Just Received SOMAerectStf Plus (Augusta Medical 3 cylinder VED).   Got a prescription from my Urologist and medicare covered most of the cost, my co-pay was less than $45.  Make sure if your urologist gives you a prescription that it is for ED and not peyronies or Medicare will not cover any part of the cost.

The prescription was written on the 20th of October, just received my VED.  Tried initially to order from Augusta Medical, sent them the prescription and copies of my medicare cards.  After about a month they informed me I would have to go direct to my medicare provider, they could not process the order.    Did so and my provider took about a month to get it approved (needed more information from Urologist), then after it was approved it was back-ordered.  Was back-ordered for over a month, after a call from me they were able to locate one in one of their warehouses.  The prescription was for the SOMAerectStf but when I received it got the SOMAerectStf Plus, difference being the Plus has the battery pump and the manual pump (and lube included).   They probably substituted because of the long wait I experienced.   Will probably not use the battery pump.

Before starting the order/prescription my Urologist let me try a loaner single cylinder VED for a month to see if I could use it and help me decide if I wanted to order one.  Had already decided to get one after PM'ing a few times with Old Man.   Had to talk my Urologist into the 3 cylinder model, he was not even familiar with it?   When using the loaner had no problems, got it to seal with no issues (did not have to shave), pumped it until just before experience discomfort, after using it for about 3 weeks was able to pump it to about a 1/2 more length than when I started.  I tried using the ring once to keep my VED induced erection erect, did not like it, was tight and uncomfortable.  With the Cialis I'm taking do not need to use the ring

Just used the 3 cylinder model an hour ago, worked fine.   Initially thought I may not be able to use the smaller A cylinder, however, was able to use it if I was completely flaccid.  When pumped up it was snug in the cylinder, got it to pump to about 5-7/8" without feeling discomfort, additional pumps would have started the uncomfortable feeling.  With the single cylinder think it got up to about 6-1/4".   (Before peyronies I was about 7-1/4").   Thanks to a lot of reading on this forum about using the 3 cylinder model was able to assemble (3 cylinders inside each other) and use it without even reading the instructions.  The "Plus" model I received came with the battery pump as well as the manual, don't think I will even use the battery pump.  One disappointment was the SOMAerect STf did not have a measuring scale on the side, marked where my penis went for future reference.

Noticed when using the single cylinder the head of my penis would enlarge somewhat, with the smaller A cylinder it will not do that, head is snug against the cylinder, smaller size did not allow it to enlarge.   Made sure to use plenty of lube so that I could slide into the smaller cylinder when pumped up.

Also noticed even on the loaner VED single cylinder (larger Cylinder) version that the erection created with the VED was straighter than my natural erections?  Maybe only a 10-20% curve verses a 45% curve when erect naturally.  Has anyone else noticed that?

Will follow up with my progress with future posts, plan to use the 26 week protocol for 3 cylinder VED's.

Baldeagle:

I want to compliment you on your coming back on the forum with your experience with the VED therapy. Glad that you were able to get the three cylinder model and with the battery powered pump as well as the manual. You got a good bargain price as the Plus model costs more than the standard SomaSTF VED.

Your post definitely should help others who are undecided about using VED therapy to make a decision about using it.

As time goes one with the 26 week protocol you will notice many changes in the size and shape of your penis. Please keep the forum up to date on any progress that you make. Also, report any problems that arise.

Just remember that you have to control the vacuum pressure to a point that does not cause any pain or discomfort especially when using the small A cylinder. Your point about using plenty of lube is well noted and all users of VEDs should make this a priority too.

Wish you good outcome from the VED treatment. Don't forget that you are running a marathon, not a sprint.
As Old Man has written, keep us updated on the progress.
