I have had a penis problem for about 2 years. I had my regular doctor refer me to a Urologist. I took some pictures of my erect penis, on advice from the internet. And I did not want to try to get an erection in front of a new doctor. So I talked to the Urologist. Then I told him I had taken some pictures of my erection. He asked to see my camera. After looking at my erection jpeg's on my camera, he told me that I have Peyronie's disease. He was an old doctor. He just glossed over the Peyronie's disease; and said the UCLA Urology Department  could help me more. He gave me a referal to UCLA Urology. I have not gone to UClA yet.

Could you give us some more details regarding your symptoms?
Try to read as much as you can regarding this disease on the forum and take with you to the appointment the files regarding VED, traction, Pentox, low dose Cialis.
Proposing you also to read more about Xiaflex.

In reply, I have had change in my penis length and girth. I have a limited desire for sex or masturbation. If I masturbate for a long long time. I can ejaculate. I don't like it; but, I am OK with the change. If it could be reversed, that would be great. But, I am realistic and think there may be no hope of putting Humpty Dumpty back together again.

What about treatment? Why you are not going to UCLA Urology Department?
You must start treatment if you want to fight this disease!!!
Check out also your testosterone level. It may be the culprit of your low sexual drive.

About 3 years ago, during the recession, I lost a job I really liked. I have been a High School teacherfor LAUSD for many years. After they cut the Arts programs, a lot of music and visual art teachers lost their jobs. I lost my job.The Superintendant was trying to get rid of anyone for any reason. Liberal arts teachers were cut, coaches were cut, et cetera. I stressed out terribly; and, called in sick for some time. Then I used my sick hours to stay at home and stress. I was given a young Psychiatrist and he later had me put into the Cedars Sinai Thalian clinic. After three days in the clinic, I was given a new Psychiatrist. He gave me medication that made me manic. That is all history; but, I will have to take medication for the rest of my life. I'm well and think of the medications as anybody who has to take medication for a physical or mental problem.

I am fine, now. But, it was during this period when I was manic and bipolar that I got my Peyronie's disease. I don't really know when, exactly. But, my erect penis is shorter than before and the girth is a little smaller in parts of my erect penis. It bends to the right about 20 - 25º. My erection used to be long with a little curve downward as a banana. I had big veins in my penis. Now it looks a lot different. Except the head of my penis is as big as it used to be. Now, But,I have little desire for sex. When I spend a lot of time masterbating I can ejaculate. But, it takes a long long time. The old doctor wrote a rererral for me to go the UCLA Urology Department. He told me they would be better to help me with medications I am taking and other issues. I plan to go to UCLA in January of 2015.

I don't think my penis will go back to being the way it used to be. I really don't want injections, or surgery. Maybe some medications. doug

I plan set up an appointment with UCLA after the new year.

Before injection and surgery, you can try oral medications, VED and/or traction.
Proposing you to read and understand the subject.
Pentox, low dose Cialis and VED helped me the most.

What medication were you taking when you developed Peyronie's disease?

I've got Obsessive–compulsive personality disorder (plus anxiety and mild depression) and the medication I'm taking pretty much kills my libido and nocturnal erections, although I'm able to maintain an erection with stimulation.

I believe that not having nocturnal erections for so much time (almost 2 years), plus the decreased libido, has contributed to develop Peyronie's disease in my case.
Age: 37
First onset: January 2014 (lasted 16 months) | Treatment: Q10 (ubiquinol) + Acetyl-L-Carnitine | Result: 15º curvature to right and narrowing at the base.
Second onset: January 2020.

Jonbinspain

A loss of libido, especially in a man's later years, is often caused by a sharp, drop in Testosterone levels. Low testosterone has already been linked to Peyronie's disease.

In many cases, it's the perfect storm. Low test, elevated blood pressure, for which Beta Blockers are often prescribed, and elevated blood sugar levels, and bingo! Perfect conditions for Peyronies to develop.

Excellent assessment Jonbinspain regarding the perfect storm, but may I add the your sentence bellow?
QuotePerfect conditions for Peyronies to develop.
I think should be:
Perfect conditions for Peyronies & ED to develop.
