Hello people,

I'm 20 years old now and I've got some plaque in my penis because of jelqing, clamping and VED. About a year ago I started to see my penis shape change and instead of growing my penis it started to become damaged. I stopped doing the exercises and I don't recommend anyone trying them, but that's your choice to make. Anyway, I stopped when I say that my penis was becomming 'hard flaccid', more purple colored, pale looking after masterbating and later on I started to see some 'dents' wich I now know are plaque's. Well.. I stopped the exercises when I saw this happening like maybe a little less than a year ago and I hoped it would become better, but it didn't. If anything, it seems to be getting even worse. The thing I worry about is that my testosterone level is quite low also for my age (it's 475 ng/dL) and I'm wondering if this might be something that is holding my recovery back. I'm being carefull with my penis now, but the condition seems to be getting worse at times. The discoloration, hard flaccid and plague are still there and even though the pain isn't there most of the time, my penile shape is becomming worse. I'm seriously considering TRT to make sure my condition won't get worse, but my question is: has anybody had any experience with Testosterone and could it work to stop the progression of the disease and maybe even help me gain my old shape/flexibility back? I hope some of you guys have experience in trying this so you could tell me your experience. Thanks.

I would firs ask how have you confirmed that you have plaque? Have you seen a doctor for a proper diagnosis? You refer to some changes, but it is quite normal for you to undergo some change at your age.

You refer to some 'damage' to your penis. But in what way, what are some details of this damage. You haven't really describe anything yet that would clearly indicate Peyronies.

Sorry for replying so late. I just went to one of the best urology clinics in Holland. My urologist told me I do have scar tissue in my penis and it is peyronies but not "real" peyronies. In other words: It's scar tissue, but it's mild and caused by trauma rather than biological factors according to him. He also measured my testosterone levels at 11 nmol/l wich is low for my age. I'm in a bad situation right now. I've been telling my doctors I think my testosterone is low for a looong ass time now but they won't listen. I've been measured before at 16/16.6/17 nmol/l and once 19 nmol/l while using an aromatase inhibitor (those increase testosterone slightly). I allways thought this was low and since reading about testosterone I'm sure it could help me with my problems (been dealing with depression, body issues, anxiety, low energy, etc.). Well anyway. This doc finally told me my testosterone is low and wanted to give me androgel. I told him I heard that shots every week are more effective and easier to dose, but he replied: "no if you do that you'll overdose and we won't do weekly injections we only do monthly injections". My mind was blown since stable levels of testosterone aren't going to happen on MONTHLY injections as far as I know. Well that wasn't all.. He also told me that since I'm skinny I can't possibly have high estrogen so he won't monitor/adjust E2 at all. He also said that HCG wasn't an option for me so basically he let's me choose between normal testosterone levels and fertility/normal testicular function. So basically.. I'm not on the gels and if I ever go on TRT I want to do it right (HCG, TEST injections and possibly AI.) Anyway. I'm still worried that these low testosterone levels will make me more at risk for more injuries. He was willing to give me cialis though and pentox (even though he never heard of these medicines having benefit for peyronies). I'm currently on cialis 5mg every other day but I think 2,5 would be enough (kinda expensive and 5 mg gives me a LOT of noctural erections even more than necessary I think). I'm going to ask my doc for pentox too and I'll be saving money for a VED soon. But I'm also thinking about testosterone still.. anyone had any benefit from taking it?? And would I benefit with my levels? To be clear my levels naturally are between 11 and 16 nmol/l, I'm 20 years old and optimal levels for teens/adolosents should be about 30/40 nmol/l said my urologist. Seems like a no brainer, but I can't just jump on TRT for reasons as stated above. Sorry for ranting, like I said I'm anxious and dutch (no expert at english). xd

From what I've read, I don't think Testosterone is any magic cure for Peyronie's.  There are men here using Testosterone, and I've never heard of any case where it suddenly resolved (or halted) their Peyronie's.

Testosterone is a huge issue unto itself.  For a few years, I was going through an "I MUST raise my testosterone" phase. My numbers were also low for my age and I couldn't find any doctor locally who seemed to know (or care) about it. Most are scared of Testosterone because they're spooked by altering hormone levels. And it does warrant respect.

The bottom line is I never went on Testosterone and now five years later, I had my Testosterone checked and it was much higher, through absolutely no effort of my own. I don't feel a bit different, and in fact, have had a recurrence of Peyronies Disease during this time. So I no longer really give a hoot what my T-levels are and it doesn't seem to impact my life or health very much that I can tell.

I also never got on T because it seems to be an incredibly labor-and-worry-intensive roller coaster ride trying to maintain proper T/E2 balance, etc. I read too many guys who had become truly obsessed with their T-levels and I was clearly going that route myself. Now five years later, my testosterone is well within the normal range and I don't feel any different. So I think I at least saved myself untold thousands of dollars and whole lot of obsessive concern about chasing numbers.

I would jump on the Pentox/Cialis option, work out, eat right, and not be so obsessed with your T-levels.  I don't, personally, think it's the magic bullet it gets made out to be by some.

Yes, I'm defenitely going for the cialis/pentox since it probably can only do good, no harm. May I ask at what age you got tested, why, and what those levels where? I thought since I'm twenty my testosterone levels could only go down from here so that's why I considered TRT. And also, because of the great stories I read about how testosterone can help you in almost every aspect of your life. Could be highly overrated, though. Some of those stories do sound to good to be true.

I seem to recall that at age 37, my Total Testosterone was 273, which is very low. The last time I had it tested, at age 42, it was 695 - the highest I've ever seen it. And this was with no attempt on my part to increase T through supplements or what have you. I can't explain it, but that's what the numbers show.

Low testosterone has been linked to causing Peyronies. I don't remember any study saying that it can help cure it, though.

Raising testosterone naturally is always the best way. Gym work, weight training, protein diet, etc.

I know it won't cure peyronies, but I also don't want to risk becomming more damaged. Especially if I start to use the VED I want to make sure that my body is capable of healing well, you know? Also, I think working out and diet can't have that much of an effect on testosterone (at least not for me) since my testosterone has been around 450 ng/dl when doing stronglifts 5x5 combined with a protein/fat rich diet and taking supplements like zinc. And I later measured it while doing nothing at all (eating whatever I want, no training and smoking) and it came back at about the same number.

First, it is annoying to go true all your posts to find out your age because your age is not written on your profile page!!!
Regarding Testosterone, you should be in the top in my opinion, it is 950 - 1070 for your age.
A few points to consider:
1. As your waist size goes up, your testosterone goes down. In fact, a 4-point increase in your body mass index, about 30 extra pounds on a 5'10" guy, can accelerate your age-related T decline by 10 years.
2. Men who lifted weights regularly experienced a 49 percent boost in their free testosterone levels. You need to push iron only twice a week to see the benefit.
3. Trimming lard from your diet can help you stay lean, but eliminating all fat can cause your T levels to plummet. To protect your heart and preserve your T, eat foods high in monounsaturated fats, food such as fish and nuts.
4. Alcohol can wreak havoc on your manly hormones. Limit your drinking to one or two glasses of beer or wine a night to avoid a drop in T.
5. Mental or physical stress can quickly depress your T levels. Stress causes cortisol to surge, which "suppresses the body's ability to make testosterone and utilize it within tissues. Cardio can be a great tension tamer, unless you overdo it. Injuries and fatigue are signs that your workout is more likely to lower T than raise it.

The above from an article I read.

It's hard finding a good HRT doctor, and a general urologist is not a great option, the fact he said "monthly T injections" immediately shows he doesn't have a clue. Every few days is best to keep E levels down, a week at most. HCG is mandatory. Not sure why you would rather shots than androgel though.

nestpillmart

you can use androgel in this treatment along with  HCG

Hey,
Thank you all for replying to my post. I'm aware that my testosterone levels aren't optimal and to be honest I just want to be on TRT for the rest of my life. I've been thinking about this for 3 years now and I've been arguing with doctors about this for a long time but they just won't do it.
When I went to this urologist who finally saw something wrong with my testosterone I though I was finally getting there, but the fact that he wouldn't discuss HCG with me and told me I should just freeze my sperm if I ever decided I wanted to have kids made me very angry.

I'm nearly 21, I have symptoms of low testosterone (low confidence, muscle/joint aches, allways tired, no motivation, depression, anxiety etc. etc.) and I really want to find a good TRT doc that checks Estradiol levels, gives me weekly shots and hcg, but there is nobody I can go to here in Holland. We only have one doc who'd give anyone hormones but he's an anti-aging doc and honestly I don't trust these kind of clinics really and he's VERY expensive.

What should I do? I've been thinking about going the illegal road but I don't want to risk it. I allready tried self-treatment with clomid and now I'm stuck with very annoying eye floaters that just won't go away. I'm to scared to buy my own stack and even though I won't get in trouble with the police for buying stuff online I can't really rely on an illegal source, that's just too risky.

All of this kills me. The first time I actually measured testosterone was after seeing close to zero results in the gym and reading about the symptoms on the internet. It all made sense to me and I instantly knew my testosterone was probably kinda low.

The fact that my penis isn't the same anymore depresses me very much, but I'm also stuck with low testosterone levels and frankly I don't like my body either. I know my testosterone isn't that low and it doesn't really make sense to me, but my body is really feminine. Wide hips, underdeveloped ribcage, tiny wrists, etc. I know that some people have it a lot worse than me (especially when it comes to peyronies) but I feel robbed of my male identity kinda.

I'm on anti-depressants now and my psych says I just have Body dismorphic disorder and I should let all of this be. I quit school because of this. I just can't deal with the stress. I want to get a job soon, but I'm afraid of what the future will bring for me.

What do you guys think? I allways assumed that extra testosterone would get me back on track. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but the only thing that keeps my head up at the moment is the thought that one day I'll beat the living crap out of this scar tissue and build my body to a more manly form with a little help of TRT.

You can't self treat. No matter what , you are better off doing nothing at all than taking blind shots with hormones. Playing around with Clomid is extremely careless. And this forum is not the place to be asking for expert advice on hormone replacement therapy. You may as well start a thread asking for advice on marine biology here.

I don't believe I actually broke a rule by posting my now deleted link, which I would imagine would be the "Vendor" rule, which I am not, and I'm not associated with that site, and the link was not directly commercial, it is a free forum financed in the same way this one is.

"Spamming the forum with promotions, links, or trolling for membership will not be allowed."

I don't think any of that applies. It's free, there's no ads, and the keyword is SPAMMING.
I'm not trying to stir things up or cause problems, just trying help this guy out. Access to information is the only way out of our personal hell.

I don't have nothing against your opinion nowhereman, but my opinion is different than yours regarding the website in the link.

Hello Nowhereman,

I know relying on illegal sources isn't smart. The thing is, I've read a lot about testosterone replacement theraphy and I know how to do it correctly and what blood tests to do and what hormone levels I should aim for that's not the point.

The only thing I don't know is how to get 100% clean substances from a doctor. Also, the clomid was an effort to raising my testosterone in the least drastical way possible, something no doctor in Holland would ever try

I don't know why it had such a bad effect on my eyes. I took a dose that's MUCH lower than what most people use for other purposes and according to other's eye problems should be temporary and on much highers doses than what I took. I guess I've just been unlucky.

I guess I'm not really asking for TRT advice here, I just want to know if I'm wrong or right for thinking TRT will affect my recovery of scar tissue in my penis in any way. There must be others on here who are on testosterone alongside the recommended treatments (cialis/pentox/VED/etc.), right?

The bottom line, everyone is responsible on his deeds and should do what he think is good for himself.
By the way, I made a search for testosterone on the forum main page and found 339 posts.
Maybe you will find some of them interesting. Have some natural testosterone therapies also.
