Carpenter

Hi, I m Carpenter. I was diagnosed with peronies 16 years ago by a Urologist who didn't offer many answers. I haven't sought any recent medical help as its been my impression that there is very little that has been successful in treating this condition. When this first showed up I went through a period of intense pain during intercourse, displaying somewhat of a curvature, with detectible lumps of plaque in the penis. The pain grew to the point that extreme discomfort was present even when the penis was flaccid. Not getting any real help from the Dr. I tried to the pain myself with little success (mostly hot and cold packs, and massage). What finally worked was applying an electric back massager to the penis. I experienced immediate relief and the progression of the disease stopped. Where it left me was with a considerably smaller size during and erection. The reason I am on this site is to find out if there are any new treatments that have been working to return your penis' size to original. I have heard on other sites that using a VED has had some success. Can anyone here tell of any positive results they have had and what they were using?

Carpenter, welcome.  And interesting approach with the back vibrator!

I don't mean to be inhospitable as you are new, but this forum is literally stacked like cord wood with members' accounts of their VED usage, traction, etc. Your first post essentially invites all these people to once again recount their history, which is tiresome for us and only fills up more space on the servers. I'd humbly suggest you use the search function and you will literally pull up enough material for a year's worth of reading!

Best of luck to you - the short answer is yes, some have had some success regaining length and girth lost to Peyronie's through the use of VED and/or traction. You'll find all their stories on here in various places.

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

Thank you for your response Nemo. After looking more thoroughly through the site I see that there are numerous references to VEDs. I believe this may be my next step and would like to figure out if there is a particular product which works better than others or if there is one to avoid. The massager was a desperation effort and seems to have worked. Unfortunately, follow up uses do not show any reversal of the disease's progress.

Carpenter, I'd be highly surprised if the massager had anything to do with the improvement you enjoyed. Peyronie's has been known to take a turn for the better entirely on its own. I can't imagine what in the world vibration would have done to benefit the reduction of collagen scarring other than perhaps stimulate better blood flow into the penis, but hey ... who knows?

Peyronie's is so random, we look for patterns where we can find them, real or imagined. Over time here, you see guys touting any given supplement or food item or tool or trick they happened to be practicing at the moment they realized some improvement, and then they sing the praises of this particular item almost to the exclusion of all others. It's completely understandable because, as I say, we're so desperate to find some rhyme or reason, we grab at the first pattern we see ... but again, sometimes that "pattern" is sheer coincidence.

"Old Man" here is the VED guru - he'll be glad to advise you models, I'm sure.
