hi everyone,
im 43, first noticed the top/helmet part has an angle upwards (ie towards me) when erect about 3 months ago and then 2 hard plaque shapes about 1 months ago. one shape has developed into a ring that goes around the shaft about 60% this where the curve starts when erect,  and the other is a pea shaped dot near the base. starting to feel aware of a throbbing pain even when not erect and also hourglassing a little

As soon as I looked it up last month I have been taking vitamin e and Acetyl L-Carnitine daily.
Im suspect about all the supplements online though..

do many forum readers here take natural ginger? that looks encouraging..

just wondering also what the statistics are for stabilising, going away and getting worse. obviously a lot of factors here with this..

this forum is great ! thanks to all

Felix.no one can give you the perfect answer because no two cases are the same. Yours is the first I'VE read of someone describing a ring of plaque that goes around the base of the shaft. That's what I have a ring at the very base of my shaft and that's exactly where the curving or bending to the left starts. For me it started curving whrn I was abbout 34 and it never really got worse than what it curved in that first year. Never had pain, discomfort or lack of erections, just an annoying curve and loss in length. I tried vitamin e early on, but it made no difference, so I just didn't do anything and I haven't done anything to corect it. I figure it works and I'll leave well enough alone until they come up with a simple pill that you swallow with water and it restores you to your original form ans length. Until then, I'll just keep getting used to it.

I would ditch the vitamin E for CoQ10 or at least take both. See a specialist and try pentox, also traction and VED therapy.

A few guys take ginger but it hasn't been studied on Peyronies Disease.

Welcome to the forum. I suggest visiting a urologist for a proper diagnosis and examination, preferably a Peyronies Disease specialist if possible. I think most guys on here would recommend some form of treatment as the statistics for spontaneous recovery are very poor indeed - about 10%. Peyronies Disease is a progressive disease, which can be sexually debilitating in that it can lead to ED or severe deformity making intercourse difficult, and of course penile atrophy. Have a good look through the boards to see the various treatments available. Check out VED, pentox, low dose cialis and xiaflex for a start.

thanks everyone, my doctor is away until next week and I will see him right away when he gets back, he can refer me to a urologist and hopefully prescribe Pentox which, from reading a lot on this forum is reccommended. I'm also going to order Cialis and CoQ10. I figure taking the vitamin e and alc cant harm though?

Also, what is a low dose for Cialis? I see it comes in 2.5gm, 5gm upwards. What should I go for in your opinion? as I say I will consult a professional shortly..

Hi and thanks to everyone for replies ..

Cialis is a PDE5 inhibitor, from the same family as Viagra. It is unique in that it works over a longer period of time than its counterparts, keeping a healthy supply of blood to your penis. The low dose aspect basically refers to the dosage being lower than recommended for erectile dysfunction whilst syill promoting good blood flow. A low daily dose is usually between 2.5-10mg a day. Your uro might recommend the higher amount if you suffer with ED.

A daily Cialis dose of 10 mg is too high in my opinion.
Take in consideration that it remains in our body for 36 hours, overlap 12 hours of two doses if you are taking it daily.
This is the reason most doctors advising 5 mg daily if you have ED and 2.5 mg if no ED.
10 and 20 mg are prescribed for sexual activity.

Hi James. I'm purely going by what my uro and ED specialist have told me. I'm prescribed 10mg daily, 30mg for intercourse. I was told it would be less if the ED was not as severe as it is. I feel fine on it, no side effects etc.

Good to hear you have no side effects :)
For me, every dose above 5 mg makes me flushing, dizziness, sweating and back pain.
In any case, if that what your doctors prescribed you that what you should do :)
