Has anyone's girth not been affected or only very slight?

Just curious on this as I see a lot of posts saying this is affected. Is it ALWAYS affected by peyronies? Is it possible to gain a fairly noticeable amount back? What are the best methods from this aside from VED because i have no problem getting and maintaining erections.

Also, aside from a "penile fracture" what else can cause a swollen penis base on both sides (only base of penis.) after sex? Doesn't always happen. Mild to no pain with it.

VED is the only way I know of regaining lost girth. Using a vacuum pump pulls blood through tissue which doesn't always have adequate blood flow. Regular therapy helps the blood to flow more freely so that the affected areas can become engorged when you have an erection. Regular natural erections don't seem to have this effect.

Through regular VED therapy I managed to increase my girth from 50% of the original measurement to 75%.

The swelling of your penis after sex is not uncommon during an acute inflammatory stage of Peyronie's.

Welsh, so even if a young man can get a 100% natural hard erection it is not exactly the same as a VED session/ ved induced erection?

Also you mentioned the swelling i said is common during the "acute phase" however i'll give you a timeline and you can tell me what you think, cause i'm confused. And worried.

Obviously i had some sort of injury about 2 months ago. Probably during sex. The penis base swelled up just like it did right now. But at that time the swelling was gigantic and noticeable. This pales in comparison.

After about a month i saw the curve from the supposed injury. Maybe less.

Now, yesterday after having sex i noticed the base swelled up again. Has slight pain to the touch  as well. Never has been doing that before today and when the first incident happened basically.

Do you think i injured it again? I felt zero pain during sex that i feel would've been an "injury" i know you'll say "sometimes people don't feel pain or even realize they have a peyronies injury" but i'm just saying if this penis base swelling is obviously inflammation from an injury there SHOULD'VE logically been some sort of noticeable pain.

I'm worried. Do you think i damaged it MORE?

Yes VED therapy is different to a normal erection. A VED pulls blood into the penis via external vacuum, like a hicky, whereas a spontaneous erection is an entirely different process. Once VED suction is released via the valve the blood flows back out of the penis quite rapidly (unless you also have a natural erection). A VED session consists of a series of pumping and releasing actions, and as a result a great deal of blood flows into and out of your penis, more so than with a single natural erection. This is considered to promote penile health, and can help regain lost girth. But a VED must always be used with caution. Never over pump, just pump until you have a semi - a 50% erection or thereabouts, hold for a count of 10 then release, x10.

As for your swelling, your penis may well have not fully recovered from the original injury. The penis is a very complex organ and can take a considerable amount of time to fully recover. Be very gentle with it and use plenty of lube in order to minimize the risk of further trauma. Use sexual positions considered safe, such as missionary and doggy, never let your sexual partner on top. If she can't climax that way, then try the spooning position, and stimulate her clitoris by hand. You must do everything you can to avoid trauma, because after all, it is trauma that often causes the scarring responsible for developing Peyronie's Disease.

Welsh, do you think it's possible i got another peyronie's injury? Like i said during when this supposedly happened causing the base swelling there was no pain or popping which is what is usually indicated with peyronie's injuries. It's just that people cannot remember it as it could've been a while ago. While i know you'll say "that's not always the case" from what i understand it usually is. So is it possible this base swelling is not as bad as i'm thinking it is?

Peyronie's Disease can be triggered by different factors. From outright painful injuries, to painless micro trauma, the ageing process and sheer bad luck (regarding one's genes). With younger men and teenagers it does seem to be, more often than not, injuries incurred during sexual activity that trigger the disease. But it is impossible to be certain of anything when it comes to Peyronie's. I can't tell you whether you have injured yourself, or whether it is a new injury. I am not a urologist. But my personal opinion is that your original injury has not fully healed. As I have said before, the penis is a complex organ which can take a considerable amount of time to fully heal. And contrary to what you might believe, physical trauma is not always associated with pain.

I think you are over analysing the situation. Just give your penis a rest, be gentle with it, and with any luck your injury will heal in time. Get another opinion from a decent Peyronie's specialist, and go from there.

I haven't lost a huge amount, but I have lost some.  I think most people's girth and length are affected somewhat, but not everyone's.

Bud luck

Waleswelsh, when I do the VED I hold the erection when is at 75% or even 100%. You only pump until 50% erection?
