Hello everyone.

Im 21 years old, and have caused myself ...what I would consider to be peyronies. Not officially diagnosed, but the doctor can feel harder tissue and I have a very noticeable constriction (loss of girth) at the base of my penis, along with much pain especially when flacid, and erection problems. .
I was prescribed ibuprofen and cialis, and I guess thats all I can do?

I am an avid bicycle rider, which may have worsened the bloodflow problem.

I had an under-average sized penis, so I dedicated my time to try and enlarge myself by manual exercises and a pump, which were touted on the internet.. Unfortunately I was lied to and must have triggered scar tissue. I am polish and german, apparently more susceptible to peyrones? unfortunately I have never experienced intercourse in my lifetime, making this much harder to deal with. I already had body image issues, and now this. I believe I will commit suicide at the end of the year because this is too much for me to handle.

In a futile attempt: Has anyone ever experienced improvement and self-healing? I believe I am losing girth and length by the day now.
thank you for your time.

You've found the right place and you're not alone. I'm 27 and mine started at 24, had symptoms since 18. Now I'm almost entirely recovered. I many others here have had improvements. Do not give up. A lot of us have had suicidal thoughts, but in pushing on and committing to fighting this disease we have not only improved our physical situation but other aspects of our lives.

A lot of us here are your age and even the older guys got this at a young age. See a specialist and start treatment. Commit and hold on my friend, we're all here for you any time. PM me it any of us for support whenever.

I hope to see your voice here on the forums and I insist you are a specialist and begin some kind of treatment such as pentox and coQ10. Research these forums and hear from you soon.

Thank you so much for being there. Its absolutely shocking the lack of medical knowledge on this condition, especially from urologists! What a waste.

I have just scheduled a meeting with my past urologist and left a message with his nurses to possibly discuss getting on pentox and CoQ10 right away.
He is not a specialist in peyrones, and usually suggesting unknown medications to doctors causes them to get fussy and refuse, so wish me luck. He is understanding, so that is a good sign.

Medical care in central wisconsin, in usa...is probably marginal at best.

Things I have done for now:
Stopped all sexual actions and release, no ejaculation for 5 days now, which is a long time for me. hopefully this will raise testosterone levels and allow inflammation to go down. rest and relaxation
last night, 3 Mg L-arginine
5 mg tables of cialis every day
soaked in hot tub water for 20 minutes
picked up NATURAL vitamin E tablets, 400 IU, every morning and night? hopefully a good dose.
Eating lots of oysters and fish for omega 3
zinc and magnesium combination tablets
vitamin D3, 1000 iu every day.
going to go lift weights to increase testosterone, take tribulus supplements.

so far, I am much more plump than usual, some bending decrease but there is still constriction (one inch up from base of penis, baseball bat look) and pain when flacid, especially at base "ligament" of penis, when hanging down.
I absolutely REFUSE to lose function or form of my penis. failure to recover is not an option.

I need pointers on which way to turn next. VED seems promising, perhaps there is a well-known peyrones specialist I could see.

Sounds like a good plan.

While you injured yourself with exercises I'm wondering if VED therapy would help you if done correctly. Anyone have any comments on this? If you injure yourself with a pump can you use it to recover easily?

And could you please describe your symptoms to me and details regarding the scar or deformity? Keep up that attitude man!

joe365,

What kind of erection problems are you having? Can you achieve an erection but more difficult now.

Any curvature?

When erect, is the narrowing at the base your primary concern?

Other symptoms?

My History

joe365

Essentially I used to have a nice, even-girth penis from base to tip, and it was completely straight.

Now , an inch from the base, it curves about 10-30 degrees to the left, along with narrowing, . The base is thinner than the very end now, by almost a quarter of an inch when viewing width from 1st person perspective.
Constant pain when flaccid at the bend site, also inside my perineum, along as under the glans on the left side. Multiple problem points.

Erections do not last as long, or come as easy. after sexual activity or ejaculating, my penis hangs extremely ...flacid? almost like a stretched out balloon, and beings to thin and turtle almost immediately. Not plump like it used to be after sexual activity. erection is possible yet and not painful right now, and the quality depends directly on how long I have waited since last climax.

I do not notice any "hard lumps", but the supportive ligament at the top of my penis seems firmer now, the penis is less elastic as it used to be, especially on top at the base.
urologist said he felt a firmer "tissue" or "scaring at the base of my penis". Interestingly enough, this area is directly where my bicycle seat horn presses up upon. Im sure that it did not help with my condition.
Again, bicycle has been set aside for the next few years!

Oops! sorry about the full quote guys. I did not read that.

I'm 21 also and in a very similar situation to yourself having a below average penis which is waisting away and little sexual experience. Feel free to pm if ever need support. Don't give up can make some positive inroads with this disease.

Completely changed my diet today.
I cut out all sugars, all bread and grains.

doing nothing but unprocessed meat, fish oil, salmon, and fresh (organic) greens
hit the gym today and did some heavy weights on leg machine for testosterone boost.
going on 5 days now without any sexual activity, voice has actually gotten deeper.

Those changes sound like very positive steps, particularly the diet changes.

One thing to remember though, not getting erections can actually be harmful to your penis.  Are you  still getting nocturnal/morning wood?
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

Skunkworks, the only way I can have morning erections is if I stop sexual activity for at least one week. If I induce too many intentionally they are never quality erections. Limiting sexual activity was and still is important for me to reduce inflammation and deformity.

But we may all be different in this regard.

skunkworks

Yep there have been a few people with that experience, but in your case you do get morning erections after a week. If he does not, going without erections is damaging to the penis on its own, peyronie's or no, due to the lack of oxygenated blood. It can cause fibrosis and hardening on its own.

i can get a "lazy" morning erection. nothing like the towlel rack I used to get when I was 17 or 18, but I still have some morning erections.

I try to enduce an erection because It will actually start to hurt if I leave it flacid all day.

Started on the oral medication pentox yesterday.

So pentox, vitamin e, ginnko biloba, L-arginine, zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D3, and a T-Male testosterone booster.

I hopped on my bicycle yesterday which I realize that it was a mistake. I sat down for a split second and afterwards the pain was 10x as bad the entire day. The saddle horn is definitely what aggravated the condition. So if any of you are avid bicyclists, be careful and take a break from the bicycle for a bit. I believe there are main arteries in your perineum area and if you compress them and cut off blood flow all the time, it is probably mega bad news.

Still hitting the gym, lifting weights hard and trying to keep from sexual activity, aside from random erections to keep blood flow going.

joe365

"The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of bicycle saddle shape on penile blood flow during cycling. Penile blood flow was measured using a laser Doppler flowmeter in 20 potent male volunteers. In a counterbalanced, crossover design, measurements were taken in the standing and sitting positions, on either a narrow unpadded or wide unpadded saddle, before and after cycling for 5 min. Before cycling, penile blood flow (ml/min/100 g tissue) was significantly decreased from 1.6±0.7 to 1.5±0.7 (P=0.010) on the wide saddle and from 1.7±0.6 to 1.0±0.5 (P<0.001) on the narrow saddle. After 5 min of cycling, the changes in penile blood flow on the wide and narrow saddles were 0.34±0.49 and -0.38±0.49, respectively (P<0.001). The narrow saddle is associated with more significant reductions in penile blood flow and could be a source of blunt perineal trauma, potentially leading to erectile dysfunction."

I have a very very narrow saddle on my cyclocross bicycle. I realize now that it is perhaps 50% of the problem. The rest was probably those stupid penis enlargement exercises I tried.

Bike seats are awful. With a high seat in racing for example you are riding literally on the base of your penis, where many of us have scarring.

I had several accidents as a kid where for example, I rode down a massive staircase with my feet off the pedals, or when I feel and landing on my perineal area on the seat sideways on the ground. Both times were pretty traumatic and to this day I have a right and painful perineum and erectile issues. Not sure of course, how it has effected me, but I always felt like those incidents could have harmed me.

Get a special seat or stay off bikes and work on that pelvic area with stretching or massage. At your young age I imagine you'll find solutions to your problems. It took me years to figure out what habits I needed to change to help me but I did after all. Stay positive and strong and commit yourself, sounds like your doing so already!
