I researched it and read other threads in the forum here, everything seems positive the ONLY concern i have is the circumcision...not sure how i feel about that. My friend said he he regrets getting it circumcised at 29 years old due to loss of senses compared to having skin. Is there an option to not be?

Also do most people think that STAGE is the BEST SURGERY going atm for penile curvature? id love if anyone has any information regarding other surgery just as effective?

First circumcision is a personal choice. I also know a young man who was circumcised at age 21 and he says the sensation during sex is MUCH BETTER. So you will always hear differing opinions on this without a clear answer.

There are multiple surgical techniques. What is best for you depends entirely on your symptoms, degree of curvature, etc. There is not one technique for everyone. What is more important.... is that your surgeon is experienced and he/she will likely be best a determining the procedure involved. Even the best procedure can be done poorly by an well intentioned but lesser experienced surgeon.

Hi mic this is regards to the circumcision part.

don't do it.. don't get circumcized. you can be technically 'cut' but will retain your foreskin. it's a known fact that skin without protection toughens up and loses sensation. i found this on the top of my glans after the first procedure i had which left me with the foreskin down half way. no to mention it was painful until the skin toughens up. so don't go on heresay that some random guy now feels more sensation.. we're born with a foreskin for a reason. as an adult male, pass on this as you know what its like to have a foreskin and then know how crap it is to not have one.

as you know i've had the procedure with Dr Kuehhas after a botch job here in Melbourne too. The previous surgeon managed to ruin my foreskin and totally displaced my phrenulum where it was reattached twisted and not aligned... not to mention the incredibly bad suture job which left a really bad scar.

Dr Kuehhas reconstructed my phrenulum and reattached everything aligned and did a very very neat job of the stitching. Now it looks great and its only 7 weeks after the procedure. So after 6 months pass and a planned scar management lazer procedure is done i should be left with a very clean job. It wont be the same as it was but it looks really really good even at this stage.

I don't know how low dr love cut your foreskin for the previous procedures, but if it was low enough (at least 3-4 cms below the glans) then you will be ok (as dr Kuehhas will have to cut away the fibrous scarring around the first circumcision otherwise the scar will just get even thicker).

I can attest that after my procedure with Dr Kuehhas, while it was expensive.. it was well worth it. I'm now on the mend and it's looking better every day.

The only reason circumcision may be proposed is because it provides a quicker healing process. The foreskin will swell incredibly, but i've been through that and its no big deal. you'll survive, and have ur foreskin in tact.

Hi M!
It's true I had many surgeries but 'just' two nesbit before STAGE..as you. I try to answer to your questions.
Trust me, no one probably can understand you better than me, and, trust M, if your sensation has not been ruined, I you will be happy. Kuhheas will fix everything. But listen to me, it will takes a lot and it will be a long journey. It will takes probably 6 months/1 year to complete the healing process, a lot more than normal since your penis is not 'virgin' anymore.
Yeah, you are going to lose some length, Kuehhas's going to say you for sure..this because to remove all the stitches/bumps/lumps he need to make incisions. I lost 2cm.
Retraction could happen, considering your situation. In that case what you will experience the feeling that your penis is hard (this because tunica harden), swelling (but it's not real swelling, it is just skin accumulated that cannot cover the penis retracted). But you can reverse retraction. It will be scary, I can't deny, right now I see my penis incredibly small but Kuehhas told me it will be back to the post-op length. About gaining length back, I think you will be able to come back to the length before the surgery (with Kuehhas), but you have to work very hard and dress the extender for a lot. For example, now I'm 17.5/18 , even if it the length is hidden right now because of the retraction, I think I will be able to come back to 20.

If we want to start a circumcision debate the let's do that in the "Off topics" board and try to keep this one on track regarding the Stage Procedure.

But I do need to clear up that I take slight offense to the "hearsay" comment above. When I say I know a guy it is the truth. A friend of my son who I know and have talked to personally about the procedure he had at age 21. So in this case it is fact.

LWillisjr, i think you need to leave your emotions and offence out of this.

I've been through this personally. and i'm going by what studies have backed up in regards to skin desensitization (a simple google job will get you the info).. not to mention personal experience which aligns with that having had half my glans exposed for a while to see the difference. so what has more weight? a one off experience of a friend or studies which indicate to the opposite with multiple samples, including a personal experience straight from the patients mouth which aligns with the study? Also mic is another ozzie from melb like myself going through the exact same thing that I have including having seen the same initial 'dr' ..  i have an interest that he makes the best decision as i know the hell he's going through. thats what i'm focusing on in my reply. I'm further down the track and can advise what i've gone through with the STAGE technique which is what his question is about. Also he doesn't want to lose his foreskin if you read his post, so i'm letting him know he doesn't have to.

The basic fact is that circumcision IS in relation to the STAGE technique as it is part of the operation. I had to discuss this with Dr Kuehhas and make a decision on it. Nothing here is up for debate its just what went down. So this debate you refer to is non existant.

As I said... keep ur emotions/offence in check because that's whats off topic here. try to stick to fact where its backed up by study and where the trials point to a common conclusion.. not one offs/anomalies. Thats unreliable info which may lead to a bad decision.

mic.. if you have any questions ask Dr Kuehhas as a backup. He's very knowledgeable and really goes into detail and will give you angles you didn't even think of. He did so when I had issues with the androcur and getting my testosterone back to regular levels.. which affected blood flow to my penis and delayed recovery (and helped cause retraction). I was thinking i'd have to go on testosterone therapy but he advised against it and told me why which really clarified what has happening to me and what I should actually do, and what I shouldn't do and why. So when you get the chance ask away... get all the info you can and clarify concerns with him as the checkpoint.

danCC

if you want a test mic.. go through a few days with ur foreskin fully retracted.. don't give it any relief in that period. that'll tell you better than anything

Your style of answering is not what we are used on this forum.
Personal attacks are not allowed here.
You have not posted any studies to back your theories so everything you say is in the air.
Also you are not yet in a position to decide what is off topic and what not.
Don't abuse LWillisjr because he is a patient person.
See my post as a warning!!!
Apologizing to all the forum members for the off topic post.

Seriously?

I was not attacking you, I was simply stating that circumcision is a choice. There are studies both ways, there are pros and cons both ways. You have some first hand knowledge, I have some first hand knowledge. You referred to my comment as hearsay.

And yes I said if this gets into a circumcision discussion it is off topic from the original post. It isn't just relative to the Stage technique, it is related to all penile surgical procedures.

Dr Franklin who has done hundreds of penis surgeries (made the STAGE technique) and also does other surgeries such as sex changes... he told me circumcision was a matter of preference. He also said something on the lines of their being no scientific evidence to backup that you loose sensitivity or something like that.

i can confirm what stevew87 is saying. circumcision is not mandatory. depends on each case. dr kuehhas told me he can spare my foreskin. i like to keep it  ;D

hey guys!

Let me go back to this subject,
DanCC says here that he got his foreskin back thanks to Kuehhas, how is this possible?

I myself lost my foreskin during my first surgery leaving me a nasty scar.

I'm looking for my next surgery not to lose any extra skin and to have a flat scar.
But is it possible to recover as DanCC says?

Thank you

Alex83

Ah as much for me, I don't think I understood what DanCC is saying, he actually says that during his first surgery, the scar prevented the foreskin from retracting.

I thought he had lost his foreskin and that kuehhas had done a skin graft.
