Worried that VED has made things worse, can I expect results with meds alone?

Hi there,
hurt my penis during sex about 6 months ago now and soon after thought I was experiencing peyronies like symptoms.  I visited a urologist who said that this may be the case so I begun using a VED and taking Carnitine and Arginine.

My condition has worsened significantly since the initial injury and looking back on things now and given that I'm only 25, I wonder if I ended up doing more harm than good with the VED.  I would use it on and off, up and up until a few weeks ago, but I would go long periods without using it regularly.  In saying that, I think whenever I did use it I overpumped.  I am really worried that this has made things worse and now I am worried to use it at all!  I just want to fix this and get my penis back the way it was before all this, hence why I would use the pump.

I am now on Pentox, Cialis, L-Arginine, ACL, Ubiquinol, Celebrex, Fish oil, Tumeric, and drink ginger tea.

1) I am wondering if anyone thinks its a good idea to stop VED therapy all together?

2) I'm also curious as to whether all those meds and supplements mentioned above have a good chance of stopping this alone?

3) Are they likely to aid the following symptoms: the hard lines down the left side of my penis,
                                                                      curving to the left
                                                                      indentations
                                                                      Hourglassing
                                                                      Any length/girth loss
Hardness of the penis when flaccid

4) I have read a lot on the forums but is not clear to me how pentox has actually helped people?  How exactly is it supposed to fix it things?

and sorry for so many! but
5)  is mixing these all together a good idea or should I only be taking a couple of these - Is there a particular combination I should be doing or is all of this good?

I just want to do something about this so desperately!

I have to tell you that, unless you get very lucky, you're in this for the long haul. The meds you have mentioned are the ones most likely to arrest the development and possibly reverse your  peyronies. There is no magic formula for this disease. What works for one guy, won't work for another. It's really a matter of finding out what seems to work best for you, personally.

Any or all of the physical manifestations you mention are possible effects of Peyronies.

Pentox alters the viscosity of the blood. It helps with blood flow all over the body, including the penis.

If you have problems with VED, have you tried a traction device.? Alternatively, send Old Man a p.m. He's the go to guy on the subject of VED's

NeoV

CoQ10, Pentox, ALC, and Cialis have studies behind them to be effective on Peyronies and forum members report them to help.

Try traction but always do VED or traction very lightly.

Mine started at 24 and I'm almost 28 and im much better but not exactly the same as before. Be patient and in they meantime look into mental ways to get through this. Peyronies forced me to learn things like meditating, reading books on self improvement etc. it really sucks but you just have to stay committed.

6 months is not long and not long enough for the penis to heal. Hold on man.

Thank you guys for the replies, much appreciated.

I do own a traction device but I am extremely worried to use that or a VED for the time being as I am worried I have already caused much more harm than good by using them on and off for the past 5 or so months since the injury.  And thanks Jonginspain, I've been in contact with Oldman who has been extremely helpful.

I may resume VED or traction in a while, but I guess that's why I am wondering if the meds and supplements alone are likely to help?  As in, have many people seen major improvements in symptoms of peyronies while just doing oral treatment?  I know it's different for everyone but I would like to think there are more definitive measures to be taken for successful results.

Neov, that's great that you are much better.  Did you lose much length and girth?  How is it better, have you regained lost length/girth etc among other symptoms?  Do you think VED/traction is vital in fixing this or can I expect to see results by just taking oral treatments like I listed before?  I'd like to get results just with oral treatment if possible!

Some people seem absolutely adamant that Pentox has made their condition actually worse!  I know there are a lot of people against this claim, but is the study not also showing that 10% of peoples condition worsened while on Pentox?    I started Pentox last week, but if there's a chance it will worsen my condition, I will have to reassess.

I see so much discussion about Pentox maybe helping, but can anyone offer an insight into how it is much better?   There doesn't seem to be many people saying how it has helped - just that they've been taking it for 'x' amount of time.   Like I said, it seems people don't really talk about how it could actually make the condition WORSE, here.  People who report that here seem very adamant about the link between taking pentox and their condition worsening, so it can't be discounted.  This worries me..

My bend is at its worst when flaccid/semi-erect, when I am fully erect it is not as bad. Do you think the bending etc seen when flaccid/semi-erect is a sign of things to come for my erect penis?  Or could it mean that I am likely to see improvements since it's straighter when fully erect?

In addition I also read the "PENTOX effect on Peyronie's" stickied at the top of this page.

Seems as though Pentox here has only a 62.5% satisfaction in results, while a lot of others experience worsening of symptoms.  I simply dont want to take something for months if it's potentially going to make it way worse, increase plaque size etc.

Quotes like this are very concerning:  "I'm taking Potaba + Pentox + CoQ10 and watching my penis disappear."
"it hasn,t done anything much for my peyronies either. Still pain and still a shrinking dick."

"PENTOX made me worse I was told by Dr. Lue that the medication can make people worse in 10% of patients and was told that I was one of those 10%."

"started treatment when it was a mere pea sized plaque. Pentox, Ubiquinol, Vit E, Motrin, SOD, L Carnitine, L Arginine, D3, yad yada, yada. 6 months later,
I have a 45 degree upward curve and well as an hourglass effect. Also plaque is 4 x the size."

I just want to make things better.    Maybe I should try the approach the user "rd" had in his curing.  Peyronies Gone - Peyronies Society Forums

I would like to just live healthier and take these supplements and meds and it all works fantastically.  But the more I read the more doubtful I become of the effectiveness of such things.

No one on this forum is pushing you in any direction.
As I and others has stated, with Peyronies, what works for one, is not guaranties will work for others.
Think about the examples you have quoted, what was they situation without any treatment. Personally, I think was worst.
After reading the forum and understand better what other members have done and helped them or not, you may chose yourself what you want to do.
Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe ED.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

overcoming,

Do you really think 10% of patients worsening is evidence against pentox? That's simply outstanding! Considering 9/10 people got better.
Unfortunately once the disease starts the drugs and supplements will not appear to do much. That's because the penis has to create the scar tissue and attempt to heal itself, in my case it took at least 1 year to stabilize.

In the end all we have are studies. Personally I recommend traction more than anything else, but most of us differ. I don't take pentox (though I tried it) because I don't want to weaken my immune system and I don't like the side effects. To each his own.
