to do the legwork by yourself. Use the search function, get friendly with google, ask the forum if you really get stuck.

James, do you think if you IMMEDIATELY started pentox and a few other meds you would've had very very minor changes as opposed to what happened to you?

james1947

My answer, based on the forum experience, is definitely yes!!!
Including VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis and Ubiquinol (CoQ10 for younger people).

So you believe that if you would've started a few or all of those you would've had a tremendous improvement compared to what happened? I know this is just semantics and obviously just guessing but do you think there would've been barely change at all essentially if you started everything you stated immediately?

Can only really answer with personal opinion, but I think if I hadn't got on treatments so quickly I would have been in a worse position now.

I don't know about 'barely any change at all' but it is a pretty safe bet that it would be an improved situation for James with earlier intervention.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

My answer to your last question is in my previous answer!!!
And I will say again, I don't have any doubt  that may situation was much better if I was started the treatment early.
My opinion, again.
