Can peyronie's occur on the base?

According to most research/websites/ studies i've read online it occurs where the penis bends upward, causing a more upward bend.

Now, i understand it can probably occur anywhere on the penis. I'm asking where does it "usually" occur. Out of all the posts on this forum, i don't think i've seen any or very few about the base. Is this a probable or likely location for it to occur? Most i see are on the sides or dorsal.

Again, what's the likelihood of the base getting peyronies (bottom of penis)?

Thisismyusername

Yes, peyronie's can occur on the under side of the penis, causing a downward curve.  I have seen many pictures of this myself.  There are some on these forums.  I do think it might be the least common direction, with upwards being most common and side being next.  But I wouldn't say it is rare.

nemo

I had a downward bend, 13 years ago, just behind the glans.  And the current nodule I have is at the base. So yes, you are correct, Peyronies Disease can and does occur anywhere on the penis. "Likelihood" that something is or isn't Peyronies Disease cannot be correlated with location.

Plaques can develop anywhere in the penis. I have seven plaques between the base of my shaft all the way to just below the glans, causing four obvious bends; 20 degrees to the right at the base, 45 degrees to the right and 25 degrees dorsal mid way, and 20 degrees ventral just below glans.

I guess what i'm asking is how likely it is that peyronies can develop on the base? Whoever said that is not relevant to peyronies or whatever i do believe it is.

I know that in most men it occurs (keyword most) on the top of the penis or on the sides. If 10 guys had peyronies how many out of those 10 would probably have it on their BASE?This is something i'm just asking for an approximate for. I'm not trying to play semantics here where the response is " can't estimate that".

Skjaldborg

Notscared,

Whether you are playing semantics or not, that question is almost impossible to answer. I doubt anyone here could answer your question to your satisfaction. You may have to do research on your own and review the literature on Peyronie's to see where scar tissue is most common.

One possible solution is to ask forum members where their plaque is located and that might give you an idea.

notscared, why don't you simply tell us the answer you want, and then I'll volunteer to come on here and deliver it as if I believe it to be true?  Clearly, you're not going to be satisfied with answers that don't align with what you want to hear.

As Skaldborg said, we can't know "how likely it is that Peyronie's can develop on the base" because we don't keep detailed statistics on every single case of Peyronie's Disease in the world.  You're welcome to try to compile this data if you wish. You just heard more than one man tell you they have Peyronies Disease in the base. Therefore, it occurs in the base. This is a fact.

If you want to play a numbers game and say "X-percent of plaques occur in places other than the base, so there's a Y-percent chance I don't have Peyronies Disease" be my guest.  I would like to think that since less than 10% of men worldwide get Peyronie's there's a 90% chance the Peyronie's I've got ain't Peyronie's, but I'm afraid my penis doesn't respond to wishful thinking (if it did, its gargantuan width would be obstructing my computer screen right now).

I recognize negotiation is one of the stages of grief, but please stop trying to negotiate the answers you want from us. We're happy to share information (as there is a wealth of experience here), but when you start questioning every answer you get, it's a bit insulting.

MisterBee

Even if it only occurred 1 in 10000 times a the base, maybe you are that one. I'm sure its much more frequent than 1 in 10000 though. Everyone suffering from this will have similarities and differences in what they experience. It sounds to me like you are having symptoms at your base and are wondering if that is a normal area to have this. Fact is it doesn't matter if that's the normal area to have symptoms. If you have them there you have them there.

Take the steps to correct your situation. Find a good doc that is interested in fixing you up. Consider supplements and correction techniques suggested by others here.

Okay, then i will ask this question-

Who here as a plaque/plaques on the VERY BOTTOM BASE of their penis causing a bend or a NOTICEABLE hourglassing/something similar.

Oy vey ...

you literally just said

"One possible solution is to ask forum members where their plaque is located and that might give you an idea."

Edit: Also, i noticed on the base of my penis if i PRESS on it.. it leaves  an hourglass but then the hourglass "fills up" it also is not very  (if noticeable at all) noticeable during erections. Does this sound like i have it on the base just based on what i said?

NeoV

I think many, many men have it at the base of their penises.. mine is mostly at the base, but not quite that far down. Still, I have a lot of issues even at the very base for some reason.

"you literally just said:'One possible solution is to ask forum members where their plaque is located and that might give you an idea.'"

No, I did not.  That was Skaldborg.  I invited you to compile data on every single case of Peyronies Disease on the planet, as that's the only way the kind of data mining you're trying to do will have any validity at all.  And somehow, I know you'd still argue the case.

Having the few guys who read this particular thread tell you where their plaque is will no more establish a relevant data set than it will tell you whether you have Peyronie's Disease or not.

You push me to the edge with not obeying the forum rules regarding quotes!!!

Same regarding explicit language!!!

Not sure why...?I came here to ask  a few questions and get help. Not for you to play semantics with me and avoid my question. It's really simple to answer and you do not need "all the information on peyronies" despite your odd belief.

nemo

What I am trying to get you to do is use your head.  You are trying to determine the probability of whether or not your symptoms are Peyronie's Disease by ascertaining how common Peyronie's plaques are at the base. This is a fact.

You are asking a very small sample of men on a forum that at any given time has a few dozen or so active participants to report where their plaques are.  This is a fact.

Of this few dozen or so, the only ones who will report in are the ones who happen to read this thread. This is a fact.

This tiny data set in comparison to the number of men who have Peyronies Disease worldwide is utterly useless to the statistical measure you're attempting to pull from it. Even more useless in determining whether you have Peyronie's.  I'm sorry, but this too is a fact.

For the good of everyone here, I'm just going to ignore you from this point forward, notscared, because it is clear you press my button of impatience, and there's no need for my futile attempts to reason with you to clutter this forum any further.

I wish you the best as you deal with whatever condition you have.

While I appreciate what other people may thing something "sounds like". If it were me I would find a doctor who specializes in Peyronies diagnosis and treatment and find out for sure. If you do have Peyronies Disease and in the base you for sure are in the minority of sufferers who have this in the base of their penis.

Is indeed a minority that have plaque in the base as LWillisjr has written bellow, sadly I am in this minority.
One of my plaques are very close to the base and he effected me most. Developed slowly and made me a very sharp bend to the left. Later developed in something like a ring around the penis.
Hope for you you don't really have a plaque there as this is one of the worst location for a plaque. It made me to lose 6.5 cm length and 1/2 of my girth, caused me severe ED.
The treatment of 3 years with VED, Pentox 18 months and low dose Cialis helped me, but not drastically.
Maybe because I didn't made any treatment for three years on the onset. Earlier you will start treatment, more chance to get results.
Everything I wrote above is from my experience and not based on any scientific research.

Hi James.

Doc just found a big plaque at the base of my penis. I have 3 plaques total, 2 on either side as well. Im scared im going to lose my penis, i have lost almost 1 inch so far and i only started with 5.5 at best. Its leaning up and left at about 30 degrees. And i see kind of a ring thing like u mentioned pain has been on and off and really not fun. I have been on pentox and cialis for almost a year
Tried stretching but it can be too painful. How long did it take for you to lose the 2 inches. If i lose over 2 that will be it for me. Also i have lost alot of sensation and a few times masturbating i did not have a full orgasm, did u experience this? I can still have solid erections mostly.

Casey, what about adding traction?  Multimodal approaches are best.

My issue is further down than the base my nodule is by the bulbos/perineum and has a slight downward curve and is tough giving support to the full erection but I am working on it day by day with a lot of supplements and true chockwave therapy.  Not Gainswave which is only acoustic wave and not shockwave.  Gainswave is a scam according to my uro.  Try UroGold 100, or Renova, or Stroz Medical, Direx, etc a true shockwave machine
