Noticed curvature a few months ago, also somewhat reduced dimensions.  After seeing urologist to confirm my GP's guess of Peyronies, started noticing more difficulty getting fully inflated and harder to reach the end goal during sex.  I am 62, curvature came on rather quickly, about 30 degrees upward but not seeming to change now.  Urologist says just take coQ-10 for 9-12 months and let it resolve.  He was rather rough with my guy in illustrating the mechanics.  So I am unhappy and worried that I have a urologist the is not interested.  Is there anybody from Oregon (Portland area preferred) getting treatment they are happy with from a urologist or other professional?  Thanks...

There is a list of well regarded Urologists here on the site.

Re the guy you have seen. Unfortunately, they do exist. urologists who either have very limited knowledge, or don't take this seriously.

If Peyronies has been diagnosed, younshould have an ultrascan to establish the extent of the plaque and if there is any calcification.

At your age, and assuming you can afford it, Ubiquinol would be more effective than CoQ10. I would also add Citrulline Malate, ALC, low dose Cialis. I would also ask your future Urlogist for a prescription for Pentoxyffline, if he doesn't suggest it. It is considered to be the best oral treatment for the disease.

All these things you can read about here on the site.

You have indeed an urologist that is not interest or is not competent.
At your age you should take Ubiquinol and not CoQ10 as Jonbinspain has stated. Our body uses Ubiquinol and the body capability to convert the CoQ10 to Ubiquinol is degrading after the age of 40.
Pentox with low dose Cialis has proven to arrest and even reverse the Peyronies symptoms.
I am proposing you also to check out VED therapy.

Many thanks james1947 and Jonbinspain.

I like your advice very much, but I don't know how to find a Urologist in my state of Oregon, USA that will see me and will treat me with this type of treatment.  The doctors listed at this forum all seem to be very far away.  Should I post under a different board to get more exposure to other members of this forum?

Thanks, Bruce
