I hope I put this in the right topic it's confusing on where to find things and under what topics they'll be under.

But I'm noticing my nocturnal erections and morning erections are shorter/not as strong/big as the nocturnal erections and morning wood I use to get. But manual hand stimulation (masturbatiing) seems to be the only thing that brings my penis back to its previous size, however that's only right when I'm at orgasm or very near it. Since I can get back to my full normal length very briefly with physical hand stimulation, I guess this means I haven't "really" experienced shortening do to peyronies? (assuming I have it) or do the weaker smaller nocturnal erections mean I'm experiencing so called shortening?

What does this sound like to you guys any ideas? Is this something someone with peyronies goes through? Any help on shortening or any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

What you are describing it seems shortening on the way:
QuoteI can get back to my full normal length very briefly with physical hand stimulation
The point is the "very briefly". I suppose in the past it was at full length and strong before and during intercourse, now is not.
Any how, this what happened to me until slowly slowly lost 2"&1/2.

James, can you explain more on shortening on the way? In the past I would always have to do a strong kegel in order to get full inflation but I wouldn't have to necessarily be near orgasm to see it. Now it seems orgasm or near it when masterbating is the only time I am fully aroused/hard. Is this how shortening starts?

My stretched flaccid length is still the same though as what my normal full erection is. Did your stretched length also get shorter? Does shortening also happen with the stretched penis length in peyronies disease? Any experience or info on this would be appreciated

nemo

If your stretched flaccid is still full length, that means you've still got it, you're just not getting as good erections as you used to. If you had scarring causing shortening, you couldn't stretch to you full length - or if you did, it would hurt.

Have you tried any of the ED drugs?

I will try to answer as best as I can.
1. Shortening on the way progressed slowly during 3 years together with an up banana shape and a left bend close to the base.
The end was lose of 2"&1/2 and 50% of the girth. When erected, can see the huge difference between the base bellow the bend
and above. Got back 1/2" length and some girth, lets say now the lost girth is 40% with mainly VED, Pentox and low dose Cialis.
2. Before the fracture I had rock hard erections (age 60+) if no sex for 2-3 days. It started to diminish slowly, first symptom was
not fully erect before close to ejaculation. This sometimes happening also today, but can't have sex without 25 or 50 mg Viagra.
I can't say for sure that this how shortening started, but I think so.
3. Yes, the stretched length got also shorter, same as the erect one. It happens with Peyronies, I suppose with anything else also
   that causing penile shortening.
I don't want to scare you, but if you have Peyronies, you should start treatment as soon as you can to stop the progression and even reverse the symptoms.

Nemo,

yes I have took real viagra before, recreationally. At the time I was having ed problems in the past (not sure if it was psychological or physical) but would get some from my mothers boyfriends script (im 28) I would usually take a viagra of 25 to 50 mg sometimes even 100 mg about once a week, sometimes twice a week, and some times once every other week. This went on for about a year. I recently stopped though, about 2 months ago because they were expensive and I didnt want to get psychologically or physically dependent on them, but I think its to late now and feel like I didn't stop soon enough. Feels like I dug myself into to deep of a hole as far as good erections are concerned.

So is that generally how it is for most people with peyronies? as far as shortening is concerned regarding the stretched flaccid legnth?

nemo

No, you didn't dig yourself into a deep hole - you're just giving into worst case thinking.  I've been there myself.  Erection quality can be very mysterious - exercise, eat right, try to stay positive, and I can practically guarantee, a young man of your age will see rock hard erections again. Don't jump right to the worst "what if?" scenario you can think of.

Where does the scaring generally have to be at in the penis for it to cause shortening in peyronies? Like, the base,  or along the dorsal, or in the corpus spongiosum, or in the glans, or in the corpus Cavernosum, or does scaring anywhere pretty much always produce shortening?

PeetyPeet

I have fibrosis / scarring in the corpus Cavernosum causing severe ED. I've experienced some shortening when flaccid (the fibrosis makes everything 'tightening up'). When erect (using Cialis of course), I think there's perhaps a little shortening but not too much (touch wood). I've perhaps lost a little girth too. The gradual onset of my condition makes these things hard to judge unfortunately.

I think the response would be almost anywhere.

The scarring keeps that area of the penis from expanding. This is what causes curving/shortening.

Hello,

What to do to stop shortening?
As I was young my penis was 18cm (7.2 ") and now it has 15cm (6").
VED should be applied to 50% erection, so how does it help in stretching?
What should I do to stop shortening my penis?
I have an hourglass and slowly I get a banana up, I also lost the periphery of the penis.
If the shortening is going to work, then if the end of the way is an implant, then it will be 12cm (about 5 ").
This is terrible! Is there a sense to wait ?!

That´s my fear too

VED helps to keep healthy blood flow to the penis, helps with hourglasses also. Gained back length and girth.
But yes, VED is not stretching the penis. You can use a traction device for stretching
