And I'm still unsure if I have Peyronie's.

Erections at 10-15 degrees still. Whole left side of penis is harder and more rubber-like than right side. Weaker erections, although I can still get 100% boners and morning wood every day.

Post-ejaculatory curving of flaccid penis to the left. My flaccid penis is curved to the left, sometimes it straightens out. This only happened after my injury 7 months ago.

No hard, marble-like masses. Stretched flaccid length hasn't changed. Erect length hasn't changed.

I have pelvic floor dysfunction as diagnosed by uro familiar with Peyronie's (he participated in the Xiaflex trials). He did an Ultrasound 5 months ago and found no plaques, and concluded that the bending and twisting was due to pelvic floor dysfunction.
My physiotherapist found that the left side of my pelvic floor was in constant spasm, right side was fine.

Today I felt a jolt of pain on the left side of my penis that lasted maybe 10 seconds. Took a nap, no more pain. Still a curved flaccid penis though.

No pain in erect penis. Slight discomfort in left side of flaccid penis at times.
Confirmed varicocele on left testicle.

This has been going on for 7-8 months.

Ejaculation seems to make everything worse? Not sure.

Anybody with similar symptoms? I'm still not sure what's going on. :(

What is the treatment you made during those 7 months?

James
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.

My only treatment has been 1-2 tablets of Pentox 400mg daily.

400 mg daily Pentox will have no effect as I know
2*400 mg daily is a starting quantity, 3*400 mg is the regular dosage given by leading Peyronies specialists.
We have also testimonies on the forum that 3*400 mg daily Pentox helps with the pain.
Consistency is the key for any treatment, not just Pentox.
What about VED and/ot traction? Low dose Cialis? The doctor didn't proposed you?

I BEG you, to ask your urologist what causes the bending exactly.

If it is your pelvic floor, does this mean that it has caused veins to enlarge and cause bending? what is the mechanism!!??

I have similar symptoms as you, and no doubt other guys do too. No detectable plaque, post ejaculatory bending and pelvic issues.

Cassovo

My doc believes that the contracted muscles deep within the pelvic floor on my left side are causing the bending and twisting.

Think of it this way, take 2 long balloons. Put tape around part of the base of one of the balloons. Fill them both with water. The balloon with the tape will be more difficult to fill and will twist/turn differently than the untaped balloon. A constantly spasmed/contracted pelvic floor is like this tape.

He did not prescribe VED/traction. He gave me free cialis just in case I wanted to take it but didn't say I needed to.

He only gave me Pentox when I brought up my concerns about Peyronie's, saying that taking Pentox couldn't hurt so why not.

He believed that my pelvic floor issues were causing all of my symptoms

I understand that your symptoms started after an accident, so maybe it is Peyronies.
You still have good erections and didn't lose length so better you start taking 3*400 mg Pentox, low dose Cialis (2.5 mg) and start VED.
I am also strongly recommend you to see an other urologist, preferable a Peyronies specialist to get a second opinion.
All above are may opinion, you may follow or not, your decision.

My urologist is the only Peyronie's specialist in the Philadelphia area, so I can't really go to anybody else :(

I have a follow-up on Wednesday, so I am going to ask for a second ultrasound to see if anything's changed.

I don't know who is your Peyronies specialist (you didn't mention his name) but this what we have on our doctors list:
Philadelphia,
Dr. Michael Metro at 609 W Germantown Pike, East Norristown PA 19043  (although they will be moving soon to 317 Germantown Pike). Phone: 610-233-3580.
prescribing Pentox, L-Arginine, Cialis and traction
I am seeing Dr. Metro for my Peyronies Disease as well.  In my opinion he is very good and up to date on Peyronies Disease. He is aware of this website.
He put me on Pentox, L-Argeinine na drecommended traction 2-3 hours per day. He was part of the Xiaflex trials and is very positive about using it to treat Peyronies Disease.
Dr. Bruce B. Garber
8815 Germantown Ave
Suite 34
Philadelphia, PA 19118

....I have finally found the right Doctor, he was attentive and thorough. He even ordered an ultrasound to see how blood flow is, and ordered a Testosterone test.....can't just jump right into surgery, there are certain steps that need to take place to confirm medically....he said something like, "you're too young to be out of the game."  and "we will help you get better".

James,

Yes, one of those doctors that you listed is my urologist.

I didn't know there was another in the Philadelphia area. I didn't want to throw out his name just because I am unsure of how he would feel about it, although I doubt he would mind.

james1947

I understand your point Cassovo.
Wednesday is tomorrow.
Good luck with the appointment. :)

Hey cassovo  suspecting I have similar problem. After my hernia surgery the condition. Seemed to worsen which leads me to believe it is a pelvic floor issue. What did the doc tell you to do. Any specific excercises? Thanks

These types of cases do not seem to meet the criteria of Peyronie's.  It may be an atypical type or unknown condition.  The good news is Neo has found helpful treatment strategies w non-inflammatory diet and hand traction.  Others have found relief through pelvic Floor treatment.  These sound like the best approaches.  I wish the medical specialists would research this (or these) atypical presentation cases!  I think we almost needs a unique topic for these types of cases on the forum.

Could be both.
If you have pelvic floor issues chances increase you get easier peyronies. Less blood flow, the penis is downstream the PF.

Having peyronies type symptoms is mechanically possibly by just having a tense pelvic floor. The PF muscles striate into the tunica and other tissues. A lot of imbalanced tension must be there to pull the whole penis to one side.

There are pelvic floor therapists.. also lot's of "diy" exercises. Like sitting on a small soft ball(then later a harder ball) and rolling back and fort to stretch the muscles. So called "reverse kegels" stretch the PF too.

I had a chronic tight pelvic floor, and even had a anal fissue in 2011 that failed to heal due to it.  Had to get surgery to fix it.

I recommend the book titled, "Headache of the Pelvis" as well if you are dealing with chronic pelvic pain syndrome, or chronic prostatitis.

I have similar symptoms too, it feels like the right side  base of my penis does not inflate just like how you described with the two balloons. Almost like that's whats causing it to bend to the left as right side is less inflated.

This also seems to be stretching my right side of th scrotum up i presume from right side of penis not inflating and being shorter?

I also notice when doing kegels my bend straightens up a bit.

Did you find any cure for this ?
