Hey everyone,

Not too pumped to be here... but glad there is a resource to come to :)

So I sit at a computer all day at my job... and somehow this caused an injury.

Three months ago, I was extremely busy at work, one of those days where I didn't leave my desk for almost a full 8 hours except to go to the bathroom.

Anyway, I had on a new pair of jeans that didn't really fit me that well (tight when sitting) and somehow the combination of tight jeans and sitting all day caused an injury.

When I left to go home, I noticed that my penis kind of felt numb... no pain, just numb. When I arrived home I noticed the left side of my penis started to hurt, especially when lying down. The feeling was that of a slight burning pain or ache. I also noticed that a deep vein on the left side was more prominent and seems to be in the location where the pain is coming from.

Three months later, this pain is still around. The things I've noticed are as follows:

- Sex or masturbation irritates it.

- Anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin and ibuprofin do help

- I've always had a slight hour-glass shape (when flaccid) that seemingly comes and goes throughout the day... but it is much more prominent now.

- I have no curvature or hour-glass shape when erect.

-flaccid penis just feels "harder" than normal... like blood flow is being restricted

In the last three months, I've probably had 3 stints where I've completely left my penis alone for a full week. Penis feels better on those weeks, but the problem still doesn't resolve itself.

I know the main thing I need to do is go to a urologist and get examined, and that 7 days probably isn't long enough of a time to completely heal... but after 3 months can I still expect a recovery if this is a vascular injury? Does this sound like Peyronies?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry you're here under these circumstances, but know that there is no better place to be!  There is peace in knowing there are people here who are having the same problems and concerns or have been through it.  Dig in and research the forums.

My guess is your jeans probably didn't cause that injury that day, but others here are far more knowledgeable of that... But I too sit at a desk/computer all day.  I run an IT consulting company and seldom get a break.  I would say mine developed slowly over time until it got to a point of being a horrible pain.  I'm in a phase with it where sitting or standing I'm pretty miserable.  Do you have any hard spots or anything like that?  Mine developed after diagnosis.  So, most likely a uro could tell you what's going on.  I'm a newbie here, so stick around and see what the "old guys" have to say.  :)

Max, see a Peyronie's specialist and get an ultrasound, find out exactly what's going on. If hourglassing is worse, that's not good.

Currently the medical literature identifies nothing other than Peyronie's for penile bending, this is important because it means that if you have hourglassing or bending even if currently limited to flaccid, you're likely to have Peyronie's, but also important because if it is indeed a vascular injury due to a range of factors, you will need to put in extra work to diagnose something until now undocumented (as common as it may be)

What you describe is not unlike my case or anyone else's. I had some dents and hinging since 18 years old, and it got worse over the years, after sex etc, until it started to get very bad for no reason reason in particular. Erections were not effected until I was 24 or so. I also thought it was penile thrombosis or a penile aneurism, and part of me still suspects this, yet even in cases of penile aneurism, I cannot find a documented case causing bending.  It is possible that you have thrombosis or an aneurism of some sort such as described here http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.2164/jandrol.111.015503/pdf

I recommend you see a top Peyronie's specialist ASAP, and if he does not help you, see another one. Until then do everything you can do avoid worsening. Do not sit after masturbation or sex, do not clench your pelvic muscles during sex, etc. These are things that stopped the progression for me. Do everything you can to avoid aggravating it. Please keep us updated on your condition!

Hey guys,

So my pain started 3 months ago. After a long day of sitting (heavy day at the office) I got up to leave and my penis felt kind of numb, which was odd. When I got home and got in bed, I noticed a burning ache on the upper left side of the shaft. There was no other cause of injury that I could think of whatsoever.

The next morning, I noticed that a vein in that very area of pain was protruding much more than normal. There also seemed to be some inflammation around it.

This pain and inflammation has not gone away for three full months. I've noticed the following.

1. Inflammation is somehow affecting blood flow or nerves as my penis seems to not be getting the same amount of blood flow when flaccid.

2. Sex or masturbation definitely aggravates it.

3. I've been able to leave it alone for periods of up to 10 days and it gets a bit better, however as soon as I have sex it tends to come back.

4. Aspirin and Iburprofen definitely help both the pain and inflammation, also seems to free up the blood flow.

5. I have no curvature, but that protruding vein is definitely visible when erect.

I went to the urologist and he said there are no plaques that he could feel... and that I should just wait it out and not have sex for a couple weeks.  I asked about the pain still being there, and he said it is possible that I injured it somehow and there is a small amount of scar tissue. He said if I still felt uncomfortable about it I could come back and get an ultrasound.

Does this sound like Peyronies to you guys? Should I go with the no sex for a couple weeks and see what happens? Also, what are the odds that permanent damage has occurred. I would hate to think that I damaged something just because I couldn't be abstinent for a couple weeks.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Max, My penis became numb after a vascular or lymphatic injury caused by a VED. I still have that a bit and I think it tends to come with edema of some sort.

What you describe sounds like lymphocele or lymph irritation. It takes a lot of rest to get rid of. It may also be something vascular. Lymphocele appears below the glands and looks a lot like a vein, which gets worse after sex.

Regarding the original post, sitting made my issues MUCH MUCH worse, and in fact, contributed to a large portion of my entire deformity.

Of course, you could have Peyronie's, so find a specialist near you, and bring up your concerns, try to get a definitive diagnosis via ultrasound (even at your current urologist).

Merged you two topics as they are in the same subject and it is difficult to followup.

Hey guys, posted once here before back in March.

Long story short, my penis started hurting after a long day of sitting (no idea how this injured it). From then on I had a spot on the left side that would constantly ache and sex or masturbation just made it worse. Went to a urologist and got completely dismissed basically, "If you can still get it up, you're fine, take vitamin e and see what happens." Horrible doctor.

It's now been 9 months now and that little sore spot has developed into a hardened lump or small band (you can only really feel it when I am partially or fully erect). It manifests itself as a small dent when erect, and when flaccid I often show an hourglass type effect. There is no noticeable bend when erect, but it does feel as though I've lost a tad bit of length and girth. Worst of all, my penis just feels like the blood flow isn't right, it's very uncomfortable.

Anyway, I didn't want to mess around with another bad urologist, visit so I just ordered pentox and cialis online from an online pharmacy I've used for years (and trust). I know this isn't the ideal situation, however I've never had a problem with the meds before.

Question is, I'm curious to know just "how bad" my plaque or scar is. Would there be any added benefit from seeing this and officially getting diagnosed? And most of all, I'm really not looking forward to getting an injection into my penis for an ultrasound. Could this shot potentially cause damage? Are there alternatives to getting a shot?

Thanks for your knowledge and advice.

Cheers.

Madmax.

If you really want to know they yes see a specialist and get it officially diagnosed.
