Hello
my partner has just been diagnosed with Peyronie's. He is pretty shocked; I am just trying to be supportive. He is 49; I am 50. We are both professors, and he, ironically, TEACHES a class on Human Sexuality. Sigh. I am still just trying to figure out how we can deal with this in away that is supportive, utilizes love and humor, etc.
Thoughts?
His biggest concern, of course, is that this will get worse....

Sorry he and you are going through this. New to all this myself. From what I've learned here, he should start on these supplements right away:

PENTOX 400mg- 3 times a day (will need prescription)
ACETYL L-CARNITINE
L-ARGININE
Ubiquinol

Low dose Cialis for blood flow

I take these too:

2 FISH OIL OMEGA 3
Vitamin D 1000
ZINC 25 mg
Vitamin B12

And also am following an anti- inflammatory diet.

Hopefully these things will stop progression.

I wish you both lots of luck and there are great people and information to be found here.

It will indeed get worst in 87% of the cases, maybe more with no treatment. Best chances to stop and even reverse the symptoms are if treated early.

mtnjew,
Don't be surprised even though he teaches on human sexuality. We find many urologists don't know how to effectively treat this as will. Read the link James posted for starters. There is much information on this forum, and suggest treatments depend on each person's symptoms. The key is to be proactive and do something. Don't just wait and expect things to get better.

Hello and welcome. As James has said, the likelihood of the disease progressing is very high. As such you should approach your partner's condition as though it will continue to progress and actively treat it in whichever way you deem fit. There are many options, but sparse clinical data. Pentox if appropriate, low dose daily tadalafil and moderate VED therapy would be my suggestion. Good luck.
